Sunscreen -Unlisted Brand - Eminence Organics Persimmon & Cantaloupe Day Cream Spf 32
XoXoSinCity 10/28/2012 12:35:00 AM
I will simply sum this review up in HG Heavens have smiled upon me and given me the only spf product I have tried in my life that I can use without breakouts/clogs/grease/irritation. I am a true believer in the Eminence Skin Care line which I have been now using for the last month. I have suffered with super clog/breakout/oily/dehydrated prone fussy insanely picky skin all my life. Skincare has always been a tedious chore and fear of my skin always going crazy and having to tweak my routine constantly. Also for those who have fussy skin you know how truly hard it is to find the balance of using actives/products to keep you clear yet not dry out your skin/leave it red at the same time. Since using only this line I can't believe to say my skin is completely balanced and breakout free without use of any harsh active. Redness is gone, and my skin is even again instead of pink. This SPF cream is super light weight and literally the texture of whipped souffle. It smells to die for heavenly as ever single product in this line that smells like pure fruit you could eat. I prior gave up on spf for the last 6 months which was driving me crazy as I am very fair. After a decade of using spf just to be "safe" I had to give up as it was ruining my skin and the hard work of my other products. I never thought I would finally find an spf that offered protections/hydration and leaves my skin feeling clean/matte at even the end of the day plus leaves my skin glowing. I am so glad an esthetician urged me to try this when I was completely against spf. It is like no other. Great for any skin types but there are of course heavier versions in the line for those with extra dry skin types. Also products from this line are truly worth the price/investment as I am surprised to see how far they go considering how concentrated/pure they are as not water based. This 2 oz jar will last me a year easily. Do not hesitate if you as well have had only bad luck with all the cone/oil/alcohol/heavy spfs on the market. Now I see why people get hooked on this line when they go to spas that use it on them. I have never tried, of the hundred of lines I've bombed out on (sadly no joke), a single product line that is not only natural but has such pure, clean, fresh, and truly healing ingredients where everything you try has better results than the last even for problem skin like mine, makes me feel like I have do nothing flawless skin like all my friends for the first time ever! :)

Toners -Unlisted Brand - Eminence Stone Crop Hydrating Mist
XoXoSinCity 10/22/2012 7:20:00 PM
I am really falling in love with Eminence products as this if the only pure natural line I have tried that makes my skin feel and look like a million bucks and isn't full of cloggers/oils for problem skin types. That alone is worth the money and wish I stumbled upon it years ago instead of wasting so much cash on other lines that did nothing for me. I am really impressed with the stone crop products as I never realized how truly healing this plant was. Just using the gel wash and this spray toner my skin is so balanced, redness gone, and all my breakouts/marks heal so fast. It has an AHA effect without using the chemical/redness. I have never really believed in the power of toners by any means in the past. Yes I have used many for a pleasant refresher or mainly on a cotton pad for gentle exfoliation.removal of dead skin/clogs and manual exfoliants would irritate me too easily. Then again most toners on the market dont truly have beneficial ingredients. This mist really leaves my skin hydrated and balanced and acts as a serum almost. Plus love that like many of the toniques from Eminence it has Salicylic Acid which adds for clarifying which my skin always needs. I really couldn't ask for more and look forward to trying the other toniques to see if they are nearly as healing as this one. Absolutely love that the bottles are great for travel as well as having spray tops from the start so no products is wasted on cotton pads/etc.

Cleansers -Unlisted Brand - Eminence Organic Skin Care - Stone Crop Gel Wash
XoXoSinCity 10/20/2012 12:57:00 AM
I am really loving Eminence products. I have tried for years to find a healthy, pure, natural line for my problem clog/oily prone skin and they all drove my skin mad being full of cloggers and oils. This line is very impressive in catering to every skin type out there. It doesn't get any more pure and the products smell to die for literally like every fresh ingredient that are made from. This cleanser is one of the main ones they have that is a gel and meant for blemish prone skin. It isn't stripping whatsoever and really leaves my skin calm and balanced and I don't have to worry about getting dry spots as most gel cleanser do to me over time. I am surprised how much I am loving it being so gentle and non foaming like what I am used to. However that is why it is so hydrating/balancing and I never have to worry about my skin eventually getting dried out. Also I am truly shocked as to how healing stone crop has been in being the only thing in years to finally completely knock out all the pink/redness (among heal/fade and post blemish marks instantly) in my fair skin bringing me back to the porcelain peaches and cream complexion of my childhood before I went astringent/exfoliation crazy trying to clear my skin. I did have to pair using this cleaner with the Citrus Wash in the morning (smells to die for as well) only because I needed something to help with the clog prone areas/dead skin buildup the Stone Wash can't eliminate. I couldn't be happier with this combo. One of the many great items from Eminence and I can't wait to try more. They are only the tip of the iceburg of the amazing products in this line (every item I try ends up being better than the last which is hard to believe considering how picky my skin has always been) are as well truly concentrated and in that worth the cost as they will last quite a long time if used properly! :)

