Moisturizers -Unlisted Brand - Extra Virgin Olive Oil
catteys 12/2/2008 10:14:00 PM
Been using it as a make up remover for a week, so far so good! I pour the EVOO into a small bottle with a pump so it's much easier to pump it onto a cotton pad. 2 pumps on 1 cotton pad is enough for the whole face =) It melts off 90% off my make up (Foundation, Blush, Eye shadow and even Mac liquid Eyeliner!!!) in 1 second. Yes, 1 second, when you wipe, it's gone! Luckily I love the smell of olive oil too so I looove to wipe my face over and over again hahaha The only thing it cant remove is my Fasio mascara (OK I dont blame the oil, that mascara is evil, only Fancl cleansing oil can remove it) Anyway instead of just using Fancl for my whole face that I have to pump 3 times and that's expensive, now I save a LOT because I use only 2 pumps of EVOO + 1 pump of Fancl for the eyes =D I dont wanna use EVOO as a moisturiser because it's too greasy. Also my bf hates it. took 1 lippy off because I notice some little red spots on my face, I didnt have them before so I think it might be caused by the EVOO. They're really tiny and not painful. Maybe my skin is purging like some other reviewers said? I hope so! I'll update :) Edit: Can't use it as a make up remove anymore. Just like some reviewers, my face broke out. Now I stopped and my skin is recovering. Oh well maybe this oil is really too heavy for not very dry type of skin. Now I use it to shave and it's nice :) Result is sooo smooth as well!
Pressed Powders -Revlon - ColorStay Stay Natural Powder
catteys 12/2/2008 10:02:00 PM
I love the texture I love how it works (Natural and Long lasting!) but I hate the colour range! Anyway I got the closest one but still a little bit too light =/ Oh well at least after a couple of hours it blends into my skin quite naturally so I dont look like wearing a mask. But one day I just put on foundation and this powder (Without blush and eye make up), my boyfriend's roommate said to me 'You look pale today!' Hopefully I can find another product which works as well as this one and have the right colour for me :)
Liquid -Revlon - ColorStay Active Light Makeup SPF 25 ] [DISCONTINUED]

I'm using the second tube of it. It's cheap (1 tube can last about 4-5 months and I put on make up at least 5 days a week) It's long lasting - I have combination skin and my T-zone gets oily very easily, in about 2-3 hours after putting this foundation on with powder set on top, My T-zone will be a bit shiny. However I like this shiny way because it doesnt look greasy it's like natural healthy skin! I live in HK which is a very hot and humid place but it stays on my face properly without getting dull for a whole day in summer (Magico!) I'm not sure if this foundation causes me spots or little bumps on my face because I have been having these problems before anyway so as long as it doesnt make it worse, I will keep buying it. Oh 1 more thing, I realised when your skin condition is good, this foundation works specially well! Sometimes I have late nights and have 'tired' skin, it wont make my face look natural and healthy but makes fine lines even more visible!
Moisturizers -The Body Shop - Tea Tree Mattifying Moisture Gel
catteys 11/30/2008 4:00:00 AM
I bought this product because I ran out my Simple oil balancing moisturiser. It's not as good as the Simple one because it's not moisturing at all. I dont know if it helps preventing spots because I still get them occasionally. Anyway I wont buy it again it's an "I can have it or not" product.
I dont see any help from this product, i will not buy it again.
Moisturizers -The Body Shop - Vitamin C Skin Boost

I like this product. The texture is very nice i can spread it all over my face easily with only 1 pump =) Smells yummy. I've been using it for only a couple of days so im not sure if it works like other people say about it. But it does make my pores smaller! My skin feels smoother after applying it =) Quite expensive but i will buy it again **Update** 30 Nov 2008 I dont think I will buy it again now because it runs out incredibly quickly. There is nothing in the bottle in less than 2 months and I only pump it once each day! It's very easily absorbed but my spot scars are still there and it's not moisturing. Doesnt worth the money at all :(
I dont really like the smell. I like the Tea Tree most because that one works better on my combo skin. Breath of Fresh Air is ok i like to use it after washing my face. It is good to put on toner before applying cream. Overall it's an ok product.
