Tinted Moisturizer -Stila - SPF 30 oil-free tinted moisturizer TM
Supergirl0143 9/20/2010 2:50:00 AM
I really wanted to like this product... in theory, a tinted moisturizer with spf would be great. this claims to be oil free but my face looks horribly greasy after 10-15 mins wearing this. I have tried everything from using primer, to setting with translucent powder. looks great at first, but after 10 mins i'm a greasy shiny mess. I definitely won't be buying this again

Loose Powders -L'Oreal - Hydra Perfecte Loose Powder
Supergirl0143 9/20/2010 2:00:00 AM
great multipurpose loose powder. i apply using large powder brush (the applicator it comes with is terrible) . i like to use this as both a primer and finish. great before makeup or after to set foundation. during the day i dont use foundation so i apply this under bronzer, and makes it look more natural, gives a nice soft finish. great for blending eyeshadow too. i have an oily tzone, this doesnt completely fix that.. but definitely keeps my face from looking shiny. i didnt find it to be glittery or shimmery at all. doesnt break me out or clog pores. its dirt cheap and lasts forever! will definitely buy this again!

Eye Shadow -MAC - Black Tied Eye Shadow
Supergirl0143 9/3/2010 3:17:00 AM
I love this shadow.. Its not intense black, more like a dark gray with shimmery sparkles. It works great for smokey look.. during the day I use it alone as liner along lashline, and when I want a more dramatic look I use it over loreal gel pencil liner. I do always get some fall out, but have made it a habit to place makeup sponge or tissue under eye to catch any fall out during application. Overall its a great shadow and would repurchase again.

Blush -Clinique - Blushing Blush Powder Blush in Cupid
Supergirl0143 9/3/2010 3:02:00 AM
This isnt a terrible blush, but definitely doesnt compare to Nars blushes in my opinion. My all time fave Nars Outlaw was discontinued, and I have since been trying to find a replacement. Had high hopes for this one, as its a lovely neutral shade of pink.. when applied it looks peachy, maybe because of my warm complexion & yellow undertones. I will continue to use it for day time, but definitely will not repurchase.

Misc Beauty Tools -Unlisted Brand - Pretika Sonic Dermabrasion Facial Care System (Clarisonic dupe)
Supergirl0143 9/2/2010 11:13:00 PM
I purchased the Pretika Sonic Dermabrasion brush about 1 year ago, and it is a wonderful product! Like many others, I originally wanted the Clarisonic, but the Pretika seemed to be a great alternative at a very reasonable price. My skin is combination (oily tzone). I dont have sensitive skin, so I use it daily on the lower setting as part of my regular skin care routine.. and once a week on stronger setting to exfoliate. My skin has never been smoother!! Its glowing, and keeps the blackheads away from my nose! I absolutely love it! Ive read a lot of people who complain about the pretika brush dying on them after a short time... I believe that this will happen if u recharge the brush while its wet. Make sure the brush is completely dry before setting back to charge!! Especially the metal charging plates. I even go a step further, and place a plastic ziploc bag over the charging cradle while i wash my face, to make sure i dont splash water on it. If you take care of this brush, it will take care of you!!

Treatments -Aphogee - Keratin and Green Tea Restructurizer
Supergirl0143 9/2/2010 11:00:00 PM
I've been using Aphogee products for a while now, am a huge fan of their 2 Step Treatment and the 2 min Keratin Reconstructor. So after reading rave reviews here and on the hair board I decided to give the Keratin & Green Tea Restucturizer a try. I am really impressed with the results. It leaves my hair shiny but not greasy or weighed down, enhances my natural waves without making them hard or crunchy, and does a good job detangling too. I like using this alone, with just a tiny bit of coconut oil on my ends. If your hair is damaged, over-processed or generally loves protein, I definitely recommend trying this leave-in.

Treatments -Aphogee - Two-Step Protein Treatment (formerly Treatment for Damaged Hair)
Supergirl0143 8/31/2010 10:23:00 PM
This is truly a miracle product! I started using about 8 months ago and has pretty much eliminated breakage & excess shedding. I have thick hair and have been bleaching for almost 8 years.. am amazed I have any hair left at all lol! I'd always see a ton of blonde hair on the bathroom floor, car seat, shower drain, and ofcourse in comb or brush when I blowdry. I would leave a trail of blonde hair where ever I'd go! This product has virtually eliminated shedding/breakage. I get maybe 2-3 strands in comb when I detangle, and no more blonde bundles on floor. I use every 4-6 weeks, immediately after bleaching (before toning). The smell is horrible, application is messy, and the process is very lengthy (takes me about 2 hours). The entire ordeal is a huge P.I.T.A. however the results are amazing and it is definitely worth it if you have chemically processed/bleached/damaged hair. This is definitely HG of protein treatments for me!

