I got a sample of this with my recent purchase from fragrancenet. This is very clean soapy musk. Hmm, I think it reminds me of Skin Musk(I think that's the name). On my skin it smells like Ivory soap-by far the most realistic soapy scent I have ever encountered. Smelling like soap is not my thing but if you like these kind of scents, this can't be beat. Lasting power seems pretty good as well

Fragrances -Caron - Aimez Moi
rated 5 of 5

Aimez-Moi came out back in 1996 and it wasn’t a love at first sight, more like a love after a second sniff. I remember sampling it at Nordstrom’s and thinking “wow, this is not good”. Now I know what notes are in this, I realized that it was the initial notes of cardamom, star anise and mint that almost knocked me off my feet and led to my negative reaction. I went home not giving it another thought, not realizing that some of the Aimez-Moi gotten on the sleeve of my winter coat I was wearing. Next morning I was putting on my coat and I realized that something smelled wonderful-warm, rich and slightly green but what was it? I realized that this was the only scent I sampled that day and figured if it smelled this good later, I had to try it again. I did and this time I let it mellow out on my hand and yes, there it was, that wonderful scent. I bought it, used it all up and went through several bottles of it until one sad day I couldn’t find it anymore. Few years later, I managed to find it online and not only it had a different bottle, I heard that it was reformulated. I just bought another bottle online and it seemed like the same scent. I find it hard to describe because it’s a floral and yet, its not like any other floral that I smelled before-its lightly green, warm, rich with a hint of woods and had just enough sweetness to stop it venturing into bitter territory. The best word to describe this scent is “golden”-its rich, elegant, and classy. For me, this is the most elegant scent I have ever smelled. I am not a floral lover, usually preferring sweet candy, fruity and gourmand fragrances but this scent have captured my heart. Notes from Fragrantica-star anise, mint, violet, cardamom, bergamot Iris, jasmine, magnolia, rose, wood, amber, mu

Fragrances -Bijan - B Exquisite
rated 4 of 5
aqua76239 4/23/2012 6:43:00 PM

This was a blind buy and I was pleasantly surprised. Lot of people are comparing it to Flowerbomb. Hmm, I think I have to smell Flowerbomb again because I don't remember it smelling simular to Exquisite. I get mostly vanilla, jasmine, sandalwood and amber, citrusy notes are pretty much nonexistent on my skin. Strangely enough, it also smells like patchouli to me and its not in the notes so go figure. What it did reminded me off is Joop. Anyone remembers Joop? I just smelled it recently and this is much more delicate version of Joop. As for Exquisite-hmm, what I get from this is "drunken" vanilla with some amber. Yes, for some reason I smell nice liquer, LOL. This is a perfect fragrance to wear in cold weather. If you like oriental gourmands, you have to try this.

Fragrances -Liz Claiborne - Mambo
rated 2 of 5
aqua76239 4/16/2012 5:00:00 PM

I picked up a small bottle for seven bucks so I am glad I wasn't out a lot of money. This one is not a winner for me. I was expecting a lot more fruit but all I got is lot of floral, with very prominent orange blossom. And I don't like orange blossom. Hmm, its kind of strange but to me it smells simular to MJ Daisy except Daisy is more grassy and doesn't have fruity dry down like Mambo. I may try to use up my small bottle but this is not my kind of scent. It smelled cheap and dated to me, sorry gals:((

Fragrances -Marc Jacobs - Daisy
rated 1 of 5
aqua76239 4/13/2012 3:38:00 PM

I got a sample of this with my Sephora order. I read the notes and thought I would like it so I sprayed it straight on my hand. Note to self-if you haven’t smelled perfume before, its not a good idea to just spray it on yourself. I was expecting light sort of girly floral. Nope. This reminded me of floral potpourri or floral room spray. I sprayed it on a card to make sure my nose wasn’t playing tricks-still the same dried flower smell. It actually smells like this floral scent that my grandma used to wear(God rest her soul) and it didn’t smell “young” to me at all. You want young, try Very Hollywood by MK. I try not to call scents “old lady” but I have actually smelled something very similar on many older women so I think it’s a copy of an older scent that’s already in existence. There are actually very few fragrances that I don’t like-I may not wear some of them but I am not disgusted by it, but Daisy definitely falls into serious dislike category for me. Definitely try before you buy-I watched several YouTube videos where girls raved about this scent-just because they like it doesn’t mean you will.

