I don't really have problematic hair. It's a little dry, no split ends, not too frizzy, down to my waist, thick. I like products that nourish my hair, make it smooth, soft, and shiny, and aren't too expensive. I read so many great reviews, so I thought I'd try it. First off, his smells amazing! I want to eat it. It smells like coconuts and heaven! It's pretty thick. Immediately after putting it in my hair, my hair already felt dramatically softer. When I washed it out, my hair was smooth and soft and shiny and beautiful! My only complaint is that it weighed my thick hair down.. and I've never experienced that before. I didn't put a lot into my roots, I put most of it at the ends, and a little drop onto the scalp. All in all, this is a really great product. SO moisturizing. But since it weighed my hair down, I don't think I'll buy this again.

Styling Products -Garnier - Wonder Waves Wave Enhancing Spray
rated 5 of 5
beautyaddict96 8/7/2012 2:49:00 PM

I have naturally wavy hair, and I was looking for a non drying spray to enhance my waves, and make them sleeker, not beachy or untidy. I found this at walgreens for $5, and it sounded perfect. It claimed to A) control, shape, and enhance natural waves B) provide smooth definition, shine, and frizz control I use this on damp hair. First I use my mousse (Nexxus) and then I use about 5 spritzes of this. I scrunch my hair and let it air dry over night. When I wake up the next morning, I brush out my air and apply a bit more of the spray ands scrunch to reacctivate and reshape the waves and I have perfect, smooth, shiny, frizz free waves! So easy and so pretty! Now I keep this in my locker to use after my dance class. Again, I brush out my hair and scrunch in a bit more of this and I can continue with my day without looking like I've been working out the last 40 minutes. :) This smells so good and fruity and it's so cheap. And it's very moisturizing. This is perfect and it lasts forever! Everyone should own this. And yes, I will definitely buy this again. :)

Styling Products -Aveeno - Active Naturals Nourish + Style Smoothing Shine Creme
rated 2 of 5
beautyaddict96 8/7/2012 2:23:00 PM

This product did not do as it said it would. I was looking for a nourishing cream that would smooth my hair and make it shinier, and obviously I went to this because it's called nourish+style smoothing shine creme... I guess it's nice because because I usually use a mousse in my hair, and with this I didn't need a mousse. You also don't need a lot. But my hair was frizzy and dry and it wasn't shiny. Pretty terrible. What angers me is that it advertised to do a certain thing, and it did not do as it promised. I ended up wasting my money. At least it wasn't expensive.

Treatments -John Frieda - Go Blonder Lightening Spray
rated 4 of 5
beautyaddict96 8/7/2012 12:52:00 PM

Whoa. Let me just say that my hair has not fallen out/been irreparably damaged/taken on a gum like texture etc. I bought this because I have dirty blonde hair and I want much lighter blonde hair (to go with my extremely pale skin) but my mom won't let me dye my hair. I found this and since I was already flat ironing my hair every day (at the time) I thought I would just add this to my styling products to get lighter hair. I used this along with a heat protectant and an anti frizz cream, let my hair dry, sprayed a bit more of this on, and then I would straighten my hair. I sprayed it all throughout my hair (even though the bottle advises not to) and I did not experience any strange side effects. Within a week I noticed some subtle lightening, and within 3 weeks, my hair was much lighter. I never achieved the extremely light blonde hair I desired, but I came pretty close. I finished a whole bottle, but I'm a little scared to buy another after reading the other reviews. It has worked well for the past few months, but I don't want my hair falling out! All in all, it was a great product, but I'm going to stop using it because I'm scared that my hair might become damaged. Hair health > hair color.