Shampoo -Rusk - Sensories Wellness Heal
Supergirl0143 8/31/2010 9:50:00 PM
I absolutely LOVE this shampoo (and the conditioner is wonderful as well). It's sulfate free, lathers up nicely, leaves hair very clean yet doesn't strip it dry as some other sulfate free shampoo's have done (Giovanni SAS & 50/50 dried my hair out horribly) It's got Argan oil and other moisturizing ingredients which really leave my hair feeling silky smooth, but not coated (no 'cones, which I love!) The scent is fresh but not overpowering. Its gentle, yet very effective. I have been using it for a few months now and absolutely LOVE IT! Definitely my HG sulfate free poo! For reference my hair is 2b/c, wavy, thick, double processed (bleach/tone), occasionally straightened.

Conditioner -Unlisted Brand - Roux - Porosity Control Corrector Conditioner
Supergirl0143 8/19/2010 10:05:00 PM
I love this stuff. It restores the ph balance in hair before and after chemical process, and reduces porosity. Wonderful product when it comes to bleached hair. Been using this for several years and absolutely love it. The way I use it is, 1 day before bleaching... rinse my hair (no shampoo) apply porosity control corrector/conditioner, leave on for 1-2 mins, rinse. Then I air dry, using no styling products only Extra Virgin Coconut Oil. Next day I apply Coconut Oil as pre-bleach treatment, leave on for 60 min then proceed to bleaching (Ion Color Brilliance Powder Lightener & Ion Sensitive Scalp 30 vol developer). After rinsing bleach, I apply Porosity Control Corrector/Conditioner, leave on for a min or 2, rinse and then shampoo and proceed to Aphogee 2 Step Protein Treatment. Followed by deep conditioning. (The whole touch-up process of bleaching/protein/deep conditioning takes me a full day so I usually wait a day or 2 before toning.) Porosity Control Corrector/Conditioner is a wonderful product... I always keep a bottle in my stash and highly recommend this to anyone with chemically processed hair =) EDIT: Took off 1 lippie... Just tried the new formula and it has a very old lady perfume type smell. The old formula (pale blue color) used to smell great! I still love the results, and will continue to use.

Eyeliner -L'Oreal - Extra-Intense Liquid Pencil Eyeliner
Supergirl0143 8/19/2010 1:04:00 AM
I have always been a liquid liner girl... Pencil liners never had the same staying power for me. Thanks to allergies and oily skin, I always end up looking like a panda bear with black stuff all over my face within an hour or 2. Then while searching through liquid liner reviews, I stumbled upon reviews for this liner. Went to Walmart and was so sad to see they were sold out.. Then I found a set in the mascara section, a package with the Collagen Volume Mascara & Liquid Pencil Liner, both for only $10! Havent tried the mascara, as i still have CG Lashblast... but the eyeliner is absolutely amazing!!!!!! I could not believe the smudge test. it really just STAYS ON! It even stays on after working out at the gym. This is just as good if not better than liquid/gel liners.. felt tip liquid liners are always great when brand new, but after using them a while they get all frayed which makes application difficult. This liner looks just as intense as liquid liner does, very dark pigmented, and when it dulls just sharpen up and its good as new! I have definitely found my new HG eyeliner!

Lipstick -Revlon - colorstay smooth nude
Supergirl0143 7/30/2010 3:52:00 AM
I am a longtime fan of nude lipsticks. this is by far the best drugstore nude i have tried! it is very pigmented, stays on for hours yet does not cake up or dry my lips. i do usually apply a bit of lip balm before applying any kind of lipstick, just because my lips are usually dry. it has a nice satin finish, not quite matte but definitely not shiny. wears very well under lipgloss. this is just as good as my usual MAC faves.. blankety, myth, gel and honeylove. wish the packaging was a little better, but cant really complain considering how good the price is! will definitely repurchase.
