Blush -Origins - Pinch Your Cheeks - Coralberry

Staying power is excellent. Color is...I have to say, the same as almost every other cheek stain out there. A hot pink color. Which is fine if the color looks good on you. But for my pale pinkish skin ... it's not my HG blush color.

Lip Gloss -MAC - Gitane Lipglass

I love this lipglass! The color is a gorgeous red which would look fantastic on nearly anyone. It is a sheer red with just a hint of beautiful shimmer. Gitane would look great with jeans and a T-shirt, as well as for a black tie affair. It is a sexy and classy color. I think it would look especially gorgeous on those of use who have brown or hazel eyes --> the color of the lipglass just brings out the warmth in the eyes!

Lip Gloss -MAC - Lustreglass in Little VI [DISCONTINUED]

Love love love this color! I've never had a lipstick or lip gloss anything like this color, yet it is so versatile, and could be worn on anyone and with anything. The color is...angelic! I especially love it when I'm wearing blues or purples. The only negative is the lasting power. Like all lustreglasses, it doesn't last long.

Skincare - Face -Makeup Artist's Choice (MUAC) - 55% Lactic Acid Peel
rated 2 of 5

Well, I've done 4 peels over the last 4 weeks and the results are...very subtle, at most. Not enough for me to get excited about. What I was hoping for was minimizing of wrinkles and general smoothing of the skin. It does seem to have some subtle, short-term effects in that regard. However, I do have sore skin the day of and following the peel, as well as little red bumps that appear and then disappear a few days later. For me it's just not worth the trouble. However, I know that many of you have had great results from this peel, so my sample- pack is going up for swap! :-D

Primer/ Corrector -Clinique - Pore Minimizer Instant Perfector
rated 2 of 5

First, I'll mention what I don't like about this stuff. It minimizes my pores by CLOGGING them! It looks great on - makes skin look smoother. But, inevitably, if I wear this two days in a row, by the third day, my skin is developing acne! So I wear it maybe once a week and on special occasions. I won't re-purchase, since I rarely use it anyway.

The apricot luminizing brush powder was a let-down. It really does virtually nothing for my face. Not worth the money.

I agree with the Wows! It is quite amazing that this stuff actually moisturizes AND mattifies. The PERFECT primer! I believe I have discovered a new HG. I am wearing this lotion every day now under foundation, and I am completely in love. If you have oily skin, get this! If you have combo skin, get this!

Treatments (Eye) -L'Oreal - Age Perfect Eye Treatment
rated 1 of 5
andij 4/4/2005 11:06:00 PM

Would I buy this again? Heck no. Would I use this stuff if someone paid me to? Heck no. This eye cream attempts to eliminate wrinkles by irritating the undereye area so much that it puffs up. The result? Puffy pink eyes that look (and are) raw and painful. I used it for two weeks hoping for some miracle. Did it get rid of wrinkles? I don't know - I couldn't SEE. I'm exaggerating, but you get the point. I put this stuff right where it belonged- in the trash. It definitely ain't going up for swap!

Concealers -Sonia Kashuk - Hidden Agenda Concealer Kit

The concealer that I have been looking for all my life! I have darkness, and wrinkles, under my eyes...and concealer always seemed to enhance those flaws. Until I found this! I don't know what is so special about it...I think it has something to do with the applicator-brush. But I can put the concealer right where I want it, and it doesn't cake into wrinkles. Wonderful! I love this stuff. I'm thinking of buying ten of these, so I will have them the rest of my life! ;-)

Lip Gloss -MAC - Nymphette lipglass
rated 5 of 5
andij 3/30/2005 12:03:00 AM

I have blonde-highlighted hair, brown eyes, and medium-to-fair skin... and this is my LIP STAPLE. I wear it nearly every day. I use lipliner (either MAC Whirl or Rimmel Addiction) and Nymphette Lipglass. The Nymphette shows up nicely as pale pinky-nude shimmery lips. Gorgeous! These lips go with almost anything! HINT: The Rimmel Addiction is VERY similar to MAC Whirl lipliner, so if you are looking for a lipliner to wear with Nymphette, opt for the cheaper version!

Blush -Jane - Blushing Earth Sheer
rated 4 of 5

Great color on the apples of the cheeks. I have moderately fair skin, blonde-highlighted hair, and brown eyes. I pair the "Earth Sheer" with "Baby Doll", and the effect is natural, fresh, glowing cheeks! I had been using MAC blush until I found this jewel! The quality of the Jane blushes is excellent - finely milled, great pigmentation. And they cost $1.98 each!

This color is so natural, fresh, and beautiful. I have moderately fair skin, brown eyes, and blond-hightlighted hair. I pair the Baby Doll with Earth Sheer (on apples of cheeks), and the effect is fresh glowing cheeks! Prior to this, I had been wearing MAC, but now I prefer the Jane blushes. The colors work well with my coloration. The quality is excellent - very finely milled with great pigmentation. And they cost me $1.98 each!

Wow! The Jane Blushes are surprisingly great quality- very finely milled, beautiful colors. I recently bought Blushing Earth Sheer and Baby Doll, and I use the two together. It gives a very natural, fresh, glowing look. The first day I wore the blush, I received two complements - "You look really well rested," and "Did you change your hair?" (I hadn't, of course). I am very happy with my purchase! ($1.98 each!)!! And prior to this, I had been wearing MAC blush! Thank you to all who recommended the Jane blushes!
