Pressed Powders -TheBalm - Sexy Mama
rated 3 of 5
Themonsunxxx 5/7/2012 9:02:00 PM

I purchased this product because of the adorable pin-up girl packaging and also because the quality of TheBalm is great! Sexy Mam is claimed to be a translucent setting powder. Even though for the most part I really enjoy TheBalm products, I'm so-so on this one. I have oily skin so setting powder is essential towards my make up routine. I found that even though this works it does something to my skin I don't like. I often see a "peach fuzz"-like affect on my skin. I can wear it down, but then the powder is basically off. Its so-so, my Maybelline Dream Matte Setting Powder is a lot better. I would not repurchase this.

Eyeliner -Urban Decay - 24-7 Glide-On Eye Pencil in Covet
rated 5 of 5
Themonsunxxx 5/7/2012 8:57:00 PM

I adore colored liners and I've found that Urban Decay makes the best bright liners. The 24/7 line is phenomenal in hours of wear and also pigmentation. One of my new favorites is in the shade Covet. Its a beautiful dark teal, leaning more towards the green side. Its a fusion of blue and green and its oh so very flattering on my green eyes. Its perfect on days where I don't feel like trying, but I want to feel done up. It like my red lipstick. Not too much effort, but it makes a big statement. This color is beautiful, wears well and is very flattering. Worth my money, a staple in my collection. Love this!

Polishes -OPI - Brisbane Bronze
rated 3 of 5
Themonsunxxx 5/7/2012 6:57:00 PM

If MAC's Indianwood paint pot was in nail polish form, it would be this color. Brisbane Bronze is a beautiful shimmery bronze color with an orange toned base. Its opaque in color after the second coat. Its great for the summer, I love wearing this color on my finger nails! Its a good, basic color that I can throw on and it'll go with any outfit. If you're looking for a new summer polish check this baby out!

Polishes -Essie - Turquoise & Caicos (Resort 2010)
rated 3 of 5
Themonsunxxx 5/6/2012 6:08:00 PM

I was attracted to this polish by the beautiful Tiffany blue color! Its absolutely gorgeous in the bottle so when I saw it I just had to have it! I have been so-so about Essie polishes in general though. The brush is not great, its really thin and doesn't distribute the polish well. The formula of the polish is thick and goopy, like many of other Essie polishes. Despite these points, I am in love with this color. Its gorgeous for spring/summertime. I just wish the formulation was less thick and it was easier to put it. So I have a love/hate relationship with this polish -sigh-

Concealers -L'Oreal - Magic Lumi
rated 4 of 5
Themonsunxxx 5/5/2012 12:19:00 PM

This is probably one of my favorite concealers of all time. It truly does what it promises. It goes hand in hand with the the L'oreal Magic Lumi Light-Infused Primer. It promises a brightening effect. I use this under my eyes and I can say no concealer has given me this difference. It truly lightens up my area and makes the area look fresher and lifted. When the primer is used underneath it looks extra glam. Definitely one of my top drugstore concealers. One of my favorite concealers of all time. Check this product out!

Concealers -L'Oreal - Visible Lift Serum Age-Reversing Concealer
rated 2 of 5
Themonsunxxx 5/5/2012 10:15:00 AM

There has been a click pen concealers recently, so I picked this one up to see if it would be my new favorite. I found that for my personal taste, I do NOT like this! This product claims to give a lifted affect, geared more towards the older crowd. I am still young, but I do enjoy the lifted youthful look. I feel that this product did the exact opposite for me. I felt that my under eye area looked more old and droopy. This concealer set into the lines under my eyes. This product does not do what it claims at all. Do not get!

Primer/ Corrector -L'Oreal - Magic Lumi - Light Infusing Primer
rated 5 of 5
Themonsunxxx 5/5/2012 10:01:00 AM

I always like to try drugstore face primers because they cost so much in high end stores. I'm always looking for a cheaper option! L'oreal claims that this is a "light infusing primer" that will "highlight specific areas of the face to create a sculpted effect". These claims were definitely true in my opinion. This primer gives a beautiful dewy sheen to the skin. Its not shimmery or glittery, which I like. Its great to make the skin look young and fresh. You could even use this as a liquid highlighter if you put a bit more. If you look at the swatch closely you can see the little shimmers!

