edit: I am back to using the lighter shade. I don't think you need to go up a shade after all. This is another great foundation from cg. Thanks to all the reviews I went up a shade to buff beige and it is perfect in terms of color. It gives great coverage while looking natural and did not crease around my eyes. I do find the package annoying and hard to open, but it is a great foundation.

EDIT: Although in the past I have worn buff beige I have noticed that my skin tone has gone down a shade in all my foundations, not just cg. I can wear buff beige in an extremely shear way over oily sunblock and it looks fine but at night without the oily (and whitish) sunblock it looks to dark on me. I bought classic ivory trublend and cg smoothers and it is a great color for me with the smoothers but very orange in trublend. Because of this I will no longer wear trublend until maybe the summer and I get enough color to wear buff beige and the other foundations that are now to dark. This is a great foundation IF you can find a color that it right for you. I am not thrilled that all colors are the same in all lines. Classic ivory is a perfect light yellow toned color in smoothers, it should be in tru as well. I hope it works for me in aquasmooth because I also used this in buff beige and it is also too dark.......... Below is my first review for buff beige, a medium beige yellow tone. great color if it works for you The old formula was my drugstore hg and I was mad that they changed it. It took me a while to try the new stuff (The ingredient list is longer and has propylene glycol which is an irritant for some - the first did not have this) but I am happy I tried it. It makes my dry skin glowy and my imperfections go away with the use of concealer on top, which it is a great base for. It also does not look like I am wearing makeup when I wear this. I hope I don't get any breakouts or irritations from this and it will again be my drugstore hg. I hope this works out for me. ps - I can see any oily ladies not liking this - but I am dry and LOVE dewy finishes which this one has.

This is a review for cayenne, cinnamon and ginger. These are really nice lipsticks. I bought them a few years ago and always go back to them, they are my hg of the moment. A little about my situation, I stopped using non-natural lipsticks when I got pregnant with my son, now 1 year old. I was worried about chemicals and gluten (due to health issues) and was also concerned about lead - this was before loreal lead warning study. Well, I am glad I made the change because before then loreal was my fav lipstick!!!! I would have been extremely stresses during my pregnancy if I had been using them but I was not (I was a little concerned about the lead buildup already in my system from years of loreal lipsticks but these was nothing I could do about this.) I love these lipsticks because they are organic, but they also are wonderful formulations. There is no bad smell/taste and they did not go bad, dry out, get tacky or change in any way after years of owning them. They also last a really long time and the package although not the most beautiful tube in the world won't break like some other natural brands I have tried HATE THAT!!!! Cayenne is a warm red, exactly what you would expect from the name. Applied heavily if is full coverage, rich and silky. You can also apply just a touch from a pinky to get a natural red stain for the lips. The color lasts longer than anything else I have tried but NEVER looks dry. Ginger is the perfect med warm pink. It looks wonderful over dry flaking lips and never highlights the dryness or flakes. It is a really perfect lipstick that always feels great, never dry and lasts forever as well. Cinnamon is a nude color. My husband hates all nudes, not just this one (they give me 'corps lips' so he says) so I don't wear it very often but it is perfect in its own way. Would be great for a smoky eye and nude mouth. also not drying and I have had a lot of compliments on this but I want my husband to think my lips look pretty sooo... I do with there were more colors I was attracted to in this line. They have a lot of colors but a lot of them are very dark and muddy looking but I am very pale. Darker skin tones may find many that suit them. I also like the fact the their site will tell you cool/warm. I look horrible in cool colors and this makes it easy to avoid them. I will continue to avoid all non-natural lipstick until I am out of my chid bearing years. I also like ecco bella but their lipstick can have a smell/taste and dry as they get old. There are more colors I like from them but they don't apply as smoothly as these do and their caps break all the time. hemp organics/color organics are worth the price by far and I love that they have testers!!! I will continue to wear these and I hope these are made for many years to come!!!
This is my new HG!!! I have had it for long time and only now did I come back to it. i can't remember why I did not use it years ago - its barely touched BUT I think it was a bit dark but having moved to a state with more sun it works for me now. I apply it with fingers and it looks like I am wearing NO makeup but with great coverage, I barly need concealer and its a great concealer base if i still need some. I did NOT noitice it turn to powder which I would hate because my skin is very dry. My other HG is trublend (I bought with with a bogo coupon when I got both trublend and aquasmooth) but in the summer I just don't want to deal with a liquid and a sponge. I am very happy that I have had this for years and it did NOT dry up at all.. Ihave tried the MOST EXPENSIVE FOUNDATIONS AND THE LEAST AND I ALWAYS COME BACK TO COVER GIRL!!!!!!!!---UPDATE: L have also tried this with the sponge. Although I don't have any issues applying this makeup with my fingers, I do think that the sponge may be faster to apply with. I still use my fingers around my nose where it looks GREAT. For me, this is my BIGGEST problem area - red and dry looking most makeup looks HORRIBLE here, but not this. I also use my fingers to fully blend the foundation. I hope they never discontinue this - and I LOVE that there is NO CHEMICAL SPF IN IT - VERY BAD FOR THE SKIN!!!!!!!