Sunscreen -Peter Thomas Roth - Uber Dry Sunscreen SPF 30
XoXoSinCity 10/13/2012 6:01:00 PM
I used to use this spf for years as no secret I rave about the PTR line all the time because I have always been impressed with the amazing quality of the products and have tried so many. I have insanely fussy super breakout/clog/oily prone skin. I have yet to ever find an spf in existance that isn't full of alcohol, cones, and clogging ingredients that leaves my face matte and isnt heavy. This spf was the only thing that ever did that for me and great price for the amount you get. BUT the cold hard facts are that is is completely UNSTABLE as I found out a while back. I was really surprised and dissapointed in the only amazing formula for problem skin types offers no true sun protection. In that what is the point you might as well be using a regular moisturizer. What shcocks me is PTR has so many other spf products that are actually stable protection yes all those are rediculously greasy/heavy and didnt come close to being okay for my skin. Since giving this one up I have never founda replacement and gave up on spf as not worth it ruining/breaking out my skin considering all the effort I put in with other skincare to stay clear you know lol. I have hopes one day they might reformulate and make this one stable but until then sorry ladies this moisturizer is worthless as a so called "SPF".

Toners -Unlisted Brand - Solvere Toner Pads
XoXoSinCity 10/11/2012 12:34:00 AM
These are the best BHA pads I've ever tried hands down. I have super clog?breakout prone skin as as much as I would love pure AHA Pads/products to work for keeping my skin clear since aha's aren't drying as most actives are, they just don't keep my skin clear and clog free like BHA does as it just penetrates my nightmare pores better lol. These pads compared to most out there are very well priced, are rediculously alcohol filled, and dont dry me out like most bha's. I would recommend anyone use these 1x a day as I have been suprised over the years even having such breakout/oily prone skin and using gentle everything else pads/strong actives 2x a day always end up drying me out over time.

Treatments -Arcona - Tabula Rasa
XoXoSinCity 10/3/2012 2:36:00 AM
Love love love these pads lol. From someone who has tried every type of clarifying pad/treatment out there for super clog/breakout/oily prone skin let me tell you finding anything that not only works but doesnt dry me out within a few weeks is a miracle on it's own. These are the only clarifying pads that havent dried out/messed up the balance of my skin after using for a few days and such a great ingredient list. I tried the Raspberry Pads first which I wanted to love so much but the alcohol in them did me in as usual. I use the Tabula Rasa Pads day and night along with the Raspberry Bar (the bar one it's own is not as deep cleaning as I expected). I don't know why I didnt try these products from Arcona years ago as had just really given up on finding quality healthy ingredients yet alone something effective for my high maintenance skin. Really an Arcona convert and totally justifies the annoying ordering online. Ofourse not a fan as a given that they are somewhat pricey especially as using them 2x a day but hey the amount of money Ive spent over the years for endless products that didnt work, suppose I cant complain now. Also these pads are the cheapest of the different pads Arcona offers so definitely a steal especially with discounts on Skinstore or Dermstore. Can't wait to try the Solution Pads next as a glycolic treatments a few times a week! :)

Styling Products -A/G - beach bomb
XoXoSinCity 10/1/2012 10:28:00 PM
Love the A/G line of styling products. After reading the rave reviews for this curl product had tot ry it out and boy were they right. I have the fussiest combo of naturally loose wavy, super dry/frizz/pouffy hair. My hair without product and out fo showe ris nightmare status no matter how "healthy" it is. Nothing on planet earth I try product wise has ever managed to tame it and give me manageable hair aka leaving my always having to heat style to look like a polished human being for work/etc lol. I either flat iron/blowdry straight or when Im in a hirry and have no patiance with my demon waves I try to use a mousse or curl cream type product to airdry and head out the door. Anyone with similar hair knows how nearly impossible it is to find a product in existance that will not leave your hair crunchy/wet/dirty/weighed down/frizzy and actually define loose waves. I've spent more than salon owners I feel like on products on this quest lol. Beach Bomb is the closest I will officially find. Unlike other texturizers it isnt too sticky and doesnt make my hair looks dirty/weighed down and it doesnt look wet and crunchy like Recoil (really wanted that to work for me). It gives me as ncie of waves as I can ever hope for with airdrying. So not perfection but pretty close. As I am paranoid about using too much (can go bad really fast with these kind of products on fine hair lol), I mix it with a tad of my fav styling/straightening cream Goldwell Rich Repair or Color Rich Fluid for some added moisture. Worth the money considering this type of product lasts forever siince you don't use a alot and love the pump w/ lid bottle! :)

