Very diluted compared to the original with the hawthorn, heliotrope and sweet notes stripped off. Didnt seem to last long either. But great for those who like their fragrances light and close to the skin.
Very generic scent along the lines of flowerbomb (weaker) and Coco Mlle. If these are your kind of scents then you will like this.
Along the lines of Jimmy Choo, Flowerbomb (but weaker), Aura, Angel (but not heavy patch and sweetness). I didnt seem to get a similarlty with Lolita Lempicka as noted by some reviewers on Fragratica. Generic and boring...yawn but can see this being popular as well!
Diluted caramel scent nothing special. I can use a drop of my CO Bigelow Vanilla oil leave on my skin overnight and the dry down will be similar to a freshly sprayed Prada Candy except the Vanilla oil would still be stronger! Prada Candy hardly lasts or you need to sniff your wrists literally like a dog (sorry) to smell a faint scent. The bottle is glam! Update: 15/09/11 Okay i re tried and upgraded to 3 lips. Had this had more of waft going on then would increase to 4 lips. After 2 hrs it is close to the skin and caramel musky. I agree that it dries down similar to Un Bois de Vanille.
Definately a HG amber for the winter - though i use in the summer as it is so irresistable more so in the evening! My next fav is Auric Blends Amber which is more dilute in comparison but this also lasts all day on my skin. Whilst this is easier to apply, the Amber Paste is viscous and limited to a small area on the skin unless diluted. To me Amber Paste is very spicy gingery clovey hot fragrance! It smells hot - temparature wise if that makes sense (as well as sexy hot)! One day my mum used a dab and the man at the grocery shop looked amazed with his eyes wide open as though he smelt something divine and was on cloud 9! I witnessed all this whilst waiting outside in the car. Since then mum is addicted to it and finally understands my perfume obsession lol!!!! Amber paste on my skin is a concentrated version of Auric Blends Amber on my skin. Update: 27th July 2012 I am still in love with this beauty!! Smells divine when layered with KM Arabian Sandalwood and also with Samsara.
Wow what a pretty bottle and presentation! I expected the juice to be amazing for this reason! I had an older edt bottle of Shalimar which had the similar spade shape bottle as Shalimar Initial. Shalimar was reformulated in edt with the current newer shaped bottle. My older Shalimar had strong notes of opoponax and thats what Shalimar Initial reminds me of. As though the majority of vanilla and powder have been removed and your left with an incomplete and deprived Shalimar (if that makes sense) - smell it and you may sort of understand. If you like fragrances with the vintage musty vibe then you may be pleasantly surprised. Even though i'm not a Shalimar fan i definately prefer this to Shalimar Initial which made me gag both on paper and on my skin. Typical that those that i find are scrubbers last for ages!!! But the bottle.....its so gorgeous.......
Sweet Darling Dazzling (SDD) is in the same 'Darling' range of bottles. This one is pretty - purple with glittery bits. It is a grape like scent. Though generic but pleasant. I sprayed SDD on a card yesterday but ran out of space on my skin. I immediately thought mmmm this is nice. Very simple non complex (which i like with fragrances). I like this the best compared to Darling, Sexy Darling and Sweet Darling. This reminds me of blueberry/grape type scents that have a juice/cordial vibe. Fans of BS Midnight Fantasy and Escada Moonsparkle should try this.
I actually wanted to rate this as 4.5. The bottle is white and the same shape of the CK one. Then a shocking pink graffiti is written over the front as 'Shock'. It seems quite odd on first impression and i guess for some it may be off putting to try.....however the scent itself is not shocking! It is sweet and girly again smelling generic and familiar but i really like this. It smells of sherbet sweets and is very sugary without any heady vanilla or caramel notes (to my nose). Lots of sweet smelling scent have sharp fruit notes - like BS Fantasy with its kiwi note. If you like Fantasy, PH Can Can and uncomplicated sweet scents then do try this. Now that i think about it as i write, CK Shock in fact shocks me as a fragrance that is very different to previous ones produced in the CK range.