Blush -Bobbi Brown - Pot Rouge for Lips and Cheeks in Pale Pink

Ths may be my fav of the all. an EXTREMELY natural pink which I JUST LOVE. I can't believe it took me this long to try this one, but honestly I was always confused by the dif pinks I just passed them all by. I will always wear these - I have stopped wearing all other blushes AND THEY LAST ALL DAY!!!!!!! wonderful color, wonderful product that will last forever - really!!! evem with daily wear I can't see someone finishing the pot for YEARS
My new fav!!! I have Cafe Au Lait and plan to get more. There is no bad smell and the colors are wonderful. Normally I have issues with natural lipsticks either smelling, bad colors or just poor performance. I would use these even if they were not natural, but I am only using natural lip products from now on. A bit pricey but not compaired to Dr H. and these hands down are MUCH better - sooo many more colors and the colors are also better, and $10 less!!! EDIT: I still love these and have bought more BUT 1 point off for the cap because the cap of the lipstick cracked when still almost brand new! NOT ok at all, but something you can avoid by wrapping clear take around the cap BEFORE it breaks - you can't fix it after it breaks. If you care about the way the tube looks you will not be happy, but I don't care. The same thing happened to me with their concealer. The cap broke and I stopped carring it around in my bag - too bad, because I think lipstick type concealers are great because you should be able to travel with them. I still LOVE these lipsticks but they are not cheap and for the $$$ I want cap to not break - esp when almost brand new!

Blush -Bobbi Brown - Pot Rouge for Lips and Cheeks in Summer Tan
amy212 2/2/2007 6:46:00 PM
I love bobbi's lip and cheek pots - this is my new fav. Its like a nude lip gloss for the cheeks - a warm pinky tan color. I also love a small dab on the eyes - my husband says it makes my green eyes "sparkly". I use my paula dorf cream blush brush - perfect. Plus, I think these will last a LONG time because you only need a bit and the cream is dense and well pigmented. Plus, the color lasts all day, even over my greasy sunblock - these rouge pots are some of the only blushes that stand up to my sunblock. Sheer but blendable. A great product!!!
Moments after application I looked like "droopy eyed dog" from the cartoons my lids looked sooo old and crepey. The only good thing is that they are returnable - the only reason why I even tried this. I LOVE creme eyeshadows and had to try it sometime - but like everyone said CREPEY = CRAPPY. Too bad, I am sure to exchange for a pot rouge - LOVE THOSE and you can get a hint of color on the eyes from them if you have a good color for the eye area.
"get down plum" is one of my HG blushes - its a pinky / plummy flush with very light shimmer - one of the most pretty, natural blushes I own. Its cream to powder but not too dry - and it lasts forever. I love to buy new cream/gel blushes but I ALWAYS COME BACK HOME TO THIS BLUSH. Love it, its one of my all time favs!!!!!!!
Treatments -Burt's Bees - Dr Burts Herbal Defense Ointment
amy212 12/28/2006 11:29:00 PM
I completely agree - this cream is great for acne . I have been using zinc baby rash cream fr years on my face but the ones I have been using also contain paraben - this is all natural. It takes away redness so it is great to use after you have fried your skin with other products. It is great on dry spots and oozy spots as well, evening everything out as well. I huge rave, I will never be without!!!!
I really wanted to love this mascara, but NOT. The brush clumped BADLY on me and you can't wipe with brush or it makes the brush clump more - the plastic teeth stick together and it gets WORSE and WORSE - horrible. It also makes my lashs clump, smear AND flake - the worse mascara ever. Now maybe if I stopped at only 1 coat it would be ok - but only 1 coat does nothing for me and I love the natural look and already have dark thick lashes, if anything 1 coat minimizes my lashes if possible!!!! I like mascaras that are easy to use and if I want to stroke on more that one coat quickly it wears fine, but this aint it!!!!! Normally I am really quick to return anything that makes me this mad, but I kept it hoping to find the secret that it seams everyone but me has discovered. Every time I use it the same thing happens and I do try to from time to time just to see if things are different but if looks horrible every time.
Mascara -Beauty Without Cruelty - full volume mascara
amy212 11/12/2006 10:09:00 PM
My HG mascara has ALWAYS been rimmel extreme definition but having moved to colorado, rimmel is harder and harder to find so I wanted something to wear every day and save my rimmel for going out. This mascara is the only mascara past my rimmel that I would buy again and again. It is extremely nautral looking but gives me "better" lashes than without. I find it lengthing and darkening, not much in the way of volumn - but I don't really need that, and I find that normally volumn = clumps, but not here. I also love that I don't need to wipe the brush and can stroke the same area a few times with the brush without it getting gross (cg lash exact) or smear. For me its pefect and has really lessened the blow of my rimmel being sooo hard to find. To compair beauty to rimmel - rimmel coats EVERY lash perfectly and it looks natural but NOT if that makes any sense. I don't think it is very heavy feeling and come off easily with oil, but a lot of mascara comes off and its a bit messy when wiping it all away (not bad, I don't really mind) The beauty is very natural looking - really my lashes but better. Wearing rimmel I can get complements on my mascara, with beauty I get complements on my lashes, and beauty is a lot easier to clean up, very little mascara comes off my lashes and is a very easy to wipe away. The best thing about rimmel and beauty is that I don't need to worry about having oily lashes messing up the application. Most mascara won't wear well over oily lashes so I have to wipe them down before applying - but rimmel and beauty just applys without smearing or flaking and I LOVE that!!!!!

This works for me, I do my lower legs. I tried it years ago and returned it - but now I have waxing experience and a license - using this knowledge I get nads to work well for me now. I always heat the product for about 30 seconds and let it cool down - it applies to thick if you don't and wont work well at all. (Always test the ehat becore applying) They do warn against heating too much but I have never had a problem with it not working well this way (again - don't burn yourself, the stuff should just be warm enough to spread easy) I find I get many less ingrown hairs and irritation from true waxing. I also like that you can do cleanup with just hot water - true wax is a real mess!!!! The only thing I HATE is that in NO WAY do they give you enough strips!!!!! You better but more strips as SALLY before attempting this - you may not have enough strips to finish both legs!!!!!! The product does work though and I am left with clean legs, it hurts less than normal waxing as well
