This is such a beautiful shadow! It's a gorgeous taupey bronze w/ shimmer. The size will last forever. I don't usually use loose e/s due to the large amount of fallout, but this is an exception just because it is so pretty. Unfortunately I find that Everyday Mineral e/s tend to fade quickly, so be sure to use a good base.
Lipstick -Neutrogena - MoistureShine Soothing LipSheers in Ruby Bliss

This is a great product! It moisturizes my lips nicely and it's such a beautiful color. I have tried red lipsticks before, but they always seem to be too bright or too dark for my skintone. This shade is just the right shade of red and perfect for fall. It is neutral enough to still work with a smoky eye and not compete with it. This actually lasts a few hours on my lips too-which is great! I will definitely try this product in some other colors as I am very impressed with this!
Eyeliner -Jordana - EASYLINER For Eyes (retractable pencil) SeaGreen

This is such a beautiful color! It really makes my hazel eyes pop. Looks great paired with a taupe shadow on the lid. The price cannot be beat and I think it is just as great as high end brands. It glides on smoothly with no tugging and it is very pigmented. It stays on well on all day too. This is my first Jordana eyeliner and I will definitely get a black and brown one next time. Love it!
I was SOO disappointed in this product! I have not been impressed with the Benefit boxed powders. First of all, while the packaging is pretty, I would prefer it in a compact. The brush that comes with it is useless. The powder is heavily fragranced, which I do not like. I could look past all of that if I actually thought this was a decent blush...but I don't. The pigmentation is slim and I feel like this is a VERY dupable product. It does not look like anything special on my cheeks and there are plenty of similar colors out there (even at the drugstore) that deliver more results. I have to pile it on just to see it-and I'm a fair gal. Lastly, the price is just outrageous! It's freaking packaged in cardboard! How much can it cost to make this product?? I felt pretty much ripped off by this product. I won't purchase another Benefit product, as I feel like they are all hype...and I've learned that packaging is not everything...
I LOVE this! It was my 1st MSF and it certainly lived up the the hype of MSFs in my opinion. I had been hesitant to try MSFs b/c I'm more of a matte girl in terms of blush. Usually shimmery products make me look shiny and oily...not this! This literally gives me a lit from within glow that is gorgeous! I usually apply this as a highlight over a pink or peach blush, but it also makes a lovely blush. I can't describe it, but it just glows. It's not glittery or overly shimmery, just glowing. I feel like the gold in this really warms up my face and makes me look so healthy. I'm pretty pale and don't tan easily, so I use a little of this to highlight and some bronzer and this makes a great summer look :)
I had wanted to try this forever, but when I finally RIS, I was not impressed. This color does nothing for my skintone (pale with some rosacea). I felt like it looked really ruddy on my face. Although the packaging is cute, I don't like how bulky it is. I don't use the brush that was included, so it was pretty much useless to me. I think these benefit box blushes are ridiculously overpriced. I have used drugstore blushes that were just as nice or nicer than this. I probably would have never tried this color blush if it weren't for the rave reviews and cute packaging b/c it didn't think it would be a good color for me...and I was right-unfortunately this just does not work for me :(
Primer/ Corrector -Clinique - Redness Solutions Daily Protective Base

