Powder -Bare Escentuals - bare Minerals Foundation #2/#3 & Mineral Veil

So far I do like this product. I have it in # 2 (farily light). The first time I applied this I looked very shiny and my skin had too much shimmer, but I realized I applied too much. I personally think this is the best mineral foundation so far. I have tried Philosophy Supernatural, Jane Iredale (both were to shiny looking and settled into my pores). I also tried Physcians Formula Mineral Powder which was too ashy and dry looking on my complexion. Bare Minerals looks very nice on my skin- natural and glowy. The price seems a bit high for such a little amount, but I woul definately repurchase. UPDATE: I realized when I looked at my skin in natural lighting, this stuff made my skin look WORSE than it is! It seems to accentuate little bumps and I tried this on my mom's face and WHOA... talk about craters. It made her pores looke HUUGE!! Even she was like damn, I gotta wash this crap off! lol. I didn't like the disco look that it gave me either. blah! Bottom line: I HATE ALL MINERAL POWDERS.

Lipstick -MAC - Blast O' Blue
rated 1 of 5

I don't know what the hell possessed me to buy this at the time. I think the pretty blue color had me mesmerized. It DOES NOT look pretty blue on the lips though! Looking like a dead corpse was not one of my beauty goals and I am very disappointed in this lipstick because I feel like they could've made the blue look better on the lips. It's also quite drying, so no only does it make your lips blue, but CHAPPED looking too. Quite hideous I might say.

Treatments -DERMAdoctor - Ain't Misbehavin' serum
rated 5 of 5

This is one of the fastest working acne products I've ever tried. Another plus is that it does not irritate my sensitive skin. However, if you use this in conjunction with the Ain't Misbehavin' cleanser, it will be very harsh and you will see more pimples (purging) and excessive dryness. The good thing is that it is temporary (at least it was for me). This product is very strong and has some very effective ingredients in it. I would say anyone with acne should give it a try! UPDATE: 4 Weeks and my skin is 90% clear !

Cleansers -DERMAdoctor - Ain't Misbehavin' cleanser

Okay, at first this stuff seemed like it was from hell. I have been using this in conjunction with the Ain't Misbehavin serum. The stuff made my skin breakout with red bumps ALL over my face like never before, and made it crazy dry. Imagine: zitty skin with excessive dryness. My family was asking me where I got all my pimples and new wrinkles from. I was SO ready to return this, but I thought to myself, "just try it for 4 weeks and then decide". I'm very glad I was patient because I exfoliated the top dry layer of dead skin cells, and it revealed smoother skin underneath and my skin is becoming more and more clear. Much of my skin is clearer now and I'm sticking with it for now. It has been 3 weeks so far, and I'm gonna update in about 2 more weeks as I still have several pimples left to kill. =P UPDATE: 4 Weeks and my skin is 90% clear !

Treatments -Unlisted Brand - Dr. CiLabo Pore White Peel

Thank God I had this product because my skin had been SUPER dry and gross looking due to use of AHA's. This is one of the best exfoliators I've ever used. What's even better is that it is non-abrasive - you put the stuff on your face and just ROLL off the dead skin. It works so quick and is non-irritating and leaves my skin baby soft. This is one of the best products from the Dr. Ci Labo line!

Moisturizers -Unlisted Brand - Jessica Wu - Dew Cream

This is a nice moisturizer that would probably work well for those who need a simple product for a simple regimen. I would totally use this if i didn't have a zit problem. Although it doesn't aggravate acne, i need something that does more, and i feel that $125 is a lot to pay for the ingredients that are in this product.

Moisturizers -Unlisted Brand - Dr. Ci Labo Super Moisture

This would be a great moisturizer for dry skin types that don't break out often. I tried this product and for the first couple days it did a nice job moisturizing, but after that -- zit city. Little bumps everywhere. There are a lot of ingredients in this moisturizer so my sensitive skin reacted to it i think. Too bad because I really wanted this product to work!

Powder -Physicians Formula - Mineral Wear Talc-Free Mineral Loose Powder
rated 5 of 5
chakalakakhan 5/29/2007 6:47:00 PM

Suprisingly nice for a drugstore foundation! The color is very good too which is very rare because drugstore foundations tend to have sucky color! It looks very natural on, doesn't cause breakout and is cheap! The brush that is included is a little rough on the skin, but it still works.

Treatments (Eye) -Patricia Wexler MD Dermatology - de-puff eye gel
rated 5 of 5
chakalakakhan 5/29/2007 6:40:00 PM

This was one of the better eye creams i have tried. I don't have wrinkles or dark circles, so puffiness is my only minor problem. This seems to do the trick to de-puff! It seems to have made the skin around my eyes nicer too

Treatments -Patricia Wexler MD Dermatology - acnostat lotion
rated 3 of 5
chakalakakhan 5/29/2007 6:38:00 PM

This product worked for me initially, but it is actually a lot stronger than it seems. It made my skin too dry, causing it to break out again eventually. (My skin does that when it is dry =P) Since my goal is to find a product that clears my skin while leaving it soft and supple, i had to move on from this. However, this product would probably work better for very oily skin types.

Treatments -Patricia Wexler MD Dermatology - glyco peel system
rated 2 of 5
chakalakakhan 5/29/2007 6:35:00 PM

60 bucks for this stupid set! I do regret buying it. It doesn't seem to do anything for my skin, except cause little pimples EVERY time i use it! My sister tried it and complained of the same thing. It didn't make my face glow or, seem clearer...NOTHING! It's a pretty worthless product. But at least it didn't burn my face or cause major irritation...

Moisturizers -Patricia Wexler MD Dermatology - Oil Free Hydrator SPF 30
rated 3 of 5
chakalakakhan 5/29/2007 6:32:00 PM

This might be a nice lotion for those with very oily skin. I do have oily skin but it left me feeling somewhat dry. I don't think it contains adequate UVA/UVB protection either, so stopped using it. As for acne, it didn't seem to aggravate or cause it, thank God.

Treatments -Patricia Wexler MD Dermatology - MMPi Skin Regenerating Serum
rated 4 of 5
chakalakakhan 5/29/2007 6:30:00 PM

This was a good serum. I don't really have a wrinkle problem as i'm still fairly young, but i was using this in conjunction (at the time), the acne stuff from her line. This serum didn't cause any irritation or acne, so thumbs up for that. I liked the fact that it was matte on my face too.

Skincare - Face -Prescriptives - Acne Defense Serum
rated 2 of 5
chakalakakhan 5/29/2007 6:25:00 PM

It's been a few days since i've started using this and so far i really like it. It's gentle for my sensitive skin and already my zits are almost gone! I've noticed with other acne products, it works but they are so drying at the same time! With this product i don't have the dryness so my skin looks healthy. I will update on this product! UPDATE: I had to give this 2 stars because after a few days of using this product, my skin went back to its same condition, maybe even worse! Small little bumps everywhere. This doesn't really work for me so time to move on to the next product...

Treatments -Kose - Refreshing spots
rated 2 of 5
chakalakakhan 5/28/2007 6:37:00 PM

Unsanitary packaging. The sponge tip is gross because it can harbor bacteria. I don't think this stuff works to well either. I feel like it's just water, alcohol, and fragrance. I don't like it and would not recommend it. There are much more effective spot treatments out there!
