I think anyone having issues with this mascara is not giving it enough time. Some mascaras work better after they dry out a bit, and I really think that applies to this one. I agree, initially it is NOT a great mascara; but, once you let it dry out a bit I think it is pretty good. I wear every mascara over CG Lashblast Length in the yellow tube as I feel that is the best 'priming' mascara for my lashes. After the first coat of this mascara over the 'primer' I have decent volume but very natural looking. After the second coat (i always apply 2 anyway) my lashes are dark, smokey and voluminous. No smudging and very, very minor flaking after 8-10 hours of use. The brush reminds me of the CG Lashblast Volume one, maybe just a tad bit bigger around.

I have this in light and while it works and brightens the undereye area it does not cover darkness. I also found that it looks extremely cake after only a few hours. I'll continue to work with it, but initially I'm not that impressed. I also think that light is even a bit too light for my NC25 skin, but i guess that's the point, right?

This is my new favorite blush. It is a beautiful bright peach with a hint of pink with golden shimmer (very slight). It has been my go-to since I received it in the mail. I only got a sample size, but I'm almost out and will definitely be repurchasing the full size. Gives my NC25 skin the perfect flush of color without being overpowering or clown-ish. I have a tendancy to overdo blush, no matter what brand, color, formula so I use an ELF stippling brush to apply and it works beautifully. This also lasts almost all day on my skin. I've got combination skin right now but even if I blot 2x/day this is still lasting me around 7-8 hours which is amazing for ANY blush.

I use castor oil in my homemade oil cleanser. 3 parts castor to 1 part EVOO with a splash of jojoba and almond. wonderful for gently removing makeup and conditioning eyelashes.

I've been using this for about 3-4 weeks now and I'm really liking the effects so far. My skin type is oily/combo and highly acne prone. I'm 31 and still dealing with regular breakouts and cystic acne flare-ups. UGH. This product does somewhat help calm my cystic acne and reduce redness from fresh pop-ups. I can't say I've seen extensive repair on existing acne scars, but I will continue to use and monitor. My skin feels plump and my pores are less noticeable. I really like the overall result of using this serum and will continue to do so.

These shadows look beautiful in the pan and swatched, but once applied (even over a primer and colored base), they fade within hours. Lovely if you like that sheer wash of color, but not great for someone looking for a pigmented, long-lasting shadow.

Total crap product for me. This did NOTHING WHATSOEVER. I literally doused my hair with product, assuming that more would be better. nope. Felt like I was just putting water on my hair. I tried this for about a week and then dumped all the product out and kept the bottle. The bottle is great for storing/dispensing home-made brush spray. ;)

Eye Shadow -Everyday Minerals - Eyeshadows All

grumblegrumblegrumble... Never tried EDM eyeshadows before, so I made a purchase of about 8 or 10 'baby' sized shadows. The colors look beautiful online, but looks ARE deceiving. These are right there with Lily Lolo eyeshadows in formulation and pigmentation. Very poor in both categories. The only one I really liked was Nutmeg as a transition/crease shade. All others are misses. Will not repurchase and will most likely end up getting rid of the ones I have.

I use a splash of this in my homemade oil cleanser. I started to use it on its own as a facial moisturizer but it was a bit too greasy for me...not my face, but it would seep into my hair and cause my hairline to turn greasy real fast. I love it as a body moisturizer, but it's too costly to use it regularly in that manner.

ehhh....my first 'clean' mascara and not really my favorite since I've tried others. It's not bad but I have my gripes. The formula is very wet, but after about 2 months of letting it 'dry out' it does a good job of volumizing my long lashes. It flakes like crazy though. And for some reason, this irritates my eyes more than traditional 'unclean' mascaras. It is very black and lasts all day until I take it off (other than the flaking). No smudging at all. The brush is a traditional bristled brush that is somewhat sparse because it does get easily loaded up with product straight out of the tube. I found that I had to scrape all of the excess product off upon the first several initial uses.