My sister bought one, she likes it but i think it smells like coke. I wouldnt want to be smelling like coke =/
Bad smell. I can tolerate it but i do not like it at all. The herbs on top look disgusting i tried to peel them off. It cleans my face quite well but i dont use it for removing make up. I wear quite heavy make up so i must use cleansing oil to do the job. This soap can wash the oil away which is good. But DO NOT rub your face with this soap. I did it once and i nearly ruin my face. I got red patches and my face was totally irritated - it stings lots when i put on toner and night cream. Luckily it was ok in a couple of days. Wouldnt buy it again i wanna try something that smells nicer.
Bought this a month ago after reading lots of good reviews about it. It is an ok soap. Cheap compared to other Lush soap. Smells sweet and yummy for me(my boyfriend disagrees) So i'm not sure if everyone likes it. It does what soap should do - cleaning me quite well, i feel refreshed after a shower. I wouldnt buy it again because i found that it's actually quite pricey because it melts quickly. I'd prefer Honey I Washed the Kids.
I have the EDT and the perfume oil. I really love the scent! I like it sweet and nice. My boyfriend keeps sniffing me saying - you smell amazing! However it doesnt last very long on me, probably because of my very dry skin. It's not a problem as the little bottle is easy to carry around so i can reapply when the scent fades. Would defnitely buy again, it's actually quite cheap especially the oil - it lasts forever!
Sunscreen -Neutrogena - Ultra Sheer Dry-Touch Sunblock SPF 30
catteys 5/25/2008 11:26:00 PM
I use this product as a body sunscreen because it's too risky to try it on my face (it says that it wont clog pores but im still scared! I dont need sunscreen on my face anyway because all my base and foundation has spf) Well, this product works well on my body tho. A bean size amount is enough for me to spread onto my whole arm. Dont feel oily or sticky and very importantly, the smell is not too 'sunscreen-like'!! I used Nivea before and everytime i applied it, people could tell i put on sunscreen! It was so strong and covered my perfume =S I'm glad this one has only a tiny bit of chemical smell only! I put 3 on the price rating because I think it's a little bit pricey to use it on my body.
I bought it because I had spots and they looked so red =( But I dont think I bought a right colour it looks a bit yellowish on my face. I have to blend it very carefully to make it look a bit more natural. Dont really like it because it doesnt last very long and it makes my pores more visible! Luckily now i dont have so many spots so it's ok for covering a bit of blemish. Anyway, wont buy it again =/
It moisturize my lips very well, feel soft for hours. But the smell is a bit too sweet. I like honey but it's really strong =/ I can stand it tho and my bf loves it so I dont really mind. However, most of my friends are disgusted whenever i use it! The little box is cute but i'd prefer a lipstick design because it'd be more hygenic. When I used it up I will consider if I should buy it again (Probably will, if i dont like other smells)
Mascara -Fasio - Power-Stay Mascara 3D Curl Volume
catteys 5/19/2008 11:02:00 PM
After using Fasio, I threw all other mascara away (eg. maybelline, loreal, revlon..etc) My eyelids are really oily and I do need a good brand which can make sure my mascara will stay the same as i just applied - fasio does the job! It's the most powerful mascara I've ever seen, no 'panda eyes' even if I go swimming, cry, rub my eyes.. it just wont go off at all! I'm using 'Volume' now and it makes my little Asian eyelashes much thicker and darker =D *happy tears* It keeps my lashes curly too!! The only problem is that it's a bit tricky to remove. I use Fancl and it can be removed perfectly (I tried Acube point make up remover and it was effective too!) So if you choose a good brand of remover, problem solved ;) A really unbeatable advantage is its price. 60 hong kong dollars which is about 7.7USD or 4GBP) I'll keep using Fasio till I wont be able to buy it anymore =)
