I have to work to keep my straight hair sleek and glossy and to tame flyaways, so I thought this line would be great for me. I have bra-strap-length, fine hair, but lots of it. Like the shampoo, the conditioner smells fantastic, really fruity and fresh, but it's a mature scent. I wouldn't feel embarassed going to work smelling like this! I think it's good for summer, when you don't need as much conditioning, but it does have a lot of silicones and does build up over time. I have to leave it in for about 5 minutes to get any effect. The conditioner is much better than the shampoo in this line, but it's not really HG material. The ingrediants are: Water, Quaternium-91, Cetrimonium Methosulfate, Cetearyl Alcohol, Cetyl Alcohol, Amodimethicone, Trideceth-12, Cetrimonium Chloride, Trimethylsiloxyamodimethicone, C11-15 Pareth-7, C12-16 Pareth-9, Glycerin, Polyquaternium-37, Propylene Glycole Dicaprylate/Dicaprate, PPG-1 Trideceth-6, Ceteareth-20, Cetyl Esters, Hydrolyzed Wheat Protein PG-Propyl Silanetriol, Triethyl Citrate, Bisamino PEG/PPG-41/3 Aminoethyl PG-Propyl Dimethicone/Algae/Aloe Barbadensis Leaf/Anthemis Nobilis/Lawsonia Inernis (Henna)/Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba)/Rosmarinus Officinalis (Rosemary)/PEG-12 Dimethicone, Guar Hydroxypropylthrimonium Chloride, Fragrance, Citric Acid, Tetrasodium EDTA, DMDM Hydantoin, Iodopropynyl Butylcarbanate.

Shampoo -Paul Mitchell - Super Skinny Daily Shampoo

This stuff might not be bad if you have oily hair with a lot of natural volume. I don't, but I have to work to keep my hair sleek and glossy and tame flyaways. I have bra-strap-length, fine hair, but lots of it. It smells fantastic, but it just weighed my hair down and made it dry and static-y at the same time. The ingrediants are: Water, Sodium Myreth Sulfate, Cocamide MEA, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Sodium Lauroyl Sarconsinate, Isoceteth-20, Cocamidopropyl Hydroxysultaine, PEG-150, Distearate, PEG-3 Dioleoylamidoethylmonium Methosulfate, Trimethysiloxyamodimethicone, C11-15 Pareth-7, C12-16 Pareth-9, Glycerin, Trideceth-12, Polyquarternium-10, Triethyl Citrate, Bisamino PEG/PPG-41/3 Aminoethyl PG-Propyl Dimethicone/Algae/Aloe Barbadensis Leaf/Anthemis Nobilis/Lawsonia Inernis (Henna)/Simmondsia Chinesis (Jojoba)/Rosmarinus Officinalis (Rosemary)/PEG-12 Dimethicone, Fragrance, Citric Acid, Sodium Chloride, Tetrasodium EDTA, DMDM Hydantoin, Iodopropynyl Butylcarbonate. Whew!

Styling Products -L'Oreal - Smooth Intense Anti-Frizz Serum
rated 5 of 5

Another rave for this product. I have tried so many things, with -cones and without, and this is really the best for my straight, fine (but lots of it), bra-strap-long hair. Even ignoring the price tags, it's a better product than the Kerastase Oleo-Relax serum, which I find oily and which builds up over time. It basically does what you want from a shine serum: it leaves your hair glossy, detangled, tames flyaways and frizzies, doesn't weigh it down, and as long as you only use 1 or 2 pumps, it is not greasy at all. Most of all, your hair stays that way all day! (I have had problems with shine serums that work right away, and later on my hair is tangled and matt.) The smell is fine and I can't smell it later anyways. Also, for you ladies who are obsessed with -cones like me, there is very little build up and this does not lead to dryness over time. The ingrediants are: Cyclopentasiloxane, Dimethiconol, Camelina Sativa, BHT, Perfume.

Hair -Sebastian - Laminates shampoo and conditioner

I used to use this shampoo and conditioner for years and loved them. It was just the right amount of moisturizing without weighing my hair down. That's when I lived on the coast, with excellent water. I now live inland where the water is a lot harder, and the conditioner left my long, straight hair terribly tangly and "fuzzy". So beware if you are living in an area with hard water! You might need more moisture there.
