Lip Gloss -Bonne Bell - Lip Lites- Cappuccino
blacksheep6293 6/23/2011 9:49:00 AM
Lets start off by saying i remember these from primary school. If i was good and did all my homework occasionally my mum would buy me a little encouragement present. I went through a stage where i wanted to try lip gloss, and ended up getting the Mocha flavoured lip lite. I remember that smelling like a very sweet chocolatey-coffee scent which is what mocha IS. The tube was a bit shorter and fatter and the writing was a bit different. I remember picking up the cappuccino flavour and thinging it was just too strong coffee-wise. Having read positive reviews on mua, i decided to pick this up as i wanted a sheer nude, pleasatnly sweet smelling cheap gloss. This fits the bill right here, although it doesn't smell like coffeee anymore...more like vanilla cake mix or icing, but thats definately not a bad thing. Seeing at its winter in australia i am currently experimenting with deeper shades. I havent used much of this yet but occasionally wear it on fuss free days. i am pale, think nc20 with yellow tones, and this doesnt wash me out as it is nice and sheer. A very cool based beige. Even a taupe colour. But seeing as it is sheer it has a bigger range of use imo.i am currently wearing this at night as a lip treatment because i find the moisturising properties of this gloss to be amazing, even in the middle of winter it makes my lips appear as smooth as baby's skin. Would repurchase when i run out for sure.

Lip Treatments -Maybelline - Baby Lips lip balm
blacksheep6293 6/22/2011 12:13:00 PM
i originally bought this when it first came out in smoothing cherry on a day where my lips were particularly chapped. i slapped it on during the day and waited for a miracle to happen. As per usual after about an hour i wiped my lips wiith a tissue and my lips were maybe slightly smoother but just as dry as they were. i am also sensitive to taste in products and could taste the spf in the balm. Hmmm. this was then tossed aside. A few weeks ago i won the berry flavour in a maybelline comp and used it before bed. Surprisingly i woke up with lovely smooth, 'baby' lips! I will now be using this hidden gem at nite, so i still reap the benefits and dont wipe it off as well as not tasting the spf

Lotions/ Creams -Soap and Glory - Hand Food
blacksheep6293 5/21/2011 1:54:00 AM
This is a great hand cream, I usually always have dry hands and cuticles and this works wonders in getting them baby smooth. I like that most of the ingredients are natural and have moisturising properties. Not a fan of the smell but it's not bad either, will definately repurchase when I run out, one for my room and one for work.

Lip Treatments -Korres - Lip Butter - Pomegranate
blacksheep6293 5/20/2011 12:04:00 AM
This is a really nice product. I originally wanted the Jasmine shade but no where in Australia stocks it, so I went with pomegranate. I do find this to be very moisturising despite all the other lip butters I have ever tried which felt very average and did not do much. I really do love this shade, it gives me a lovely strawberry peach coloured flush to the lips and is shiny without looking like a gloss. Very professional looking. Tends to slough away any dead skin so I apply some of this, leave for 30 mins or so and wipe off then reapply for healthy lush looking lips. Will buy again if I ever run out.

Eyeliner -Stila - Stay All Day Waterproof Liquid Eyeliner
blacksheep6293 5/16/2011 6:30:00 AM
This is simply my HG eyeliner. Jet black, opaque, dries fast and stays on all day as promised. The only set back is the price, something like $45AUD, which is ridiculous. With every day wear it takes a few months to run out of this. It is still amazing stuff though. EDIT: unfortunately i have found that throughout the day this wears away from the lashline, leaving a gap of skin between the liner and the lashes which is quite annoying. This does not happen to me with gel liners such as inglot amc gel liner. Hence the negative lippie. I am also saying no to repurchase as i cannot justify that much money for a liner that claims to 'stay all day' and cannot stay on the lashline

Lip Gloss -Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics - Lip Tar - Cha Cha
blacksheep6293 5/13/2011 2:45:00 AM
I am rating this on the staying power and rage of colours. I just got 2 of these today in the mail and chose Hush and Cha Cha based on photos and swatches. ChaCha however does not turn out to be the nce light nude peach I'd hoped for...maybe n photos but on my pale skin and green eyes it just looks totally out of place, or maybe I am using too much? Maybe it needs a gloss or something but it just pulls too much of a milky vibrant orange on me. This would look lovely on tanned girls. I love the staying power, once it's on you can't feel that you are wearing anything which is great. Can wear ths for hours and not have to touch up at all :)

Scrubs -Clinique - 7 Day Scrub Cream Rinse Off Formula
blacksheep6293 5/9/2011 6:10:00 AM
so far I'm liking this. a nice happy amount of exfoliating grittiness combined with a creme to make it glide. it takes off all my rough patches and leaves my skin glowing and I can just wash it off in the shower. however, I don't think girls of any skin type should be exfoliating every day. it's not good for one's skin. I use this every other day. a nice, simple fragrance free non-irritating exfoliant.

