Concealers -Everyday Minerals - Mint Concealer
rated 3 of 5

I actually really like this product, serves its purpose in covering redness... but it does not blend as well as i like it to. This also does not stay on all day (I don't use face primer only finish powder). This works pretty well in covering blemishes, I noticed it doesn't emphasize the bump of my pimple like my cream concealer but neutralizes the colour. Definitely don't need to repurchase again... because this little sample probably would last me a life time.

Eye Shadow -Revlon - Illuminance Creme Shadow Quad - Not Just Nudes
rated 3 of 5
SummerDew 12/6/2008 6:22:00 AM

I haven't had too much trouble with this shadow creasing... However it does not last all day alone... so a primer would need to be used... Eventhough I have brushes to use for these cream shadows, i still end up using my fingers to blend, which I prefer not to... Not really a big fan out the colour selection in this quad... Some how the tone isn't that complimentary to my asian skin tone. I think these browns in this quad has red/orangey undertone that's why it doesnt really work for me. kinda emphasizes the red/dark circles under my eye.. therefore concealer/foundation is needed for cover up well under eye before using this palette.

Cleansers -L'Oreal - Skin Genesis Pore Minimizing Gel Cleanser [DISCONTINUED]
rated 3 of 5
SummerDew 12/4/2008 9:32:00 AM

This product main ingredient is sodium laurel sulfate, which is a detergent and too much of is not good for the skin. On top of that it contains menthol, which gives you the tingly feeling after you wash your skin, but is irritating. My skin is normal-dry and although I did not experience any apparent negative outcome from using this product, irritations can trigger long term non-visible damage instead of immediate. I notice my skin is a little dry after washing but with a good moisturizer that didn't bother me. It is also an excellent make up remover, because of the high concentrate of detergent in this product. I also like that it removes eye make up very well without being irritating to the eye. Overall won't purchase this again because of irritating ingredients in this product but removes make up really well.

Mascara -Lancome - Hypnose
rated 4 of 5
SummerDew 11/26/2008 4:58:00 AM

Out of all the mascaras I`ve tried I have to say this is the best one so far, not that it makes a dramatic difference since my asian lashes are short, sparse and don't hold curls well. I found that Lancome mascara seem to have a slight longer dry time than other ones I've tried, which is great for applying more coats without clumping. I say this is definently better than the lancome l`extreme and definicils at making a difference in my lashes. Even though this is the best mascara I've tried so far, it still doesn't hold my curls for the whole day and does not show enough difference on me for me to wear it regularly. Won`t repurchase again because i`m still in search for the best dramatic mascara, on my stubborn asian lashes.

Mascara -Lancome - Cils Booster
rated 3 of 5
SummerDew 11/26/2008 4:33:00 AM

I usually don't bother with mascara because I have asian sparse and short lashes. My lashes also doesn't hold up curls well. I got this sample and honestly I think this product is overrated. I didn't notice a dramatic difference using this primer and without it... Something I can just skip and just put mascara on.

Bronzers -Physicians Formula - Baked Pyramid Matte Bronzer - Tan
rated 5 of 5
SummerDew 11/26/2008 4:00:00 AM

I have this in the shade baked bronze, which is darker than the tan. I love it simple as that. No shimmer, which is is great since it gives a more natural finish. Just the right shade for my fair-medium yellow undertone skin (NC37). I use it as a contour and it works well, probably need a darker shade for the summer though. My friend has darker skin tone uses as a finish powder/foundation. So I guess it works both ways depending on your skin tone! I haven't tried it wet, because the intensity is just right for me when it's dry. I hate the cheap packaging, when i open the pan i tend to screw up and dig my figures into the product and also the lid fell off! but it's still a great basic bronzer!

Loose Powders -L'Oreal - Bare Naturale Soft-Focus Mineral Finish
rated 3 of 5
SummerDew 10/26/2008 4:05:00 AM

I use this everyday alone on my face. I have fairly good skin so I don't need heavy coverage. I would have to say this product is mediocre, i don't like that it's a loose powder because it can get messy in application. I use the brush in the packaging, the brush isn't too shabby at all though. However this product doesn't last on my face the whole day and doesn't help to keep my bronzer/blush on my face. I guess you can bring it around for touch ups but the fact that it's a loose powder makes it inconvenient since it gets messy. One thing that I really dislike the most about this product and their mineral foundation is the smell. It smells like metal on my face, don't like initial smell that i have endure while wearing it.

Cleansers -Olay - Olay Smooth Skin Cream Scrub
rated 5 of 5
SummerDew 10/15/2008 3:19:00 AM

It has gentle microbeads that aren't too harsh or drying on the skin so good for everyday use. However, not a great make up remover, but okay for removal of light make up. (still has residue left over from my mac fluidline and a bit from face powder, but whatever i use eye makeup remover and toner to remove anyways) It has salicyclic acid, which is good for blemish treatment. I can see that it isn't a miracle worker so it won't zap pimples away the next day but it does slowly remove pimples and prevent future ones from forming. I have been using this for 2 months and haven't seen a single pimple yet. My skin isn't very pimply in the first place, but before I used to break out one or two pimples every 3 weeks or so... I have slight black and white heads on my nose... and it is slowly showing difference , especially the removal in white heads. Overall great product, not harsh on skin and can see results in the long continual use of this product. However I'm not much of a fan for the smell of the product, but it's not a terrible smell though.