Blush -Milani - Baked Blush in Luminoso
rated 4 of 5
Themonsunxxx 5/5/2012 9:44:00 AM

I always wanted to try one of the Milani baked blushes. They look gorgeous and marbled in the packaging but I was curious about the actual pigmentation. I've been using this blush every day for the past month and I must say I love it! Its a beautiful coral-candy pink on the cheeks. It gives a lovely sheen to the cheeks, not too shimmery, just the perfect amount of glowy color. If you're looking for a cheap, gorgeous blush option you HAVE to check this out!

Cleansers -Philosophy - Purity Bar Soap
rated 5 of 5
Themonsunxxx 5/5/2012 9:41:00 AM

Philosophy's Purity has been a cleanser of huge hype for a while now. When I originally tried Purity in its typical liquid cleanser form I wasn't a fan. I did not like the consistency and I found that it did not take my make up in the way I liked. I saw this Philosophy Purity Bar at my Marshalls on clearance and I decided to give Purity another chance. I had never tried it in a bar soap form. I've realized this is my favorite cleanser to use after I've taken off my make up with a wipe, or even to take my make up off altogether. It lathers nicely, no bubbles, and takes everything off. I'm a theatre student and it even gets off the thickest and cakiest of theatre makeup. This says a LOT, trust me! I love the tight feeling it gives your face after. I say if you're choosing between liquid or bar purity, go for THIS! Love this product!

Tools -Urban Decay - Grind House (sharpener)
rated 5 of 5
Themonsunxxx 5/1/2012 5:45:00 PM

I know it sounds weird to review a pencil sharpener, but hear me out, this one is the BEST. I've had a ton of sharpeners, drugstore to MAC. This Urban Decay sharpener takes the cake. First off, I love the packaging. Urban Decay always has the cutest designs and colors. To the product itself, I've never had a sharpener that would sharpen my creamy pencils without ruining them. This one has never effed up my pencils once! It fits large and skinny pencils, not just Urban Decay pencils! I use it for literally every eye/lip pencil I have and I've never had a problem. Also I love how it stores the shaving in a little compartment so I don't have to stand over a trashcan. If you want a good quality eye pencil sharpener please go check this out!

Lipstick -Clinique - Chubby Stick (all shades)
rated 3 of 5
Themonsunxxx 4/30/2012 8:01:00 PM

I have the chubby stick in the color in Whole Lotta Honey. Its the third picture above. Its a beautiful rosey-nude shade. Its one of my favorite "natural" lip colors. It gives just the right amount of color to my lips with out being over bearing. This color is a beautiful, every day color if you enjoy having color on your lips without being too loud. Its moisturizing, not super opaque in color. Its like a sheer gloss, but still with a tint of color. Its a tad overpriced, but I like it for the quality and the packaging. I would repurchase.

Blush -Maybelline - Dream Bouncy Blush
rated 1 of 5
Themonsunxxx 4/29/2012 9:23:00 PM

I was drawn to the product by its intriguing name. The texture is a mousse-like cream blush. The color selection is great, ranging from brights to natural hues. Now that I've tried this product I'm severely disappointed. The pigmentation is mediocre, barely anything shows up. For those who like minimal makeup or are new, then get this. If not, then you're just wasting your cash in my opinion.

Eyeliner -Rimmel - Exaggerate Full Colour Eye Definer - Noir
rated 4 of 5
Themonsunxxx 4/29/2012 9:20:00 PM

This is definitely one of my favorite drugstore liners. The Rimmel Exaggerate lip liners and eye liners are all exceptional quality when it comes to the creaminess and the wear. This liner of course follows this expectation. This liner wears well both on the waterline and on the upper lid. This is my go-to liner and I have three more back ups, so this is definitely a staple in my collection!

Brows -Wet 'n' Wild - Ultimate Brow Kit
rated 5 of 5
Themonsunxxx 4/29/2012 9:19:00 PM

This brow kit is the best drugstore brow product I've tried hands down. It has two different shades so you custom create your own color to suit your hair color. With my dark brown hair I can find the perfect match to my brow color. The wax itself is the only part I'm just so-so on. Its okay, but I just wish it was formulated a bit better. This product is amazing for the price. Please go out and get it!

Eyeliner -Urban Decay - 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil Perversion
rated 4 of 5
Themonsunxxx 4/29/2012 9:14:00 PM

Everyone raves about this liner and now that I've tried it I understand the hype behind it. I was never a fan of UD Zero so when I heard there was a new black liner they were releasing I was pretty excited. This liner is definitely the darkest, inkiest black pencil liner I have ever tried. The wear is pretty awesome, it doesn't fade easily at all. I think all the hype is well deserved. I do think there are liners at drugstore level at the same quality, so I would not repurchase.