Treatments -Paul Mitchell - Instant Moisture Daily Treatment
rated 1 of 5
beautyaddict96 8/7/2012 12:04:00 PM

My hair really isn't that problematic. It isn't very dry, it's usually soft and shiny. I just have some slight issues with frizz and knots. I thought this would help, and it wasn't too expensive, so I gave it a try. Ingredients: water (aqua), cetyl alcohol, behentrimonium methosulfate, isododecane, isohexadecane, cetearyl alcohol, stearyl alcohol, hydrolyzed soy protein, stearalkonium chloride, ceteareth-20, panthenol, glycerin, butyrospermum parkii (shea butter) fruit, tocopheryl acetate, dimethicone bisamino hydroxypropyl copolyol/hedychium coronarium/dimethicone copolyol, dimethicone bisamino hydroxypropyl copolyol/algae/aloe barbadensis leaf/anthemis nobilis/henna/simmondsia chinensis (jojoba)/rosmarinusofficinalis (rosemary)/dimethicone copolyol, guar hydroxypropyltrimonium chloride, fragrance (parfum), dmdm hydantoin, iodopropynyl butylcarbamate Why is there so much alcohol in this? It's supposed to add moisture, but all the main ingredients are alcohol and water! Why did I pay $15 for alcohol and water? My hair was tangled and so dry. It's very frizzy and it isn't soft or shiny. Now I have to find a conditioner/mask to infuse all the moisture I lost back into my hair. It weighed down my hair when I used too much. It didn't condition when I used a little drop (like the bottle recommended). I will not buy this again.

Shampoo -Paul Mitchell - Cleanse- Tea Tree Special Shampoo
rated 2 of 5
beautyaddict96 8/7/2012 11:57:00 AM

I don't really have any specific hair problems. I was just looking for a new shampoo that would keep my hair soft and cleanse (like a shampoo is supposed to do). This smells really nice. It's a light green thick gel that tingles when you apply it. Unfortunately, this did not work for me AT ALL. It dried my hair out so much. It did not make my hair soft, shiny, less frizzy, etc. To remove all the oil from my hair, I had to wash with this twice, and I've never had to do that with any other shampoos before! Created problems in my hair. So angry, especially since it's not cheap. I'll go back to pantene/tresemme/l'oreal and all the CHEAP brands THAT ACTUALLY WORK. Thanks for nothing paul mitchell. How the hell do I fix this tangled mess of hair? I'll never buy this again. :(

Moisturizers -Clinique - Dramatically Different Moisturizing Gel
rated 1 of 5
beautyaddict96 8/7/2012 11:51:00 AM

For reference, I have combination, acne prone skin. Each time I have used this, I used the 3 step system, I had the facial wash in combination oily, the clarifying lotion in 3, and the dramatically different lotion in combination oily. I had first tried this when I was 13, because I was having some trouble with acne. The facial wash was a thick gel with a mild pleasant smell. The clarifying lotion, which has alcohol in it, felt a bit drying, but I stuck with it anyway, and I loved the gel consistency of the moisturizer. My acne had cleared up within 2 months. I stopped using it because the wash and toner were very drying.. The second time I used it, I had terrible acne all over my forehead. I bought the system again because it had worked very well the first time, but I had no luck. I used it for over 3 months, then ran out, and since it clearly wasn't working, I did not buy it again. The last time I tried the 3 step system was only a month ago. I'm actually in Sweden right now, so I don't have access to a dermatologist. My skin broke out EVERYWHERE and I freaked out, and I went to buy this, because I remembered I had some luck with it the first ime around. Again, it did not work. I do not understand why this is so popular!!! Yes it moisturizes..but it doesn't even moisturize well! My skin isn't even dry and this isn't enough! And all it does is moisturize. No SPF, no antioxidants, does nothing for acne. It's just an overpriced moisturizer. I've found more moisturizing facial lotions at walgreens for significantly less (cerave $11 has ceramides). It's just gel like water. The only reason I bought it 3 times was because it came in the 3 step system. I will not buy this again.

