I have been using this for a few weeks before EVERY shampoo. I leave it in for up to an hour, but oil can only do so much for your hair, so I don't believe that leaving it in longer will do much good. The first time I used it I washed my hair five times and still didn't get it all out. All the shampoo made my hair frizzy.
Now I wash my hair once or twice. I still use conditioner afterward. This works pretty well for detangling my hair and adding shine. I love the way it smells too!
Conditioner -Suave - Professionals Sleek Conditioner

Wow. I love Suave's Sleek Look pair. I've eyed this at the store dozens of times but never had the courage to buy it. At less than $2, you have little to lose. The conditioner really smooths down my hair without weighing it down. It is soft and clean and smells good. I wasn't able to find the cream that matches the shampoo and conditioner, so after I'm out of the shower, I rub a pea sized amount of conditioner into my hair. After dry, my hair has a glassy shine that I see on brunettes but was unable to achieve as a blonde. The best part is seeing my layers in a new light. The ends of my hair don't look dry anymore and the layers really stand out. It looks professionally styled. Amazing. Update: After a few disappointing hair days, I believe that the secret to this stuff is using cold water to rinse your hair. The first time I used this, our hot water was completely out, so I had an icy shower, and coincidentally my hair was awesome.
Wow. I may be in love with Suave's Sleek Look shampoo and conditioner combo. The shampoo cleans your hair really well, unlike most smoothing shampoos. It smells great too (there are so many bad reviews pertaining to the scent of this line. I think it smells like average shampoo.). So this manages to smooth your hair, clean it, and not sacrifice any volume. In fact, I feel like it added volume to my hair. The bottle cost less than $2 at Target and they sell a jumbo size bottle too. Update: After a few disappointing hair days, I believe that the secret to this stuff is using cold water to rinse your hair. The first time I used this, our hot water was completely out, so I had an icy shower, and coincidentally my hair was awesome.
Shampoo -Clairol - Herbal Essences Long Term Relationship

This shampoo cleans my hair while leaving it soft. I don't even always need conditioner afterward. It smells great too. I think the new Herbal Essences have really cute packing and themes.
Conditioner -Clairol - Herbal Essences Long Term Relationship

This conditioner, as with all Herbal Essences I've ever tried, smells great and leaves my hair easy to comb through. The packaging is super cute too. It's a nice conditioner, but there's not a whole lot to say about it.
Conditioner -Paul Mitchell - Super Skinny Daily Treatment Conditioner
bluestar21 10/12/2008 5:04:00 PM
Worst conditioner I've ever used. I used it twice, thinking maybe I just didn't rinse it well enough. It looked so greasy, it was as if I hadn't shampooed in a week. And it felt waxy. I had to take another shower to wash it all out. Not only did it feel bad, but it looked bad too. If you used a little imagination, you could envision how this could be smooth, like gluing your hair to your head. Poor product overall.
The reviews for this product are pretty accurate. It adds color and texture, but not too much. I use this in the brown color. Occasionally Avon has a sale and you can get this for really cheap, which is why I bought it. I think for what you pay, it's a good mascara, but nothing phenomenal.
Treatments -Neutrogena - On the Spot Acne Treatment Vanishing Formula

I love Neutrogena skin products. This is a 2.5% benzoyl peroxide cream that you can rub into your skin without irritation. The key to using this product is to rub some onto your skin every day or every few days, even when you don't have blemishes. It should keep new ones from forming. Once you have a blemish you have to wait it out. A tube of this should last a long time, so it's a good value too.
Liquid -Revlon - Beyond Natural Skin Matching Makeup SPF 15
bluestar21 9/15/2008 10:27:00 PM
I like this product. At first, it looks like you put nothing on your face. But then it adjusts and looks quite nice. I think it's just so sheer that it looks like it matches your skin. My skin has been decent recently, so I don't mind the light coverage. At first I thought the finish was matte, but because I have a very oily t-zone, I end up shiny. I don't believe this is the makeup's fault. This would be good for women who have nice skin, but want a more polished and fresh look. It also has sunscreen, so that's my motivation to put in on every day.
Hair Removal -Unlisted Brand - Veet's Bladeless Razor hair removal kit

meh. I have had varied experiences all from the same bottle. Price: reasonable. Time: reasonable. Hair removability: varies. I found that it sort of 'weakens' the hair follicle, and with the 'blade' you sort of break the hairs. It does NOT and does not claim to "dissolve hair down to the root" (like Nair is supposed to do??). It leaves a film on your skin, which accounts for the 'smoothness' you feel. You can get results similar to shaving. I have sensitive legs that also get a rash from shaving, which I also experiences with this. Once I had intense itching and burning. Overall: I probably won't waste my time with this again.
I adore the slim design and wash of color this gives me. It feels very smooth and tingly. There is a noticeable shimmer to it. I think it gives a pretty look without too much effort.
This product is way too wet to work. Blinking causes it to get all over your face. Even after a few weeks to let it 'dry out', it's still too wet. It's incredibly frustrating and wasn't worth it.
My hair tends to look yellow. I hate that, so I bought this shampoo. It makes my hair shiny and noticeably less yellow. The blonde color is more neutral. I find that it doesn't get rid of 'reddish' tones though, which is fine by me. I plan to try it with the conditioner next. NOTE: This shampoo doesn't do much for actually cleaning your hair. Either wash with it twice or use another shampoo before you put this in. This is more of a treatment than a shampoo.
My hair is a dark-medium blonde naturally. After years of coloring it with permanent dyes, I wanted to go back to a more natural color. While I was growing my hair out, I used this product. It isn't supposed to lighten your hair, but the medium neutral shade of blonde does- just a little bit. I'm not sure how it works, but my hair looks very blonde in some lights and dark in others. I find it to be very natural and pretty. I've also mixed the neutral blonde with other colors- including the dark blonde and strawberry blonde. I've only seen it sold at one store, as it doesn't appear to be too popular. If it were to be discontinued, I'd be crushed. There aren't enough semi-permanent dyes out there.
The key word is simple. Simple shine and moisturizer. It makes my lips very soft and smooth. The vanilla scent is okay; it doesn't taste like anything though (...not that I make it a habit to taste my lip glosses). The staying-power is pretty good too. I usually put some on when my lips are feeling dry, and it looks nice over a little lip liner. The price is very cheap and it reminded me of being a little girl again.