Lip Gloss -Bonne Bell - Honey Kiss
blacksheep6293 3/29/2011 7:40:00 AM
Ahh Honey Kiss I remember you back in my late primary school days. My mum said she would get me a present if I did well in my swimming lessons and this is what I picked out (the sheer opalescent colour). I loved the sweet scent at the time and the cute packaging (it was featured in Dolly magazine haha!). Was wandering around my local Priceline and found this in the bargain bin...looks like Bonne Bell are discontinuing all this old stuff? Anyway, being nostalgic as I am I had to pick up a few of these which were a steal at about $1.50 each. There was everything I loved about them and more... The smell is scrumptious like overexaggerated honey and some sort of creamy vanilla sugary note. It is also moisturising as promised, imparts a nice shine and actually lasts. This is not as sticky as a MAC lipglass but still rather sticky so you might want to just check it out first. However it is a steal so it wouldn't really matter regarding price. It's sad to see these being discontinued.

Lips -NARS - Velvet Matte Lip Pencil in Dragon Girl
blacksheep6293 3/22/2011 12:59:00 AM
Holy wow. I cannot begin to sing my praises about this product enough. This is a true blue based cherry red with a pink tone that, while is very bright, is amazingly pretty and brings out your facial features. I am no stranger to bright coloured lips but I was rather surprised at how vibrant this colour was. The great thing I have to note about this pencil which is its selling point is the lasting power. Where to start? I was wearing this at 10am this morning. It is now 4pm in the afternoon and it has not moved. Not even faded! It does not bleed and is a lovely velvety matte. I did not even wear a lipliner with this baby and it hasn't feathered It does not feel like you are wearing anything and the best part is that it does not dry out my lips, even being a matte. The chubby pencil might not be everyone's idea of practical but with the right sharpener and making sure the cap is on tight, you have one very wearable and easy to apply red lipstick. How amazing. I really did not expect this much from a matte pencil but will definately be repurchasing and recommending. It is however very expensive for 2.4g of product- a whopping AUD$50!!!! However, due to how little you have to apply and how long this lasts I think it is a good investment and will continue to purchase over and over. I can now wear a red lip without having to worry about constant maintenance, yay!!! Absolute love <3 EDIT: the 'lead' of this lipstick pencil somehow broke at the base of the pencil and slid right out the top! This caught me by surprise. Cmon nars, if you're gonna charge me that much for a pencil at least make it sturdy! One lippy off for this, as i can still use it as long as i don't turn it upside down

Lipstick -MAC - Of Royalty
blacksheep6293 3/21/2011 7:44:00 AM
I'm not sure what went wrong with this particular cremesheen formula for this collection but boy does it make my lips look terrible. This is a very pastel bright yellow based pink that does a) not flatter teeth b) is quite chalky for a cremesheen and accentuates all my lip flaws and c) photographs terribly. Imagine Viva Glam Gaga on your lips, dust your lips with chalk, then coat again. It really does nothing. Maybe this was a bad batch? I'm glad this was limited edition but sad that I actually bought it online without swatching :(

Lipstick -MAC - Snob lipstick
blacksheep6293 3/21/2011 7:39:00 AM
I wanted to like this but it pulled very very pastel on me, much more than I would have liked anyway. I can only really wear this on nights out seeing as it washes me out unless I have a dramatic eye going on. As usual the satin formula stays put and doesn't dry out the lips. Satin is my favourite MAC lipstick formula. I won't give this lipstick any less lippies because the colour doesn't work out for me as many other people rock this and look fantastic. The formula is still great and I'm sure I'll get some use out of it by topping with a gloss.

Lipstick -MAC - Lustering
blacksheep6293 3/21/2011 7:36:00 AM
I love the lustre formula even though it does not last a long time. This shade definately pulls a pinkish red on me rather than he hot pink other reviewers have been saying. I had been going through my stash to find a berry red seeing as I am going into autumn here and this looks like it's it! Lovely colour and can be appropriate for work even, which is what I will use it for :) Moisturising, a nice glossy finish and no shimmer, lovely.

Lipstick -MAC - Cremesheen - Creme d'Nude
blacksheep6293 3/21/2011 7:29:00 AM
This creme nude with pink undertones is a staple nude in my lipstick collection. No shimmer or glitter, and glides on my lips like butter. Imparts some moisture and a subtle sheen, without being too opaque that you look breathless. As all MAC lipsticks has a nice vanilla scent, although i have found that the cremesheen lipsticks tend to have a more plastic note to them? I would buy this again, it is not chalky like Myth.

Lipstick -MAC - Hue
blacksheep6293 3/21/2011 7:24:00 AM
One of my go-to nudeish pink lipsticks. I had been hunting this down and was only able to find it in the Myer city centre in Melbourne. It is a glaze formula which is not as moisturising as say, a lustre, but it gives a nice glossy finish. The colour is a nudey petal-pink with slight micro shimmer (not glitter) which is not noticeable and if anything gives the lips slightly more dimension and would suit most skin tones as it is sheer. The wear is poor however and I find this does not last more than 30 mins- an hour on my lips. It does not dry my lips out though. I would buy again.

Lipstick -MAC - Satin - Pink Nouveau
blacksheep6293 2/15/2011 2:38:00 AM
I am in love. This is now pretty much my staple lipstick. Perfect Barbie pink (creme bubblegum) without being over the top. I love the satin formula, lasts through a light meal and coffee. Not a problem if you've already eaten and are just drinking water. Is not drying nor moisturising. A good idea to wear a balm underneath. I am blonde with green eyes and this just makes my face light up. I cannot sing my praises enough about this, I brought a backup and would have no idea what I would do if MAC discontinued this. I will continue to buy forever. Absolute favourite lipstick I have ever used.
