Skincare - Body -Sarah Michaels - Milk & Honey Bubble Bath

kind of synthetic smelling, but produced lots of big bubbles in the tub. smells nothing like softsoap's milk & honey body wash -for those who were wondering about this. available at target stores.

from the body shop's aromatherapy line. this has a very nice lavender scent and left my skin feeling moisturized after getting out of the bath. this also comes in a body lotion, and if it smells anything like the milk bath, i will definitely be purchasing that as well.

my dad also brought this from hong kong, so i am not entirely sure that it is available at body shop stores in the states. these come in packs of three in the following scents - strawberry, lime & mint, and mango & peach. they do a decent enough job of scenting the bath water, but again, they have nothing on lush's bath bombs. this is something i will use until it's finished, but would probably not buy again.
my dad brought this back for me from hong kong, so i have no idea if this line is available in the united states. i have this in pink grapefruit, and it's the most realistic smelling grapefruit body product i have ever smelled. an absolutely lovely, uplifting and citrusy shower gel. i've already told my dad the next time he's in hong kong, he has to get me more of this!
Lotions/ Creams -Sarah Michaels - Milk and Honey Extra Thick Body Cream

softsoap's milk & honey body wash has turned me into something of a milk & honey fiend. after hearing the raves about this particular product, i went on a feverish hunt throughout the city of chicago in order to locate this. i finally found the entire line of sarah michaels' milk & honey products at a target in the suburbs, so i purchased the body cream, the lotion, the scrub and the bubble bath. as far as moisturizing capabilities go, the cream is excellent - especially during the winter months when my skin gets dry. the scent was a disappointment, though - too synthetic, too plasticky. still, the overall quality of the cream is excellent for the price and worth a try.
like the shampoo, a gentle, everyday conditioner that is safe for all hair types. a note of caution for those with color treated hair: i ordered this in scent intensity 2 -- i have heard that it is best to avoid scent intensity 3 in mmu's hair products when one has color treated hair. the scent intensity in 2 was absolutely perfect, and i did not experience any problems with the conditioner interfering with my hair's color.
i have this, as well as the matching conditioner, in lime coconut-creme (scent intensity level 2). i have color treated hair, and have not experienced any problems with mmu's shampoo or conditioner. this is a nice, gentle everyday shampoo that gets extra points for the ability to customize your own scent.
Skincare - Body -MMU Cosmetics - sweet body butter

this is one of mmu's more moisturizing creams - contains shea butter, cocoa butter, sweet almond oil, jojoba oil and rose hip oil. this will be a staple for me in the upcoming winter months.
i have this in milk & honey and winter grapefruit. the milk & honey scent is ok, but has nothing on softsoap's milk & honey body wash. the winter grapefruit, on the other hand, is absolutely wonderful. a clean, uplifting citrusy scent that helps wake me up. i have only used both in the bath, so i can't vouch for this product's capabilities in the shower. as a bath product, this produces a decent amount of bubbles, but the scent is not quite as strong as i'd like and does not linger.
i received a sample of this many eons ago, shoved it into a drawer in my desk at work, and just recently remembered it. this is actually a very nice drugstore lotion for extremely dry skin. it is supposed to be unscented, but my intrepid nose was able to detect that slightly sythetic smell that most oil of olay products have. all the same, this is still a nice lotion that gets the job done.
i have this in rhythm, which is a coppery medium brown color. body & soul lipsticks are pricey, but high quality, comparable to nars. i find this lipstick to be long lasting and, even more importantly, not drying. i look forward to purchasing more from this line in the future.
there's something very synthetic about this scent that i did not like. i prefer the citrus/ginger scent from this line.
a nice smelling (lavender/herbal), gentle shampoo. safe for all hair types. i liked it, but don't think i'd buy it again, as it's really nothing special for the price ($18).
Skincare - Body -MMU Cosmetics - Fairy Floss Shea Butter Body Souffle

a cutesy cotton candy scent, if you're into that sort of thing. out of the many shea butter body souffle samples i ordered from mmu, this scent, along with the milk & honey, are my favorites. as i've said before, mmu has an overwhelming amount of scents to chose from, therefore, my advice is to get a few sampler packs in a variety of scents before ordering a full size.

don't buy this expecting an exact replica of softsoap's milk & honey shower gel, because it isn't. however, it is somewhat similar and therefore complimentary for those desperately seeking a lotion to layer the shower gel with. mmu's take on the milk & honey scent is much sweeter than softsoap's, but not outrageously so. and the shea butter base is wonderful for combatting dry skin.
