Liquid -Clinique - Clarifying Makeup Clear Skin Formula [DISCONTINUED]

Nope, didn't like this. At first I thought I just needed to moisturize more because it looked kind of flaky, then I realized that this foundation is just really cakey. It's hard to get it blended in before it dries, even when applying to only one area at a time like the SA suggested. And after it dries, you CANNOT blend it. It just smears around, clumping together in one spot and completely coming off in others. I got more oily than I do with a lot of other foundations, too. My friend actually just tried this too and had the same experience as me. If you can get a sample, go ahead and try it, but make sure you apply it in very good lighting so you won't need to blend it later!

Liquid -Lancome - Teint Idole ULTRA [DISCONTINUED]

This is the ONLY foundation that will last on me. I've tried so many liquid and mineral foundations, and this is definitely my favorite. It says it's medium to full coverage when applied with a flat foundation brush (I use the prescriptives one), but applied with fingers it is lightish medium coverage for me. I have kind of a light hand and really blend it out, though. It's a soft matte finish, which doesn't look flat. It goes on smoothly and never looks cakey. It doesn't look thick or feel heavy. It LASTS. It doesn't break me out! They make a color light enough for me (come on, Clinique!). Sure, it would be nice if it were cheaper... but I've tried some that were more expensive (MUFE, Dior) and this beats those by a long shot! Plus when you check around, you can usually find a pretty good GWP! :)

Mascara -L'Oreal - Voluminous Naturale
rated 5 of 5

Wow, I'm surprised at the low rating on this! I bought this before reading reviews because it was bogo. I used it last night and really loved it. I added a picture to the review. It didn't clump, gave me length and some volume. The regular voluminous gets too clumpy and goopy, and the full definition flaked really terribly for some reason. This didn't flake or disappear. It came off easily when I washed my face. It does have a rubber brush, but it's different than the telescopic one, and not huge like lash blast. It gets down to the roots of my lashes. So yeah, I like it!

I love this! If you have trouble finding a gold that doesn't look too yellow/orange/gaudy/plain ugly... try this!

Eyeliner -Fyrinnae - Inks Liquid Eyeliner in Flamboyant Forest
rated 5 of 5
bebo1984 6/30/2009 2:38:00 PM

Lovely color! It is what I'd consider forest green, a deep blue based green. I think it looks ok on my eyes, which are more of a yellowy green and brown. But it would look amazing on brown, blue, or more forest green/hazel eyes. I added a pic with it on my waterline. With all of these ink liners, it helps me to *very* slightly pull the lower lid away for a few seconds so it can dry a bit before swiping or dabbing it on while holding the brush horizontally.

Eyeliner -Fyrinnae - Colour Changing Inks in Lovers Quarrel
rated 5 of 5

Lovely color that I think would be flattering on pretty much any eye color. I can't tell if it's changing colors because I can't see it from different angles, but it looks like a browned purple on me. I added a pic where I have this ink on the waterline.

This is a vibrant purple on me. I can't tell if it's changing colors or not since I can't see it from a different angle, but I love the purple! I added a pic where I used this ink on the waterline.

Palettes -Kat Von D - Ludwig Palette
rated 5 of 5
bebo1984 6/30/2009 9:35:00 AM

I love this palette! Beautiful colors that are neutral but not boring. The shimmery shades are pretty, not glittery and gaudy, and the matte shades make it even more versatile. It can be soft and light or smoky. The shadows are very soft and blendable. I do get creasing and moving around without a primer, but everything creases on me, so that's not a big deal. Very glad I finally bought it! I added 2 pics -- 1 using the bronze/brown colors, 1 using the greens and a little brown in the crease. Hope it's helpful :)

I love this palette! I was worried that the colors wouldn't be wearable, but they're actually really pretty on! The shadows are extremely soft and blendable, but the other side of that is they tend to crease and move around. I get some creasing even with UDPP, which is why I took off 1 lippie.

Primer/ Corrector -Fyrinnae - Velvet-Gel Silica Primer
rated 3 of 5
bebo1984 6/17/2009 5:06:00 PM

A bit disappointing... This doesn't make my skin smoother or fill in pores like most primers claim to do. It seems to help a little bit with oil control, but not much really. But... it's only $5.50 for the full size, it did not break me out (which all silicone based primers do), and it works for a lot of people. So it's definitely worth a try.

Mascara -L'Oreal - Lash Architect Mascara [DISCONTINUED]
rated 5 of 5
bebo1984 6/15/2009 2:25:00 PM

This is what I use when I want the false lash effect... it would be too dramatic for everyday for me! I uploaded a picture so you can see what it looks like. In the pic I used 2 coats, and combed through after the 1st coat with a metal lash comb. Also... in the pic I was just messing around at home, so please excuse my brows and other issues, haha... Yes, it can clump if you try to majorly layer it on, but I don't know why you'd want to do that! It's a thick, creamy formula... that's how it gives such a dramatic effect! I haven't tried the wp formula. This doesn't flake or run on me under normal conditions (ie... I haven't gone swimming in it). To remove, I just dampen my lashes and gently rub them between my fingers to remove the most of mascara before actually washing my face.

Powder -Palladio - Wet/Dry foundation
rated 4 of 5
bebo1984 6/15/2009 2:02:00 PM

I was really pleased with this, a real shocker considering how many times I've been disappointed after reading glowing reviews about other products. I bought the lightest shade, which is a good match for me. I tried using this dry with no other foundation, and it gave nice, natural coverage. It didn't look powdery, dry, cakey... just soft and smooth. I've NEVER had a powder look so nice on my skin! Unfortunately, it was completely gone within a couple of hours, otherwise I would give it 5 stars for sure. So now I've been just using a light dusting of this over my liquid foundation for a bit of extra coverage and to take away shine. Also great for spots... I just dampen my finger, dab it in the powder, dab on my spot, and it's magically gone! Seriously, if only the lasting power were better, it would be perfect!!! I do get really oily and not much lasts on me, though...

Eye Shadow -Revlon - Matte Eyeshadow in Vintage Lace
rated 5 of 5

Perfect matte highlight color! I use this eyeshadow almost every single day. I'm really fair, so this is a great brow bone or inner corner highlight color. I also use it to help blend out the edges of stubborn and/or dark eyeshadows.