Fragrances -Victoria's Secret - VS Fantasies Be Seduced
rated 3 of 5
aqua76239 4/11/2012 3:54:00 PM

Notes: rasberry cream and musk. I got it yesterday and to be honest, I am kind of dissapointed. You will get rasberries at first but almost immediately it transforms itself into slightly musky sweet scent. It kind of reminded me of Dream Angels Heavenly Shine. Don't get me wrong, Be Seduced smells nice but its just too simular to all the other scents they already have. And the part that irritated me the most-I got lotion and edt(new version they just put it out) and it barely lasted 45 minutes on me, layered. Common, VS, you really need to improve lasting power of your fragrances because I really feel like I am wasting money here. Sorry for the rant but I have to spray edt 6-7 times just to get it to last for 30-45 minutes, its a rip off. Rant over All I can say is, its a nice scent but nothing new and lasting power is terrible. I will be returning this

Fragrances -Victoria's Secret - VS Fantasies Secret Craving
rated 4 of 5
aqua76239 4/11/2012 3:46:00 PM

Notes from VS site-black currant and vanilla absolute. This is a nice scent, it reminds me of Ralph Lauren Hot, except a bit more powdery, Hot is fresher smelling. I have body spray and lotion and it does last couple of hours layered. Not sure if I would repurchase, I don't think its that unique but I like it

Fragrances -Michael Kors - Very Hollywood
rated 4 of 5
aqua76239 4/10/2012 4:38:00 PM

I stumbled on gift set at Ross's with shower gel, lotion and edt for $24.99 so even though I never smelled it, I decided to give it a go. I am rather pleased with this scent-I think you have to like gardenia and white florals in order to appreciate this scent. It starts out with a sweet fruit note then transforms itself into creamy gardenia scent with a prominent fruit note(rasberry). I can actually smell rasberries all throughout(not too much though)and it gives this scent that extra something that makes it special in my eyes. It reminds me of Marc Jacobs gardenia scent except MJ has this aquatic note, instead of fruit. Very Hollywood is very light, fresh, sweet smelling white floral. It smells "young" to me and I can picture younger girls wearing this. I think its quite lovely. I can see comparisons to KK but KK is rather linear and smells like straight up gardenia and VH is much sweeter so its really not the same scent. Neither is Very Hollywood is the same as MK as MK is very deep and intense with hint of incense, and its very "grown up" whether VH is young and playful. Neither do I see huge reseblence to Tease because Tease has that white sand note on the drydown which smells very musky amd VH stays fruty until the end. I think that all the fragrances fall in the same "category" as VH because these are all white florals but they don't smell the same as VH. Bottle is quite pretty but I don't think there is anything "Hollywood" about it because to my nose sweet clean and fresh scent, not really glamorous or sophisticated. Lasting power wasn't that good on me, even layered with lotion, I barely get 2 hours out of this. Oh, well...for the price, I really can't complain

Powder -Neutrogena - Mineral Sheers Powder Foundation SPF 20
rated 2 of 5
aqua76239 4/6/2012 8:23:00 PM

In general I prefer coverage that is more glowing and not as matte. This one is matte but it covers rather well-light to medium. What I didn't like is they had no color option for anyone with pale skin. All shades they had were glaringly yellow. It really irritates me when makeup artists and manufacturers assume that all women have yellow tones in their skin. I have pale porcelain skin and anything with yellow tones makes me look jaundiced. I wouldn't buy this again unless they include some lighter skin shades since quality was ok for drugstore foundation

Powder -Almay - Wake Up Hydrating Makeup
rated 1 of 5
aqua76239 4/6/2012 8:16:00 PM

I usually wear BE but I wanted to try to find a cheaper alternative. I don't think this is my favorite. Coverage is very shee which is ok but if you do need to apply more, it cakes up and smears. My regular routine is couple of small dots of liquid concealer which I set with powder and then I brush BE on top and it looks fine and doesn't smear. Well, I tried to do the same thing with Almay and even though I set my concealer with powder, as soon as I used Almay foundation over it, it smeared it right up. And no wonder-it feels wet and WILL smear anything else you put on your face. Forget retouching-the same thing will happen. Keep in mind that I have dry skin and never had this problem with any powder foundation. I think that people who had luck with this, probably are usuing it by itself and not in conjunction with other products. This will be going back

Fragrances -Christian Dior - Miss Dior Cherie
rated 3 of 5
aqua76239 4/6/2012 8:00:00 PM