The smell of alcohol in this toner is so overpowering. Alcohol is not good for putting on your skin. You don't want to dry out your pimples, you want to heal them! Pimples are infections! Don't dry them out with this toner! It made my breakouts worse! I won't be buying this again! Such a letdown..not to mention a waste of money. :(

A) I was younger B) my skin wasn't as oily C) my acne wasn't too bad I guess my skin got used to it. It worked so well the first time around, but since it failed to help my skin the second and third time around, I won't be buying this again. It was ultimately a letdown.

Moisturizers -Clinique - Turnaround Overnight Radiance Moisturizer
rated 4 of 5
beautyaddict96 8/7/2012 8:40:00 AM

I have combination, acne prone skin. I wanted a moisturizer that would mositurize my dry cheeks, help keep oil at bay, and keep my breakouts under control. This also promised to brighten and exfoliate my skin, so I was luckily able to obtain a large sample. I have been using this for 3 weeks. I have been using this in conjunction with the serum and my skin looks amazing. There is a definite improvement already. It makes my skin feel like velvet. My skin is so smooth and even. My skin isn't as oily and I haven't been breaking out. My skin glows and my pores look SO MUCH SMALLER. My skin looks so perfect that I don't wear any makeup anymore! I use it a night so that when I wake up, my skin looks fresh and beautiful. I do think this is mostly in part to the serum, so I don't think I'll buy the full size. I also don't like that it comes in a jar. I definitely recommend this line though.

I have combination, acne prone skin, and I was looking for a serum that did more than moisturize. I wanted something that would moisturize my dry cheeks and improve the look of my pores and my breakouts. This also claimed to brighten my skin, so I was able to obtain a rather large sample. I have been using this for 3 weeks and my skin looks amazing. There is a definite improvement already. It makes my skin feel like velvet. My skin is so smooth and even. My skin isn't as oily and I haven't been breaking out. My skin glows and my pores look SO MUCH SMALLER. I don't wear any makeup now, and no one can tell. My skin looks perfect! I use it a night so that when I wake up, my skin looks fresh and beautiful. It lasted me 3 months, which is fine, and it's definitely worth the price. This is an HG serum for me, and I will definitely continue to buy this. :)

Masks -Clinique - Turnaround Instant Facial
rated 5 of 5
beautyaddict96 8/7/2012 8:14:00 AM

I have combination, acne prone skin, and I wanted a mask that would exfoliate, keep oil at bay, and keep breakouts under control. I think I have found it. I like that it physically and chemically exfoliates. It isn't too gritty, which I also like. My skin feels much smoother after I use it. My acne looks much better, and my skin isn't so slick anymore. I've also noticed that my pores look smaller. It can be drying, but I follow up with the turnaround serum and the dramatically different moisturizer, and the dryness is gone. This has literally changed my skin after 5 uses. My skin is so glowy and it rarely breaks out. When it does, it isn't anything huge or painful, and it goes away quickly. I've been wearing less makeup! I'll finish it up and I'll probably rebuy it because it's worked so well so far!

Masks -Murad - Pomegranate Exfoliating Mask
rated 5 of 5
beautyaddict96 8/7/2012 8:04:00 AM

This is perfect for my combination, acne prone skin. It's so hard to find products that not only suit the oily parts of my face and the dry parts of my face, but also keep breakouts under control. I thought this would be gritty and that the pomegranate smell would be overpowering. I was wrong on both accounts. It is a very smooth mask ( so it chemically exfoliates) and the smell is so pleasant and fresh. My skin feels like velvet after using this. My skin glows and it's so soft. It gives me flawless baby like skin. It doesn't make my cheeks drier, and it definitely helps with the oiliness of my face. I have also noticed an improvement in my breakouts. It lasts so long. I use it once a week, and each packet lasts for 3 uses (even when applying a very generous amount). There are 6 packets. So that means that for $23, this lasted me about 4 1/2 months. This is an HG for me. The results are stunning, and it should be worth even more IMO. I will continue to bu this. :)
