Lip Treatments -Nivea - A Kiss of Moisture

I think this stuff is great. It's hard for me to find a good moisturizer for my lips that doesn't contain SPF, or have a funny taste. The perfumey taste is always transferred from whetever I'm drinking out of into my mouth and it's no fun. That's why I like this. Subtle sweet smell, and no taste. Super cheap and super moisturizing.

Fragrances -Victoria's Secret - The Body Mist
rated 5 of 5
brandyalexander 4/14/2009 4:24:00 PM

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE The Body Mist!! It smells so fresh and clean and feminine. I spray it all over, and it lasts a surprisingly long time for a budy mist. It's not overpowering, at all. The price is great for a large bottle of this. I would definitely repurchase again and again!

Lip Gloss -Smashbox - O-GLOSS

A friend of mine introduced me to this product awhile back. It's such a fun concept and the tube is so pretty and pink, I had to have it! Well, when I got it home and started using it for myself I was a bit disappointed. My skin is very fair, so BRIGHT pink lips look a bit unnatural on me. Also, the smell is a little weird. A funny smell on top of the neon pink color is not a winning combination. Needless to say, I will not repurchase.

Tinted Moisturizer -Clinique - Moisture Sheer Tint [DISCONTINUED]
rated 5 of 5
brandyalexander 4/3/2009 4:03:00 PM

Love, love, love this! I'm on my second tube of the "fair." I do think that it's more of a foundation/cover-up than it is a moisturizer, but that's fine. Some days if my skin is extra dry, i'll put on the "dramitically different moisterizing gel first, and then the tinted moisturizer. It goes on smooth and easily, plus it lasts all day. I'm very lazy when it comes to applying foundation, so this is perfect for me.

Conditioner -Bumble & Bumble - Alojoba Conditioner
rated 2 of 5
brandyalexander 2/4/2009 12:29:00 PM

This was just as disappointing as the shampoo. My hair is very thick so I need to use a lot of product to get it all the way through my hair. I like conditioner to sit on my hair for a few minutes so the moisture can be absorbed. The Alojoba conditioner does not moisturize my hair hardly at all. My hair immediately soaks it up to the point where I feel like I never conditioned at all. I rinse my hair until it is squeaky clean so I don't unterstand why it still looks oily when it dries! Ugh! I will not repurchase this product. I do like the smell...I'll give it credit for that at least...

Shampoo -Bumble & Bumble - Alojoba Shampoo
rated 3 of 5
brandyalexander 2/4/2009 12:11:00 PM

I don't know what posessed me to purchase this product, but I did, and I am very disappointed. A little does NOT go a long way, especially because it doesn't lather. It rinses out well, but my hair still looks and feels oily after I blow dry it. I try to use it sparingly because it's so expensive, but because it doesn't lather I feel like I'm not really even washing my hair in the first place. I won't lie, I love the smell and it does make my hair soft, I just wish it looked cleaner when dry. I will not repurchase, but would consider another Bumble&bumble shampoo.

Moisturizers -Vaseline - Petroleum Jelly
rated 3 of 5
brandyalexander 1/5/2009 4:37:00 PM

I will say that this product has many uses, but do you know how useLESS it is for your skin!? Especially your face. It makes it feel soft of course, but it's not doing anything besides sitting there. It's never fully absorbed, and it needs to be reapplied frequently. You might as well douse yourself in vegetable oil and call it a day.

Fragrances -Philosophy - Amazing Grace cologne
rated 5 of 5
brandyalexander 1/5/2009 4:27:00 PM

I'm a big fan of this scent. It's light and fresh, not overwhelming at all. I bought the small bottle, and I keep in in my purse so I can reapply whenever. I do wish the scent lasted longer. About halfway through the day I feel it starts to fade. Next time I purchase, I'll try the eau de parfum instead of just the spray fragrance.

