Concealers -La Mer - The Radiant Concealer SPF25

I agree & like that this is very smooth, has sunscreen & doesn't settle into fine lines. However, the color choices & price will prevent me from buying this again. The medium was definitely too dark for me so I bought the light. It's really light - looks almost white on me. I like the pretty compact but $65 is just too much for this concealer.

Bronzers -Giorgio Armani - Sheer Bronzer #1
citylady 11/30/2009 4:19:00 PM
I agree with the majority. Scary dark in the compact, sheer & natural on a pale face. Like other Armani products, it's texture is sheer & silky allowing you to layer as you please. Edit several years later - no longer can use this although I love the sheerness and the shade. Just too much shimmer to be flattering on me.

Lipstick -Giorgio Armani - Rouge d"Armani # Pink 501

I love this lipstick too. I usually don't like full coverage lipsticks but this is so nice. It feels moist and is semi glossy. This color is a mlbb color on my barely pigmented lips. Very natural looking. Love the black magnetic case.

Eye Shadow -Giorgio Armani - Manta Ray #1
citylady 11/30/2009 4:12:00 PM
I really love the texture of armani eyeshadows. They are smooth and silky. Very easy to apply. I like that they are sheer - you can layer for stronger color. The Manta Ray has 2 colors in the little round compact that is the same size as the individual maestro shadows. My favorite is the "greige". It's a very pretty neutral matte color that is a combo of gray/taupe/beige maybe even a touch of mauve or plum depending on the light. The other side is an extremely dark charcoal color that would be good for lining.

Makeup Brushes -Giorgio Armani - Designer Shaping Foundation Brush
citylady 10/15/2009 11:48:00 PM
This is the best foundation brush I have used. I have Bobbi brown's, Trish McEvoy's & Chanel's. They are all good but this is excellent. It may be because the Armani brush has both natural & synthetic hair while the others are totally synthetic.

Lipstick -Giorgio Armani - Sheer Lipstick #21

I love this color! I agree with other reviewers that it's like Clinique's Black honey. Just got it yesterday so I can't comment on staying power but it goes on very smoothly. It's a very flattering color. Another Armani winner. We won't talk about the price!

Sunscreen -Clinique - Sun SPF50 Body Cream
citylady 6/9/2009 3:01:00 PM
Love this! Was using the Neutrogena SPF 55 Dry Touch and I like this better! It goes on smoothly and does not feel heavy, greasy or sticky. It's the lightest high SPF cream I've tried. Very elegant formula contains antioxidants & is a Paula's pick.

Sunscreen -Clinique - Sun SPF50 Face Cream

IF you want alot of sun protection for your face ( 80 - 90% of skin aging is due tot he sun!) this is a great choice. My skin is dry in the winter but is normal in summer. Some sunscreens with high SPFs can feel heavy & thick. I won't say this is light, but it's lighter feeling to me than most others (including Neutrogena ) After a few hours at the beach with bronzing powder over it, my face didn't look shiny. The formula has antioxidants and is a Paula's pick.

Blush -Yves Saint Laurent - Blush Variation in Pink Bloom #2
citylady 4/29/2009 2:11:00 PM
Love YSL blushes! Love the compacts and love the products. I don't like shimmery blushes but the shimmer in the YSL blushes is so fine that it's not obvious on your face even in direct sunlight. It just makes you glow. This is a beautiful pink. Pretty neutral and very flattering.

Blush -Yves Saint Laurent - Blush Variation #11

Love this! I love the luxurious little compact so I'm very happy that I actually love the blush just as much. I'm pale so I like a rosy bronzer and as other reviewers have said, this is a great blush/bronzer combo. Instead of applying blush and then some bronzer, this allows you to skip a step and just combine both colors on your brush. The colors look shimmery in the compact and I'm not a fan of shimmer. However, the powder seems so fine that the shimmer is not obvious on my face (say the way it is with Nars Orgasm blush). The only down side is that this "forced" me to buy other YSL blushes!

Eye Shadow -Bobbi Brown - Mink

Yes, I would buy this again but there's so much of it that I will probably want something else before much of it is used up. I agree with the other reviewers that it is great for crease and lining.

Concealers -By Terry - Touch-Expert

I have to add to the raves. It is expensive but worth it. I am 49 and have had dark shadows under my eyes all of my adult life. (Of course they have gotten worse with time). Also, the texture of the skin under my eyes is not perfectly smooth. I have tried sooo many concealers and really like this one. I have it in #1 and agree that it looks pinkish when it pumps out of the tube but then looks a neutral light radiant beige when it's on. It looks smooth, wears pretty well and doesn't crease into fine lines. I don't use the attached brush.

Mascara -Tarte - Lights Camera Lashes

Disappointed. Hate the purple case but I could've gotten over that. There's nothing wrong with this mascara if you want a natural look. I prefer a deeper black like so many mascaras have now. Also prefer a little more volume.

Styling Products -Living Proof - No Frizz Medium-Coarse hair
citylady 3/19/2009 2:01:00 PM
Update - I'm not in love anymore. Tried Fekkai's ironless straightening balm and much prefer that. Where has this been all of my life? It does work. Came in from the rain and my hair is just a touch frizzy. My hair always frizzes in high humidity. I blow dry it straight, use Fekkai glossing cream. Living Proof keeps it straight. The cons are the price and that it has alcohol.

Pressed Powders -Yves Saint Laurent - Matt and Radiant Pressed Powder
citylady 3/19/2009 10:25:00 AM
I love this powder! While I am a pushover for the cute and luxurious packaging, I think it's actually a great pressed powder for touch ups. My skin is dry but sometimes my t zone can have a little too much glow. I never bother witht he puff. I carry a tiny powder brush and use that to apply it. The powder is silky, naver chalky or cakey. I think it's best for someone with normal to dry skin.