Its amazing how popular this scent is but I never liked the same thing as majority of women so there you go. I used to sell fragrance in department store when I just got out of college and these types of fragrances were the most popular. By that I mean, florals and floral chypres-at the time, my most requested scents were Beautiful, Jill Sanders #4 and then Azzaro. So to Miss Dior Cheri-I have tested it numerous times to see what the fuss was about and I can safely say its not for me. I have hard time understanding why lot of people say that its sweet-I am guessing that its either their skin chemistry that is amplifying it or they are used to wear florals and chypres that are very dry so maybe coming from these kind of scents, Miss Dior Cherie will appear sweet. As another reviewer pointed out, this does bear resemblance to Coco Madem, except Coco M has more patchouli and not as citrusy as MDC. I don't smell popcorn or strawberries, I don't know if my nose can't smell these notes but they are nowhere to be found. If I could smell these two notes, I would have LOVED it. To me, this is all sunny floral with patch and hint of spice. It appears to be a rather long lasting scent so I really wish I would have liked it but alas no. I had DH smell this(on a paper strip) and he proclaimed that it was too "perfumey and old".

Lip Gloss -L'Oreal - Infallible Plumping 6 Hour Lipgloss
rated 1 of 5
aqua76239 4/6/2012 3:20:00 PM

This is by far one of the worst glosses I ever tried and I am a lipgloss junkie and own tons. It does goes on very sticky which doesn't bother me a whole lot because I like MAC Dazzleglasses which are supersticky so no biggie. What I was bothered by is that my lips felt as dry as Sahara. I was only wearing this one day and my lips felt much dryer as they have been before. Lipgloss that actually dries your lips? Seriously.. As if that wasn't bad enough, the worst part was disgusting chemical smell that I never smelled in any other gloss before. Even the cheapest glosses like Jordana smell nice but this was totally disgusting. Keep in mind that I am not someone is bothered by different scents in cosmetics but this was gross. I honestly don't think that I ever returned a lipgloss before but this is going back. Total waste of money. I would give it zero rating if I could.

Primer/ Corrector -Physicians Formula - Mineral Wear Talc-Free Mineral Correcting Powder
rated 4 of 5
aqua76239 4/3/2012 3:55:00 PM

I have some redness that I wanted to cover(from roseacea) and decided to try this. Pros: I used a large brush and lightly brushed it all over my face. It does cut down the redness by 60-70%. Not a miracle worker but pretty good still. I have very sensetive skin and this hasn't broken me out. if you apply it lighty, its not cakey or heavy. I used BE foundation over that and you couldn't tell there is extra layer of this on your face. cons: all the shades are very light. I choose the second lightest shade and it was almost white. I have very pale porcelain skin so lightly brushed, this looks like my own skin. However, heavily applied, I am sure it would be too white. For anyone with medium to dark skin tone-this product is definately not for you. I saw that several people commented that this made them look washed out-this IS a corrector, not foundation, and you are supposed to wear foundation over that. I really like it however and just repurchased this

Fragrances -Kat Von D - Poetica
rated 5 of 5
aqua76239 1/4/2012 2:47:00 PM

My introduction to Poetica went like this-I was at Sephora with a gc burning a hole in my pocket. Sampled several fragrances, wasn’t too impressed by any of them. And then I picked up a bottle of Poetica and sniffed it. Well, well…I sprayed some on my arm and next thing I knew, I was standing in line to pay for full sized bottle of Poetica. It was indeed instant love. It’s a very unique scent and I don’t think I smelled anything like this before. Its smoky and almost incensy but yet floral(and there doesn’t seem to be incense in the notes listed so go figure). I just tried BS Radiance which also has berries and tuberose but these two fragrances are polar opposites. I really don’t get the berries and passionfruit in Poetica-its all about tuberose, amber and woods. Sweet, smoky, ambery and yet white floral. How the nose behind it accomplished it, I have no idea but its very creative and unique. This is “goth tuberose”, lol and very true to Kat Von D style. I love it and everytime I wear it, I keep sniffing my arm! Bottle is vey stunning visually and purple is one of my favorite colors. The only negative thing that I can say that it doesn’t last as long as I expected and I see several reviewers complaining about same thing. Still, I don’t mind reapplying P.S. After I thought about it, I was reminded of Crystal Noir by Versace. It has the same “smoky floral” feel

Fragrances -Victoria's Secret - VS Attractions Wild One
rated 3 of 5
aqua76239 12/5/2011 1:55:00 PM

DH got this for me while he was on the trip and visited VS outlet store. Its pleasant fruity scent but I really don't smell rasberry and I was hoping for that. It smells fruity and clean, pleasant enough but no different from many other fruity body sprays out there. I ended up giving it to friend's teenage daughter since I prefer little more complexity in my perfumes