I had high hopes, but I was disappointed in this product! :( I have rosacea and usually pile on concealer, which helps some, but I was looking for something to tone down the redness. Unfortunately, I don't think this does anything for my redness. Once I blend it in, my face looks exactly the same as it did before I applied it. As far as being a primer, it's nothing special. It's ok for liquid foundation, but when I try to apply mineral foundation, it gets kinda cakey and uneven looking. I do notice that I get oily quickly when wearing this under foundation. I also think it is kinda pricey and there are cheaper options out there. The only good thing I have to say is that it does *somewhat* make the pores on my nose look slightly smaller.
These strips definitely do what they advertise. The first time I used it, I was shocked (and somewhat disgusted) to see everything on the strip that it had extracted. You could say it is definitely effective! lol I now use them regularly. For me, they are a little painful to peel off my nose and I have to pump myself up beforehand (you can do it! lol). It's worth it to see the results though. I tend to always have some leftover sticky residue around the bottom sides of my nose and I just rinse my face off and it usually comes right off. It is a little pricey, I think, for the amount of product you get, but I'm still willing to pay it because it truly does remove my blackheads.
I really enjoy this scrub! It is NOT something I use everyday, because that would be too harsh, but once or twice a week is ok. It does a great job of exfoliating my skin and makes it feel really smooth and clean. I always moisturize after I wash my face and I have not had any problems with it. It does not irritate me sensitive skin, which is a plus. Also, this is really affordable! :)
Moisturizers -Clinique - Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion
bhindhazeleyez 7/21/2010 11:03:00 PM
I DESPISE this moisturizer! It does NOTHING for my skin. I tried to like it when I used to use mostly Clinique products in high school and I always had the small size moisturizer that came in the gwp kits. Unfortunately, I don't feel that this moisturizes my skin at all. I used to have somewhat dry, flaky skin on my cheeks, and this did not help with the dry spots at all. I would have to constantly apply it, but I never felt like it really helped do anything for my skin. It's too thin in consistency and feels like it kind of sits on top of the skin at first and then all of the sudden it's gone-like it evaporated and never penetrated. I want my moisturizer to actually absorb into my skin and makes it softer, and this one does not. I won't repurchase.
This is a really great mascara. It really does keep lashes soft, unlike so many other mascaras that make lashes feel crunchy and heavy. It does a great job of volumizing lashes and making them look fuller, thus living up to its name. This is also a very affordable mascara. I don't understand why so many people buy really expensive mascaras when there are some great drugstore ones like Full and Soft to choose from that give the same effect at a much lower price.
Eye Primer -Too Faced - Shadow Insurance, Anti-Crease Eye Shadow Primer
bhindhazeleyez 7/21/2010 10:42:00 PM
This stuff is AWESOME! I can't believe it took me so long to try it! I'm usually a cheapskate and I just could not justify spending that much on an eyeshadow primer...so I first bought a drugstore primer instead. It was just ok, and I still had creasing after 4 hrs or so. Finally, I decided to bite the bullet and just buy this one and I can now say IT IS TOTALLY WORTH THE PRICE!!! I wear some sort of eyeshadow everyday, and I hate seeing it crease. I do have oily lids and when I first put this on, it felt a little oily. I thought for sure it would crease in a few hours. Boy was I wrong! This stuff literally made my eyeshadow last 14 hours! I put my makeup on at 7 am, and when I removed it at 9 pm it still looked fresh and had no creasing! I love that this is a squeeze tube, which is more sanitary than the UDPP. Also, a little goes a LONG way with this product and one tube will last you forever. I've had mine now for at least 6 months (using it almost everyday) and I still have approx 1/3 of the tube left. If you haven't tried this yet-go buy it-you won't regret it!
I really like this palette! I love neutrals on the eyes and this has a great array of colors to create multiple looks. The look cards are nice, but I love to play around and create my own look. My favorite at the moment is using Heaven all over from lid to browbone, then Silk Teddy on the lid, with Push-up in the crease and Sexpresso in the outer corner. The only shade that I don't get much usage out of is the Nude Beach color. It is just too glittery IMO and no matter how carefully I pat it on the eye, I still get a lot of fall out, and I just hate that! I also find it gritty and it is more glitter than pigment-I wish it came off with more color. The packaging is too bulky and I hate the applicator. Most drugstore eye kits include nicer sponge tip applicators than the one included in this kit. I prefer to use my own brushes with this. Overall though, I like the mix of matte and shimmer shades and I would purchase again.
Blush -New York Color - Blushable Creme Stick in 644U Plaza Pink
bhindhazeleyez 7/18/2010 5:13:00 PM
Wow! I am slowly finding more and more nyc products that I enjoy! This blush is great! I love creme blushes for summer, and this one is great for everyday use. It is a nice peachy pink shade with a slight shimmer. I usually don't like shimmery blushes, but this is subtle enough for work and a great natural blush color. You get a lot of product for the money, and I think the stick form is genius! I just dab some on the apples of my cheek and blend out. It is also very easy to blend this product. I have two of these blush sticks so far and will probably be buying more soon :)
LOVE the product, HATE the packaging!!! First off, this powder is great! I got it in translucent, and it really does a great job setting my makeup. It is very finely milled and I like that it is not shimmery at all, unlike mineral veil. It does a great job of controlling oil, and I have never had it oxidize on me. You get a large amount of product for an amazingly low price. Now for the packaging...I hate that the lid does not screw on, therefore making it a definite no-no for traveling. I have to be very careful when removing the lid or I get a big white cloud of powder everywhere. The puff is useless and just awful! The sifter allows entirely too much product through-the holes are enormous! I did what someone else suggested, and covered the holes with wide packaging tape before the first use, only leaving 3 holes exposed. That provides more than enough product to get through. Overall, I still love this product enough to look past the packaging. I will continue to buy it because it's great and the price is right. Hopefully one day they will make it with a screw on lid and a sifter that can be closed off...