Shampoo -Oscar Blandi - Pronto Dry Shampoo
rated 4 of 5
brandyalexander 1/5/2009 4:22:00 PM

I finally bought this product the other day at Sephora. I've heard a lot about it, but never tried it for myself. I know that shampooing everyday is very damaging...not to mention time consuming. I have very thick, wavy brown hair which I like to straighten...also damaging. The day after i washed, styled and straightened my hair, I tried this out. I put it near the front of my hair mostly, and around my bangs. I must say that it did a great job absorbing the oil. Usually my bangs look awful if they aren't washed daily, but the actually looked clean. The only thing I'm not crazy about is that it dulls the color of my hair. Most of the powder is absorbed, but my hair still ends up looking a little dull. Maybe with more practice I'll get it right. This is, however, a huge time saver in the morning. I'm glad I finally tried it, I was missing out!

Lotions/ Creams -The Body Shop - Raspberry Body Butter
rated 5 of 5
brandyalexander 1/5/2009 4:12:00 PM

I LOVE this new body butter. Usually I stay away from fruity scents, but the raspberry isn't overpowering at all. It soaks into my skin completely with no sticky residue left behind. It may not provide enough moisture seeing as it's winter, but in the warmer months it will be perfect. Plus it smells super summer-y and delicious.

Treatments -Ojon - Restorative Hair Treatment
rated 4 of 5
brandyalexander 10/6/2008 4:26:00 PM

I bought the small jar of this product after a week's vacation on the ocean. My hair was yucky from the salt water and I'm a fan of other Ojon products, so I decided on this. My hair is very thick and medium length, so it took about half of the jar to cover all of my hair. This was a small jar, but for $21...please. Although expensive, it did make my hair very soft and shiny. I think I would explore other hair treatments before I bought this again, only because of how pricey it is.

Mascara -Sephora - Atomic Volume
rated 4 of 5
brandyalexander 10/6/2008 4:20:00 PM

I won't lie...when i first bought this I was really disappointed. I didn't think it did anything spectactular for my lashes, plus it was $16. I didn't use it for awhile, but I picked it up again the other day. It has really grown on me. It doesn't start to chip off near the end of the day so I don't have to worry about raccoon eyes. It can get a little clumpy if I'm not careful, and the brush is prickly so I have to be careful not to let it touch my eyelids. Overall, I like this product and I would buy this again.

Lip Treatments -Smith's Rosebud Salve - Smith's Rosebud Salve
rated 4 of 5
brandyalexander 7/29/2008 4:56:00 PM

I personally like the rosebud salve a lot. I recently bought another tin at Sephora and I'm glad I did. It really doesn't phase me that it contains petrolatum...I think it moisturizes just fine. The tin can be annoying though, one I owned before melted which made it pretty much useless as I couldn't open the tin. I would buy this again. I like the smell and it gives my lips a cute pink shine.

Toners -The Body Shop - Tea Tree freshener
rated 5 of 5
brandyalexander 7/29/2008 4:49:00 PM

Now that it's summer time, my skin gets super oily throughout the day. The tea tree toner really helps keep my skin under control. It's non-drying and doesn't burn my skin like many other toners I've tried. The smell might be a bit of a turn off at first, but now I love it...very refreshing. A little goes a long way, and the price is definately right for my budget. I recommend this to anyone who had combination to oily skin. I will definately buy this product again.

Moisturizers -Clinique - Moisture Surge Extended Thirst Relief
rated 4 of 5
brandyalexander 7/28/2008 2:30:00 PM

I bought the moisture surge this past winter because my skin was unusually dry and itchy in some places. I prefer gel moisturizers because they absorb quickly and don't clog my pores. I was informed that the moisture surge was a new product so I thought I'd give it a try. It sunk into my skin almost immediately and lasted all day. I had no problems with it clogging my pores. My skin was looking and feeling better in a matter of days. The quantity was more than enough. Thank god for the 24 month shelf life, otherwise half of it would have gone to waste. The packaginf could have been better, though. I'd prefer it to be in a tube, but other than that I think it's a good product.
