Foundations -Revlon - ColorStay Makeup with SoftFlex SPF 6 for Combination/Oily Skin

This is an almost identical dupe to MAC Studiofix. Having had both, i actually prefer this to the MAC! The shade range is better for my skintone (neutral undertones). The MAC always oxidized on me and looked terrible but I loved the coverage. Thank God for Colorstay because I get the best things of Studiofix Fluid without the negatives. I even feel like I'm using Studiofix bc they both have the paint smell to them ( most people don't like the smell but strangely I love it? Weird). Great coverage but apply quickly because it does set VERY fast. Like most, I would prefer this came with a pump bc you waste a lot of product pouring and the neck of the bottle gets downright DISGUSTING. But then again, SFF doesn't come with a pump either but at least you have the option of buying one. I am just going to put it into an old bottle of NARS Sheer Matte once I finish that since I have the foundation pump for that one now :)

Blush -BeneFit Cosmetics - Coralista

My favorite blush hands-down. Similar in shade to NARS Orgasm but more pigmented, this blush is gorgeous. I will say that Benefit should be ashamed for reducing the size of their boxed powders without lowering the price. There is no excuse for this :(

Blush -NARS - Orgasm Blush
adamj2004 2/11/2012 9:56:00 PM
NAR Orgasm is a cult blush and with reason. The color itself is gorgeous, a peachy coral tone. However, the claim that it is universal is ABSOLUTELY not true. I am rather fair and it barely shows up on me. Anyone with a medium or deep skintone would have to build ridiculous amounts of color for it to show up. The shimmer in this is pretty scary in the pan but more subtle on the skin. For some reason, my blush is almost pilling in the pan with multiple little pitted holes in the blush pan (does anyone else have this problem with Orgasm specifically? I worked at Sephora for a year and our tester was ALWAYS like this but their other shades were not). And the NARS packaging, while classic and instantly identifiable, gets dirty almost immediately due to the almost gummy texture of the black outer casing. I do love this blush and would most likely repurchase if I ever ran out. Imitations just do not cut it (E.L.F. Contour and Blush palette, for instance, doesn't even come close AND has blemish-causing mineral oil in it. WTF?)

Misc Beauty Tools -Clarisonic - Mia
adamj2004 2/11/2012 9:51:00 PM
I'm still on the fence about the Clarisonic. Working at a higher-end cosmetic chain, we were always trained about the amazing ability of the Clarisonic to cleanse more deeply and allow other skincare items to penetrate deeper and work more effectively (it does NOT exfoliate). I'm not really sure these claims are true. I have used my Clarisonic pretty religiously since I bought it over 2 years ago and I can't say my skin is really that much different. The fine lines that are starting to form around my eyes are exactly the same. I love that one in comparison to the others. I'm in LIKE with my Clarisonic, not love. It may just be psychosomatic in my mind thinking that it is making a big difference. That being said, I still continue to use it and do not regret purchasing it :)

Blush -E.L.F. - Contouring Blush & Bronzing Powder
adamj2004 1/19/2012 4:07:00 PM
Similar to the NARS Orgasm/Laguna duo but the E.L.F. blush is more pink and the NARS is more peach/coral toned. The bronzer is VERY dark so I could only literally tap a kabuki in to use it without it looking muddy on my skin. It broke me out HORRIBLY however due to the mineral oil in it. Cheaper products usually have this ingredient in them and it is highly comedogenic. I should've read the box before buying but I usually don't buy cheaper blush/bronzer so I didn't think to look. Went straight into the trash.

Skincare - Body -Neutrogena - Body Clear Body Spray
adamj2004 9/2/2011 12:15:00 PM
While the product did its job rather well, the claim that it is a 360 degree spray is a total lie. I wasn't even able to finish my bottle since the nozzle stopped spraying and just spit out the product. I attempted the clear the nozzle under water but this did nothing. I suppose I could use the solution with a cotton pad but this defeats the purpose of a spray. Very disappointed.
