Bath Treatments -Unlisted Brand - Blue- Sparkling Sea Pebble
rated 5 of 5

Blue's Sparkling Sea Pebble is a small tablet-shaped bath "fizzy". It's too small to be called a "bomb", but does the job of a bomb several times its size. Run your bath, settle in, then drop in the Pebble. It sends up a small column of bubbles as it colours the water a deep Mediterranean blue. And it smells divine, very ocean/beach-y. Each Pebble contains essentials oils (lemon zest, mint, patchouli) and "extracted sea water" containing minerals. I love these little babies, and try to treat myself to a Sea Pebble bath once a week. They retail for $2. to $2.50 US each, and can be found at the company's site, spablue.com, or whosthefairest.com.

Lotions/ Creams -Yves Rocher - Voile de Joie Iridescent Perfumed Body Lotion
rated 3 of 5

This body lotion is part of the Ode à la Joie fragrance line of "Emotions" fragrances by Yves Rocher. The scent is soft and citrusy, with notes of orange, lemon and jasmine, among others. When I read that the body lotion was iridescent, I pictured a pearly, shimmery finish. Um, no. The white lotion feels slightly gritty during application, and leaves small squares of green glitter in its wake. Not quite what I was expecting. I'm not a glittery gal, so I have to be careful to apply it at night, so the cast-off glitter only ends up on bedsheets and nightgown. It's a shame, as the scent is pretty and lingers lightly. I wish they offered a non-glittery body lotion in this line, but they don't. In fact, all of the Emotion lotions are "iridescent". Too bad. The product lists for $13.50 Canadian for 200 ml. I purchased it at half price during an introductory special.

Lip Gloss -MAC - Lipglass Stain- Low Light Silver
rated 5 of 5

Low Light Silver Lipglass Stain, introduced in MAC's Colour Scheme colour story, is a gorgeous pale dusty pink shot with fine silver shimmer. It's icy without being brash, so it's appropriate for day or night. I'm very fair (NC15), and wear this over a plummy or natural pink lipliner for a subtle polished gleam. It's also wonderful as a highlight over Syrup lipstick, a soft mauvey pink.

Lip Gloss -Yves Rocher - Glossy Lips
rated 4 of 5

YR's liquid brush-on lipstick has good pigmentation and shine. I have Rose Splash, a cool rich mauve-rose. What makes the shade unique is its bluish opalescence -- great for a full lush lower lip. The product has a floral-ish scent, which can be a drawback for some. It doesn't bother me too much, but I'm aware of it when it's on my lips. Glossy Lips retails for $10. Canadian, but YR often has half-price or 2-for-1 specials, so you're likely to find it much cheaper.