I am making my best effort to no longer purchase products that have harsh chemicals, toxins, petrochemicals, dangerous preservatives, etc. I came across this one online-haul day an decided to go for it. I hate how normal remover strips my nails and dries out my cuticles. When it arrived in the mail, I was shocked to see how little the bottle was, afterall I spent almost $8 on it. But, after one use, I was amazed at how well it performed. it's a somewhat oily consistency that does wonders for my nails. And it really removes the polish extremely well. Even obstinant glitter polish is no match for this. I only have to use 1 cotton pad soaked with about 2 tips of the bottle and all 10 nails are clean. Truly amazing stuff, because I'd end up using 3-4 soaked pads with the 'normal' remover.

Eye Primer -Unlisted Brand - The All Natural Face - Oily Lid Eye Primer in Buff

I purchased this the same time I got the Magic Vegan Eyeshadow primer from TANF. This one comes in a pot, similar to a MAC paintpot (think a mini-sized Soft Ochre) and is a thick, creamy texture. I'm confused by the naming convention used for this product, because I find it's better for those with DRY lids, rather than oily ones. My lids dry out incredibly in the winter, so this was my go-to primer. It is very hydrating without being oily/greasy. I've found that if you use too much of this (like any other cream base) it will crease and turn into a hot mess. But used sparingly and on the right lid-type, you've got yourself a winner.

Eye Shadow -Unlisted Brand - The All Natural Face Shimmer Eyeshadow - all

I own numerous shades of this eyeshadow and I really enjoy each one of them. The formulation is great....although I do find that these shadows crease more than any other loose e/s I've used from other brands. Some of my favorite shades are: Metallic Antique Gold - an everyday wear, appropriate for the office. A neutral golden shade. Subdued - a subtle, purple/grey/taupe color, perfect for the crease. This color, unfortunately, creases on me the most. Fairy Mist - gorgeous!!! A golden taupe shade, also perfect for everyday wear or office-appropriate looks. A no-brainer! Plum Honey - a deep mauve/nude shade. Would look gorgeous on green eyes. Will repurchase many more!!

Crème -Unlisted Brand - The All Natural Face - Cream Foundation Compact in Medium Beige Warmer

I'm reviewing the cream foundation in True Beige and Light Beige Warm. I purchased both colors, not sure of which one would suit me best. I'm so glad I did, because if i mix a ration of 2 parts True Beige to 1 part Light Beige Warm it is the exact shade for me (approximately NC20-ish right now). The formula is a thick cream, almost a little too thick for a foundation. As soon as its applied to the skin it melts and blends in to perfection. i've found that due to the thick, drier consistency, a good hydrating primer or mist is essential prior to application. I apply with a stiff kabuki-style brush and buff it in. Gives me an air-brushed appearance every time. Coverage is light-medium. I have a lot of redness and some slowly-fading acne scars, and I find myself applying to layers to get the desired coverage. Does not break me out or look oily throughout the day. I still blot about 1-2x, but that goes for any foundation I'm using. This is an excellent alternative to my previous HG creme foundation - Cover Girl Aqua Smooth. I've been quickly weeding out the products that are not 'clean' and replacing them with products that have better-for-you ingredients. TANF offers some of my favorite products when it comes to natural/clean/green cosmetics.

Primer/ Corrector -Unlisted Brand - The All Natural Face Foundation Primer

LOVE THIS STUFF. Seriously, I had zero expectations of success when I ordered it, but I'm 'cleaning' my stash (i.e. buying products with cleaner ingredients) and wanted to try a less 'toxic' primer. This one hydrates my skin without making me look greasy. It also makes my foundation last a good 8-10 hours, which is normal wear for me. I have never broken out from this and will continue to repuchase forever. My only gripe is the packaging. it comes in plastic bottle with a pump, but the pump stopped working the second day I got it.