Toners -Arcona - Raspberry Clarifying Pads
XoXoSinCity 9/30/2012 6:37:00 PM
Really loved and wanted these pads to work out for me as Arcona products are just amazing quality and so healthy for skin. I have really clog/breakout prone skin so along with now using the Raspberry Bar (not as deep cleaning/enough to keep my skin clear on it's own as I imagined but amazing still as never dries me out), was using the pads day and night following. Even with the natural alcohol contained in this product (not nearly as much as Im sure in cheap drugstore products) I was slight nervous as my skin hates alcohol even being oily prone as I was sadly right as made me skin blotchy/somewhat irritated after using them for a week. As this is my only treatment product in my new routine they just werent cutting it so i exchanged them for the Tabula Rasa pads which don't have alcohol and hopefully will keep me clear. I won't knock these Raspberry Pads as they smell amazing and for anyone whose not sensitive to alcohol don't hesitate to try them!

Fragrances -Escada - Especially
XoXoSinCity 9/9/2012 1:13:00 AM
LOVE this perfume, finally sweet meet citrus/floral in the absolute perfect balance. I have been in a perfume funk recently as years of my staples (Dior Cherie, Viva La Juicy, Burberry Brit, etc) have me bored and looking for a new unique scent that is awesome for day or night. I had smelled so many scents at sephora and they all were either too sharp floral or sickly sweet. Was suprised how much I liked this one especially being Escada as honestly have never been a fan of this brand. I have bought the bottle edt LE scents that come out every summer when I was younger. They smelled fruity and fun but honestly were nothing better than cheap body spray you can buy at the mall at the cost of a perfume which just wasn't worth the value for me. Especially Escada however is really quality perfume status. I got the 1oz to try out for a few months and will see if it becomes a permanent staple. I do love the sleek modern fendi type packaging as well. Worth trying to say the least! :)

Cleansers -Philosophy - Clear Days Ahead Oil-Free Salicylic Acid Acne Treatment Cleanser
XoXoSinCity 9/9/2012 1:06:00 AM
2nd that of the first reviewer. Always the HG items that don't have reviews fast enough LOL. So ya simply and shockingly FINALLY a cleanser that actually deep cleans and keeps my super clog/breakout/oily prone skin clear and balanced and doesnt end up totally stripping and drying out my skin a month in like every single cleanser I have ever tried in my life. Crazy consept I know! :p I was really doubting I would ever find a simply cleanser to acheive this but finally have. Im shocked this one works so well considering I have never to say the least been a fan of any Philosophy skin care ever. This line always is full of irritants and a million ingredients that have always gone wrong for me especially the Purity cleanser hence why I so so hesitant to try it. I love that the ingredients dont have any harsh sulfates and are pretty decent as well as the cleanser smelling amazing. Best of all they finally got with it and did a pump bottle and very happy color. No complaints at all and still loving it after a month. I use it morning and night and no drying yet (knock on wood). Don't hesitate to try this! :)

Moisturizers -Neutrogena - Ultra gentle soothing lotion SPF 15
XoXoSinCity 8/25/2012 8:42:00 PM
Complete fail for Neutrogena imo. This is finally the one and only spf, especially drug store product, that hasnt broken me out and loved the texture but the SPF is unstable and my main reason for purchasing. Makes absoltuely no sense to me. Higher spfs all breka me out and leave me greasy and the lower spfs aren't stable. A completley and utter challenge/waste of time for those of us with super fussy breakout prone skin hence my throwing in the towel for spf at the moment. If only this one had been stable!