Styling Products -Aussie - Sydney Smooth Heat Protector and Leave In Conditioner
rated 3 of 5
SummerDew 8/24/2008 2:55:00 PM

This isn't a miracle product... I really didn't notice any physical difference from using this spray vs. not using it = no evidence of being more smoother. However from anaylyzing it's ingredients, it didn't contain any glycerin or propylene glycol that can prevent water evaporation. Thus, it's not very effective in protecting against blowdrying hair, which I do mainly. However it does contain cetrimonium chloride, which is good against protecting against ironing, which i occasionally do.... I don't think i'll buy this product again, since it doesn't have the ingredients to protect from blowdrying, I'm gonna try other sprays out.

Blush -Everyday Minerals - All Smiles
rated 4 of 5
SummerDew 8/17/2008 5:12:00 PM

I got this as a sampler and this is going to last a very long time for me... A little of this product goes a long way for my fair slightly leaning to medium skin tone... Very pigmented so have to be very careful in application in order to not look like you got a sunburn. I love this shade on my cheeks it's the perfect peach/pink combo shade. I use this coral shade almost everyday, my fav blush so far... This is a great shade for fair to medium warm skin-tones. However I don't really like loose powders because it's hard to control application and messy, so took off a star for that.

Eye Shadow -Annabelle - Eye Dust
rated 4 of 5
SummerDew 8/17/2008 2:06:00 AM

I have 2 shades golden pink and azure. Not a fan of the gold pink tone, even though it gives a very pretty swatch, it doesn't work on the face because it's too shimmery and doesn't show up on the eye that much... but I the newly bought azure (blue) is so pretty! It gives a pretty shimmery blue swatch (no irredescent of a different colour)! Even applying it dry on the eye it shows just about the right colour, haven't tried it wet yet but it'll be even more prettier with intensity. The price is alright $7 at regular price. But I wouldn't consider picking one up till it goes on sale at $5... but lucky enough I got it for free because the person at shoppers forgot to scan this before putting it in the bag, and i walked out without knowing till later. haha lucky me.

Eye Shadow -Annabelle - Eye Dust - Golden Pink
rated 3 of 5
SummerDew 8/17/2008 1:40:00 AM

I got 2 of these shades.. one in azure (blue) and this one, which is a pink tone with a gold irredescent as the name suggests. I love this shade it gives a very pretty swatch. I found that I have minimal uses for it and it finds its way tucked in a storage along with make up, I hardly use. It's too sheer to show up on the eyes, and it's too shimmery for the face. However it looks quite nice on the lips, gives a lovely gold frost to glossy lips, however I find it hard to spread on the without it emphasizing the lines on my lips. Not worth the time... might as well buy a gloss with gold frost to it. Well this pigment is very multi-functional but does not serve better than my already existing products that are directly used for the purpose of eyes, lips, and face.

Eyes -Quo - Liquid Liner
rated 2 of 5
SummerDew 7/22/2008 4:18:00 AM

I have this liner in black. i'm not pro at putting liquid eyeliner on, but i'm alright... but i find this one particular difficult to put on. and when do i have it on the black's just too too dark and harsh of a colour to make it flow naturally with my top lashes. I also find it stinging my eyes and at the end of the day i find it slipping into the corner of my eyes (*IN* the corner, NOT around but on my eye! so i have black gulk on my eye). Also i hardly use this, and i find that a couple of bristles is coming out of my brush. Most definently not buying this again.

Lip Gloss -Revlon - Super Lustrous Lip Gloss (general)
rated 3 of 5
SummerDew 7/15/2008 11:01:00 PM

This product is just average for me. I have this in natural lustre. This lipgloss shows up with a more than expected amount of colour. It doesn't have a smell and its not very long lasting, which is comparable to other lipglosses. I like Marcelle Lux lip gloss better because its more translucent therefore you can play around with your lipstick and lipglosses together to create a new shade. It's okay can't say I hate it or love it.

Lip Gloss -Marcelle - LUX
rated 4 of 5
SummerDew 7/15/2008 10:53:00 PM

I love these lip glosses they are slightly translucent so it works great to add a tint on top of the lipstick colour. I wear my revlon colourstay in natural cashmere and wear one of these lipglosses on top and the colour comes out so nice! i love it! I tried 3 of their shades serenade, passion and sorbet. I love passion and serenade, even though it looks dark/very intense in the bottle in comes out just the right amount of colour. I mean don't forget these are sheer translucent glosses so even if looks dark in the bottle it comes out significantly lighter than what it suggests. I didn't like sorbet though gave a nice glossy finish but did not bring that multi-dimensional luminance that the other 2 gave. Also sorbet didn't have a good colour payoff that i expected, so kind of disapointed in that one. I find it a tad expensive for a drugstore product. However certain shades like passion and especially serenade are really good. For colours like passion and serenade you can wear it over a lipstick or even alone and it will still look good but for sorbet, a lipstick as a base colour would be better before putting the gloss over.
