Mascara -Maybelline - Great Lash Mascara Waterproof

This used to be all I would use, and now for the life of me, I can't figure out why. I've strayed and used a variety of other brands, haven't found anything too special, but I've found some that are better than this. Not that this is a bad product, it doesn't clump on me (but I apply very carefully), it colors my lashes, and since it's waterproof, and it doesn't come off (that's an understatement, you could probably paint spaceships with this stuff...it ain't coming off!!). But it doesn't do anything to lengthen or thicken my lashes, it just colors them. And I have never had a harder time getting mascara off! I probably won't buy this again, just because there are mascaras that will lengthen and thicken for around the same price right on the shelf right next to this one.
Self Tanners -Lancome - FLASH BRONZER Self-Tanning Face Gel

I bought this because as I am no longer tanning, my face and neck have become too pale for even the lightest shade of foundations in brands that I like. I usually despise self tanners, because they streak, look orange, or just make parts of me look dirty. This did none of the above. That's impressive, seeing as how I'm a spaz when it comes to self tanner. I can mess up the most fool-proof, streak free tanner there is. However, this did just what I was looking for. I wanted a product to make my face, neck and decollatage the same color, or at least close to the same color as my foundation, so there wouldn't be such a contrast. It was a very, very subtle change, so if you're looking for something that say, I don't know, tans you, you probably would be better off with another brand, especially for the price. However, if you're looking for something very subtle which won't streak, this is a good product. I did notice that this is kinda yellow-tinted, I like that, some may not. I gave it a 4 instead of a 5 because I think there may be better out there for the price. This product is incredibly subtle, almost to a fault, and a little pricy.
I can't find a pencil liner that won't smudge unwantedly on the rest of my eye, so Wet n Wild is as good as any, for me. I use their black eyeliner, and it goes on as easily and smoothly as any high-priced eyeliner. I just wish it had a smudger on the end of it, but for only 99 cents, I guess I'll take what I can get. Since black eyeliner is a makeup staple for me, even if I stray to other brands I always keep a Wet n Wild pencil around just in case I lose my other eyeliner or stop liking it.
Lip Treatments -Fusion Beauty - LipFusion Lip Plumping Gloss

I bought the sampler mini-kit of this gloss over the weekend. I think it came with 8 shades for $48. So far I've tried sexy, blush, glow and fresh. I am in love with these little tubes of gloss! Nothing has been able to make my usually flaky, chapped, dry lips feel this smooth and flawless. I don't wear lipstick, so the tint that this gloss gives is perfect for a subtle, natural looking color. The tints don't vary much from one tube to another except for sexy, which gives that "just made out" look to my lips. Are my lips plumper? Well, maybe. I can't really tell if they're fuller or just more comfortable from not being all chapped. They're not Angelina Jolie lips yet or anything, but hey, maybe if I keep using it...who knows? UPDATE: My husband actually told me the other night it looks like my lips have gotten bigger! He doesn't know I'm using lip enhancers and I hadn't put any on for a couple of hours. So I guess that's enough evidence for me!
I love this foundation...I won't use anything else. It covers up my redness almost entirely, blends easily, doesn't turn orange on me, and I can always find a color to match. I've never been able to find another foundation that offers such full coverage but doesn't look fake or caked on. Oh, and it lasts all day...another plus.
I'm sad to say this product did nothing for me. It didn't cover up my red, and although it isn't as flaky and powdery-looking on my dry skin as most pressed powders, it's still somewhat flaky so I probably won't use it often. The color did match beautifully, it just didn't conceal my redness around my nose which is what I bought it for. I won't be buying this again. EDIT: I tried using this over a more moisturizing foundation (lancome's absolue pearl) and found that it can indeed be worn without making me look flaky. However, even over foundation it is still unable to get rid of red. I can cake this stuff on and you can still see the redness. Oh well, still useless. The only reason I give this product a 2 instead of a 1 is because I really do like the color.