Cleansers -Nuance by Salma Hayek - Chamomile Facial Cream Cleanser
XoXoSinCity 6/18/2012 5:17:00 AM
Obsessed with this line and this cleanser. I have tried about every skincare line on the planet in my life as super fussy breakout prone skin that hates everything lol. In that I thought this line was a joke when I glanced past it over the years at CVS. I have always loved Salma Hayek but just figured it was another one of those liens celebs slap their name on and call quality because they throw in a few natural ingredients. I have tried so many natural brands over the years to calm my skin and all would end up clogging me and my skin doesnt do well with heavy oils based products as good/healthy as they sound in theory you know. Oddly enough I was browsing for Shampoo/Conditioner for my fussy hair lol and picked up some of her stuff. After checking reviews on here and being very surprised to find so many glowing ones for all her products in general I could resist going back and buying a few skincare items including this cleanser. I have always wanted a cream cleanser to work for me in being "balancing" and leaving my skin soft to balance out from acne treatments but I absolutely never would feel clean,, would have e film left behind, and would get clogged instantly. Not only does this cleanser among all her products smell to die for spa like but Finally a cream cleanser that feels so nourishing/a pleasure to use and washes off clean! Among that I absolutely love the black/white super sleek travel friendly packaging. I now use this cleanser in the mornings in the shower, along with the Lime Exfoliating Gel a few times a week and the Oxygen Foaming Wash at night. Hope the amazing results last and that I don't get clogged long run from the "natural" ingredients. Love Salma's products and her philosophy behind the line in general. Don't hesitate to try these as wish I had sooner! :)

Treatments (Eye) -Kiehls - Midnight Recovery Eye
XoXoSinCity 5/16/2012 5:57:00 AM
I am only 25 but oddly have been an eye cream natzi and just tried them all out there lol. Super big on prevention so not quite fighting any wrinkles or dryness but just look for a healthy eye cream that simply has clean ingredients, wont cause milia, and hydrates and easily sinks in. Good moisture and spf is all we can do to prevent and mainly age gracefully. There is no miracle eye cream. This one is absolutely fabulous in being simple, hydrating amazingly, sinking in effortlessly, full of great natural ingredients, and in a super convenient and hygienic tube. A+++ !!!

Styling Products -DevaCurl - Styling Cream
XoXoSinCity 5/10/2012 3:05:00 AM
Not a bad product for everyone but nightmare for me. I love the Devacare products which have really helped making my super dry prone super pouffy frizzy naturally wavy fine to medium hair behave much better which is something no line on the planet I have tried ever has. I was so happy when they finally came out with a curl cream as the gels just don't work for my hair. However this cream is just waaaaay to heavy. Yes great for those with very thick hair but anyone with fine or loose curls stay far away as I might as well have put straight wax on my hair as not only was it heavy it coated and weighed down my hair like it was glue. I was dying to get through the work day just to get home and try to get this gunk out of my hair. I have used over moisturizing products before in trial and error realizing they of course weren't a match for my hair but none have ever left the waxy coating this did. Definitely not for my hair type and disappointing. Devacare didn't come out with a lighter curl cream as well. This one should be titled a curl balm/heavy cream as sadly a bit misleading since it in no way is for all curly hair.

Skincare - Face -Bliss Labs - All Types Lid/Lash Wash
XoXoSinCity 2/1/2012 8:18:00 PM
WOW is all I have to say to this very underrrated hidden gem of a product. I have tried many things from Bliss over the years and sadly they just gave me great results even though I loved the packaging/scents of the products. I dont wear foundation but a huge eye makeup person on a daily basis. In that I have been searching for the best remover out there probably since I was 16 lol. Ive gone from using bar soap, cleanser, cleansing oils, liquid, milks, wipes etc trying every option to easily remove eye make up nightly. For me something that works without having to use 50 cotton balls or pads, endless rubbing, and drying my lids out long term is ideal but relaly imposible to find. Know one likes having the dreaded 50 step skin care routine but as we all know finding an all in one product like a cleanser just ruined the eye area long run if used for makeup removal. I have been happy with my Dior Cleansing Milk for years which melts off my most longlasting eye liner and mascara yet stillw asnt satisfied as have to use tissues daily to wipe off dry. I randomly decided to try this Bliss gel remover when I spotted it at Ulta recently thinking what the hell as can easily be returned and was I ever blown away. I apply it on dry skin to break up all my eye makeup giving my that giant black blob lol and then shockingly when I add water I can effortlessly jsut wash it off in the sink. NO smudges, smears, marks, or black racoon under eyes left or need to follow with a cleanser or my cleansing milk. Perfectly clean eyes and I can jsut wash my face with cleanser and I am done. Can't beleive it as this is all I have ever wanted in a remover and finalyl dont need to use tissue or cotton rounds or anything which has felt like such a waste over the years. For the little amount I need the $16 price for the smaller bottle isnt bad at all considering how much I have spent over the years. Figured the one prodcut I didnt try all these years is the one that works the best. I find this a huge dupe/50x better product that Dermalogica Soothing Eye Makeup Remover Gel. I used that one the same way and had to wash 3x to still be left with some smear and after using it 2 nights it left my lids so tight/dry it hurt. COuldnt beleive it considering its claims of being so soothing and for sensitive eyes, riiiiiight! Bliss's however does what theirs claimed to do and cheaper. Don't hesitate to try this, one of a kind! :)
