Eye Shadow -Clinique - Chocolate Kiss Duo-Spring 2008

Super warm toned pinks when used alone make you look like you have pink eye, but try these as blend out shades used individually and they are gorgeous especially for a sultry smokey eye blend into smokey black liner and shadow for an amazing look. These are good alternatives to shades like MAC 'soft brown' and 'Kid' or Benefit 'soft shoulder' if you want less orange in your blending tones.

Adore the darkest almost warm black berry burgandy chocolate brown shade in this it's a dream for green eyes worth a 5 for this colour alone!

Eye Shadow -Milani - Touch of Brown Quad

Even though I only use the beautiful bronze and metallic purpley grey shade in this and never touch the horrid mustard shade or the shimmery glittery gold highlighter this is still a great bargain purchase and value for money. These two shades make for a great evening eye which makes my amber green eyes pop. Wonderful texture and the packaging is wonderfully 90's it cracks me up though I know others dislike the milani packaging I think it's cute.

Blush -Revlon - Powder Blush - Sandalwood Beige

Come on Revlon I am NW10 and this doesn't even show up on my skin. Who exactly is this designed for? With more pigment this would be an amazing contour shade for those who avoid bronzers like the plague but this is just terribly unpigmented like all your blushes.

Blush -Clinique - Soft-Pressed Powder Blusher in Mocha Pink
rated 4 of 5
Shanplum 1/24/2013 3:32:00 PM

Mocha pink is the perfect balance of beige brown and pink. Please note I am not a wearer of pink or bricky tones as I am incredibly pale this is the most perfect inbetween shade which lends itself to all colourways - i.e great with a bronzer in summer and great when wearing plumtones/deep purple smokey looks in the colder months. Only gripe is the classic clinique cakey skin that forms on the product, all their blushes are prone to this but it is easily fixed with a bit of scraping.

Lipstick -Elizabeth Arden - Ceramide Plump Perfect Lipstick - Perfect Bare
rated 4 of 5

Gorgeous bronzey golden rose with mauve undertones. Darker than you would expect but a glamourous nude pink that will never date nonetheless in classic Elizabeth Arden style.

Liquid -Revlon - Age Defying with DNA Advantage Cream Makeup

Bare buff in this was the most fabulous colour and texture for my super pale yellowy skin however no matter how lovely it was it caused chronic dermatitis which is very rare of a Revlon product for me. Sadly I cannot use this

Foundations -Revlon - Custom Creations Foundation [DISCONTINUED]
rated 4 of 5
Shanplum 11/15/2012 11:55:00 PM

This is a fantastic foundation - it provides almost full coverage and its neat being able to change your shade up and down as necessary - be it a bit gimmicky it does work and there are only two shades to be mixed and unfortunately I am the palest shade on the dial so I am only getting 15ml of useable product out of the 30ml bottle for my money but I picked it up cheap and am a happy camper to keep this aside for nights out and days where I require heavy coverage which isn't too often. The best thing is this is super pale and yellow toned not pink like I thought it would be.

Lipstick -Estee Lauder - Pure Color Crystal Lipstick in Crystal Coral
rated 5 of 5

A gorgeous pinky peachy orangey sheer lipstick which just warms the complexion and gives a healthy glow such a lovely shade and texture just like all the Estee Lauder lipsticks - you get what you pay for.

Lip Liners -Maybelline - Moisture Whip lipliner in Toast
rated 4 of 5
Shanplum 11/15/2012 11:40:00 PM

One of the smoothest to apply pencil lip liners I have ever found and the colour is the best neutral pinky peach I have ever come across without being orange or too mauve. What a shame this has been discontinued.

Concealers -Jane - No Show oil-free concealer
rated 5 of 5
Shanplum 11/15/2012 11:37:00 PM

Shame this line is discontinued. I have this in the wand format. The shade Fair is incredibly pale and matches my super fair skin amazingly unlike any other concealer and the coverage is flawless. This is actually very similar in texture to an older formula of Estee Lauders concealers though they were the same company so probably same formulas different packaging.

Mascara -Estee Lauder - More Than Mascara
rated 4 of 5
Shanplum 11/15/2012 6:03:00 PM

This is a fantastic mascara - a classic case of you get what you pay for. If you are willing to fork out a huge chunk of cash this is fantastic - a classic style brush (unlike all the silicone/plastic brushes of late) which lifts, volumises and lengthens. My only complaint is it's not very black (more of a dark grey) and it is prone to flaking if you build layers. But as a daily duty mascara it is very good.

Mascara -L'Oreal - Voluminous Million Lashes
rated 5 of 5
Shanplum 11/15/2012 5:58:00 PM

This is the best mascara I have ever used. I thought Maybellines the Collosal and Estee Lauder's More than Mascra were on the best on the market and gave me false looking lashes but this is amazing even just one coat on uncurled lashes the effect is amazing.

Misc Beauty Tools -Unlisted Brand - Manicare Eyelash Curlers
rated 5 of 5
Shanplum 10/24/2012 12:05:00 AM

A great eyelash curler for $12.50 NZ at your local pharmacy - even comes with a replacement pad. Does the job without pulling or pinching like some others I have tried as it fits the eye well. Can't go wrong with these.

Eye Shadow -Estee Lauder - Pure Color Eye Shadow- Berry Ice
rated 5 of 5
Shanplum 10/23/2012 2:27:00 AM

This is the strangest colour - a almost dark fushia with heaps of frost like something Estee Lauder would have brought out in the 80's you think it would be awful but it seems to be quite neutral when applied and looks fabulous paired with bronze and black shadows it just sets of my hazel eyes like nothing else.
