Hair -Sacha Cosmetics - Sally - Hair One Hair Cleanser and Conditioner

I bought this in the olive oil version for dry hair. At first I liked it, my hair was smooth and silky so I didn't mind spending the extra time washing my hair with this stuff. I've used up almost the whole bottle now and its just not working for my anymore. My roots are greasy while the bottom of my hair is frizzy and full of static. I don't know what changed, I follow the directions as listed on the bottle. I also noticed my blonde hair being more brassy than usual. This stuff is way too time consuming (about 10-12 min total, and I don't have thick hair) and its left my hair a staticy mess. I wouldn't reccomend this to anyone and if you're thinking about trying it at least sallys sells sample sizes so you don't have to waste your money on a full bottle of this.

Brows -Revlon - Colorstay Brow Enhancer

I have this in dark blonde. I really like it for setting my brows while still looking natural. It can look a *bit* waxy and times and you really have to comb it out with an eyebrow brush so I took 1 lippie off for that. I find it looks more natural and provides more even coverage then powder. The highlighter side works well and is very easy to apply. I have somewhat long and unruly brows and this makes them lay flat. I will definelty repurchase.

Mascara -Maybelline - Pulse Perfection™ by Define-A-Lash® Vibrating Mascara ] ] [DISCONTINUED]

Not a fan of this mascara at all. I got it as an extra from a very generous swapper but unfortunately it doesn't work for me. I've noticed any kind of rubber brush gives me clumpy, spidery looking lashes. The vibrating aspect of this is difficult to use with the button being on the top of the wand and really does nothing for the length or volume of my lashes. The mascara formula itself isn't bad, no clumps or smudges. Over priced for a maybelline mascara and not worth it.

I love how intense the black color is but unfortunately it smudges very bad on me. Its a shame because the color and look of it is great. I wouldn't buy this again because I prefer L'oreal's extra intense liner.

I like this lipstick, but its not HG for me. It's a cool toned pink thats not too bright. I find the formula of this isn't as smooth as other lipsticks I've tried. There is no obnoxious taste or scent. Staying power is about average. I think this color is flattering on my cool toned fair skin but I'd imagine its not flattering on everyone. I'll use it up but I wouldn't repurchase.

Makeup Brushes -Sonia Kashuk - Synthetic Flat Top Multipurpose Brush

This brush is perfect for applying liquid foundations. It gives a flawless finish. I find that I only need to use 1 pump of foundation with this instead of 2 or 3 like with other brushes or sponges. Like a previous reviewer mentioned if you dip this into the foundation then apply the coverage is too heavy/cakey. The best way to apply is I dab a little on each area of my face then blend and the finish is perfect. I find this works well with both lighter coverage tinted moisturizers and heavier foundations like studio fix. Definetly use a light hand with this if you want a natural look. The handle is oddly shaped but that doesn't take away from the quality of this. It is expensive for drugstore brands, but less expensive then high end brands so I think its a wise investment of $15.

Mascara -Maybelline - Volum' Express The Falsies

I ♥ this mascara! I'm a fan of most maybelline mascaras but this is my favorite so far. It gives the volume that colossal does but it also gives length and definition and doesn't have a weird smell. The brush seemed odd at first but after I used it for a few days I really like it now. I even got complimented one day about how pretty and curly my lashes looked. Does it give me falsh looking lashes? No, but if I wanted false looking lashes I would just wear falsies lol. This mascara is my lashes but better! I will definetly repurchase. If you like your lashes to look full but still long, defined and not clumpy I suggest you try this. Edit: I still like this mascara but I've found it dries it really quickly and gets flakey by the end of the day. I took off a lippie for that and I don't think I will be repurchasing.

Hands down the WORST mascara I've ever used!!!! It did nothing for my lashes at all. No length, volume, or separation. It was a p.i.t.a. to take off too.

Eyeliner -L'Oreal - Carbon Black Lineur Intense Felt Tip Liquid Eyeliner

I love the applicator of this. I get get a thin or thick straight line perfectly and do a little winged look if I want. However, it didn't give me the dark black line I was hoping for. It doesn't smudge or flake on me either so that's a plus. Its not terrible but I'm sure there is better out there that will give you a darker color so I won't repurchase.

Liquid -Revlon - ColorStay Active Light Makeup SPF 25 ] [DISCONTINUED]

I love this foundation. Most foundations don't last on me all day but this one holds up really well. I liked the regular version of colorstay because it stays on all day but it just felt too heavy on my skin and was too difficult to remove. This one feels lightweight, but still covers without being too mask-like. It does smell kind of weird at first but the smell doesn't last. The consistency of it is almost like a tinted moisturizer, not a heavy foundationI use a primer then apply this with a damp sponge and I have a near flawless look that lasts through an 8 hour workday. I get so many compliments on how nice my complexion is looking when I wear this too. I took 1 lippie off becaue even the lightest shade, ivory 01, is a tad orange on my skin. Most revlon foundations are and its a shame because they are really good. Its not that noticable though and I will definetly repurchase.

I have this in dark brown and I really like it when I go for a more natural eye makeup look. It stays put all day and blends easily. The only downfall for me is that its difficult to get a defined line without pulling and tugging at my lids. I also feel like I have to press down really hard to get the color I want. Its a good eyeliner though and I would probably repurchase in another color.

Mascara -Maybelline - Volum' Express The Colossal in Absolute Black Limited Edition
rated 2 of 5
brittbrat118820 6/30/2010 10:42:00 AM

I like the regular version of this mascara, but this version of it was terrible! It clumped and smudged on me. The only plus side was it doesn't have the weird fake rose scent that the regular version does. Awful, don't get sucked into buying this because its limited edition. I'll stick with the regular version.

Tinted Moisturizer -Hard Candy - Sheer Envy Tinted Moisturizer spf15
rated 4 of 5
brittbrat118820 6/28/2010 4:09:00 PM

I got this in a swap and I'm loving it for summer:) Its lightweight but still covers enough. I have some minor scarring and a few blemishes to cover but I hate the look and feel of heavy foundation. This one covers just enough and lasts all day when I use a primer and set it with powder. The color fair is a pretty good match for my skin tone too, although I could probably go a shade darker since I've gotten some color from being out in the sun. It has spf too which is a plus. I just apply this instead of my regular moisturizer when I'm in a hurry and I know I'll have sun protection too. One word of caution DO NOT get this in your eyes it burns like hell!!! I'm very happy with this though and will repurchase. Oh and FYI I don't use the sheer envy primer with this.

Conditioner -Suave - Professionals Almond & Shea Butter
rated 5 of 5
brittbrat118820 5/27/2010 3:31:00 PM

The shampoo and conditioner of this has been a miracle for my hair. I've been getting compliments on how pretty my hair looks all week so I figured I should write a review for it . My hair has never been so soft and shiney with any other products. I have very fine, color treated blonde hair that is prone to frizz. The combo of the shampoo and conditioner cleans my hair without drying it out and leaves it smooth. I wasn't expecting much when I bought it because it's so cheap, but it said it moisturizes as well as aveda's dry remedy, which I love but can't afford. I wouldn't compare the 2 as I feel they are completely different products but they both give fantastic results! I highly recommend this and for $2 you can't go wrong.