I absolutely adore this bottle and the shade of a caramel pink colour. The fragrance itself is quite different from the original Sensuous which is woody. Sensuous Nude is white floral and musky. I think its the muguet that kills it for me. Initially i felt a little nauseas but after two hours it has settled and melted into my skin like a skin scent. If you like Elle by YSL then you may like this too. Immediately thoughts of Elle came to mind when i smelt Sensous Nude. Even Bronze Goddess lovers should try this (just realised thats within the same brand!). This perfume is not my type but those into musky florals and gardenia type scents should try.
A very well written review above. I noticed this bottle at Boots not far from my work place. The bottle is gorgeous like the edp one for Coco Mlle and the green colour juice is lovely and summery green eau de parfum. As much as i expected magic this appeared to have a strange synthetic smell on the paper and on my skin. I hope that as i'm not a chypre fan and that chypres are not wonderful on me that it will be an amazing experience for others. For this reason i have rated it just above average. After re sniffing the tester strip i was pretty sure that i wanted to discard it and i did. I can imagine though that this will be a lovely green powdery scent with the right skin chemistry.
Midnight Bakula is described on TBS site: "Enchanting and captivating, our Midnight Bakula fragrance features notes of juicy nectarine, delicate rose and patchouli. Family: white floral Features: Uplifting fragrance Notes of juicy nectarine, delicate rose and patchouli" The SA kindly brought the tester for me to try (was not out on display). The scent appears to last quite long though it was on the back of my hand i would need to re-test as washed my hand afterwards but the scent lingered. It is fresh light patchouli fragrance which to my nose smelt unisex leaning towards the feminine side. Great for those who prefer less sweetness in their fragrances. A 50ml botttle is £15.00 and the shape is compact and square - i was tempted to purchase. I am looking forward to trying their Rose Oud perfume which hopefully should be released in most stores in London by the end of the month (so i haved been told by TBS SA). Nevertheless both Midnight Bakula and Rose Oud are available online. The great thing is that the Middle East fragrances tend to last long. Update (18.08.11): I re tried and found very strong on patch and citrus. If you like Euphoria and imagine it is mixed with Coco Mlle then you may like it. The body cream also is very strong therefore lippies down graded to three.

Just adding a review here. Very briefly tried Ambre Orient as i was blown away and besotted by Rose D'Arabie. Ambre Orient is a rich, deep and resinous amber - one of the finest amber fragrances i have tried. From Fragrantica: "Armani launches new perfumes of the Privé collection in November 2010. The collection is named "La Collection des Mille et une Nuits," inspired by the medieval Arabic tales from 1001 nights. These three new heute couture perfumes depict the exotic mystery of the Orient with its warm, spicy and woody notes on the subject of rose, oud and amber. Armani Privé La Collection des Mille et une Nuits includes three perfumes: Oud Royal, Ambre Orient and Rose d'Arabie. The fragrances are exclusively designed for the Middle East market and are made as imitations of their traditional perfumery and local ingredients".

Rose d'Arabie to me is a delicious blend of damask rose, saffron, oud and cinamon. I would never have noticed the patchouli. If an Arabian princess wore a perfume then this would be it.... Ambre Orient is another one to try for amber lovers rich and resinous - oner of the best ambers i have tried. I wanted to add a new review and since i cannot do justice to it i have copied from fragratica below: Armani launches new perfumes of the Privé collection in November 2010. The fragrances are exclusively designed for the Middle East market and are made as imitations of their traditional perfumery and local ingredients. Rose d'Arabie combines Damascus rose with patchouli, vanilla and Arab woods. It is packed in a black glass bottle decorated with a golden stopper.
Agree this is similar to L by Lolita Lempicka.
I tried this cologne on and it was like a tangy sweet yoghurt drink on my skin (called lassi). I found it quite sickly but from the reviews below i will re-try, though i'm pretty sure i wont like it if i didn't this time.
