Polishes -Essie - Cute As A Button
rated 4 of 5

Beautiful color! I also really like the brush, its the perfect size and shape. However, like all other Essie polishes I own this started chipping after a day. I have to reapply everyday. Not a bad product, but I had expected more from it. Edit: If I use two really thin coats and no top coat they last a week on the nail. I still take one lippie off because I find it a bit hard to apply without streaking.

Lipstick -MAC - Russian Red

I'm a big fan of MAC lipsticks but unfortunately I find this too drying. The color is absolutely beautiful but if I need to reapply during the day it feels really thick on my lips, almost like a mask. I wear it from time to time anyway because it's a perfect red.

Love! One of my HG lipsticks of all time! It's a brilliant natural, everyday lipstick that goes with everything! It applies evenly, lasts a long time on the lips and doesn't dry me out. Also, the scent is delicious! I couldn't ask for anything more in a lipstick. Go buy!

Eye Shadow -Yves Saint Laurent - Ombres 5 Lumieres - 4 lilac sky
rated 4 of 5
PhatMuffin 3/25/2012 5:56:00 PM

The colors are really nice and popping, beautiful purples! When that is said I wished for a little more pigmentation i the lighter shades, they come out a little bit to sheer for my taste. Also it requires a steady hand when applied, because like all the other YSL palettes they can end up looking a little muddy if you don't blend carefully. If the formula was a bit softer or creamier I don't think that that would have been a problem, but like I said, if you apply carefully you end up with a gorgeous lilac look that stays solid the entire day!

I don't understand why this receives so many bad reviews! I found it easy to apply, It's buildable, has a long staying power and it looks natural. I like the scent and the bottle looks really classy. I have some dry patches but it covered them with no problem! Will definitely buy this again.

Eye Shadow -The Body Shop - Shimmer cubes palette 06
rated 5 of 5
PhatMuffin 3/25/2012 5:23:00 PM

These cubes are really something! Really easy to apply and blend, and the lasting power is really good, this looks great the entire day! Also, you get so much product, I've had mine for years now. Also I think this is the only palette I have that I actually use every color, they are so natural and chic and goes with everything! I can't seem to find anything bad to say about this palette, except that the small lids breaks quite easily, but I did lose them to the floor so I guess that ones on me.

Liquid -The Body Shop - Moisture Foundation SPF 15
rated 1 of 5
PhatMuffin 3/25/2012 5:15:00 PM

I'm always really satisfied with makeup from The Body Shop but this is probably the worst foundation I have tried. It does not stick to my chin, forehead or nose at all! The only place it stuck was on my eyebrows. It's weird, because when I first apply it it feels really thick, almost like a mask, but when I massage it in to my skin it's like it disappears! I have tried with my fingers, sponges and brushes but I have never been able to apply this evenly. Too bad, because the packaging is great and the color really suits my skin.

Conditioner -LUSH - R&B Revive & Balance Hair Moisturizer
rated 5 of 5

This stuff is amazing! The first time I tried it I didn't like it at all because it made my hair really greasy. If you experience this it's because you're using too much product! A little goes a looong way with this one, I only have to dip the tip of my little finger to get the right amount. Massage or crunch this into your tips when the hair is still damp and let it work wonders! I also use this as a hair mask in the evening and sleeps with it on the entire night. After I wash my hair the next morning it's super soft and fragrant. When I use this regularly I don't have to cut my hair that often. Amazing!

Moisturizers -LUSH - Enzymion
rated 5 of 5
PhatMuffin 3/25/2012 4:54:00 PM

This stuff is great! I can really see a difference on my T-zone, it's much less oily, has smaller pores and less dark spots. I have never tried a moisturizer that made that much of a difference! I'm from Norway and the winters can be quite harsh here. I tend to get dry patches, so when it's cold I use Imperialis instead. I switch to Enzymion as soon as I can because it's the best moisturizer for oily skin I've ever tried. It smells divine, unlike many of Lush's moisturizers. It's one of their more expensive creams though, but still worth the price if you have oily skin and tried everything else. Only downside is that the lid is a bit leaky (this goes for all Lush pots), a lot of product ends up in the crease between the lid and the pot and makes it look really messy! This annoys me so much that I don't bring Lush pots with me when I travel.

Treatments (Eye) -LUSH - Enchanted Eye Cream
rated 5 of 5
PhatMuffin 3/25/2012 4:31:00 PM

I don't feel that this cream did much about the dark circles around my eyes but it's really calming and moisturizing. I wake up every morning with puffy eyelids, but when I massage them in with this cream they go back back to their normal shape within a minute! Amazing! It actually doesn't say anything on the bottle about preventing dark circles or wrinkles, it says that it is a calming, nutritious and soothing cream for tired and puffy eyes. I understand that people (including myself) might want more from this product but I can't blame them when it does exactly what it says on the label. However the ingredient list does have a lot of the same oils that they use in their moisturizer for mature skin, "Skins Shangri'La", so I assume the cream also helps preventing wrinkles. Overall an excellent eye cream for sore, puffy eyes that needs extra moisture. Also, I've had mine for a year now and I have a lot of product left! Worth every penny, I think.

Pressed Powders -H & M - Compact Powder - 14. Country Beige
rated 1 of 5
PhatMuffin 3/25/2012 3:32:00 PM

I have oily skin and this didnt stay on me at all! All of it sort of landed on the corners of my jaw and forehead and none of it sticked to the places I need coverage. Some of the makeup from H&M are pretty decent and I have purchased it over and over, but this really disappointed me. Also, It didnt come with an applicator and I would never bother walking around with a brush in my purse.

Polishes -H & M - Nail Polish (in general)
rated 4 of 5
PhatMuffin 3/25/2012 3:16:00 PM

A typical "you get what you pay for" product. Loads of nice colors that lasts a decent amount of time on my nails without flaking, but takes a long time to dry and some of the colors are really streaky and hard to apply, others however only need one coat. Nothing wrong with these but nothing extraordinary either. I have five and use them frequently because some of the colors are really, really nice.

Lipstick -Clinique - Chubby Stick (all shades)
rated 5 of 5
PhatMuffin 3/23/2012 6:34:00 PM

I always have something on my lips so this is perfect when I want a natural look or for work. It's really moisturizing, not too shiny, applies evenly and lasts a long time. My lips look super soft and natural. Finally a product that mastered the moisture/color issue! I use this instead of chap stick, it's that moisturizing!

Lips -Yves Saint Laurent - Rouge Pur Couture Glossy Stain (All Shades)
rated 5 of 5
PhatMuffin 3/20/2012 4:17:00 PM

Best lip product I've ever used! It stays on forever and you can't even feel it. Seriously, no dry or tight lips even after hours! When you put it on it feels kinda watery but after a couple of seconds it sets on the lips giving you a natural glossy look. It looks like something between a lipstick and a gloss but it feels like a balm. After 5 hours at work I checked it out in the mirror and it looked exactly like when I put it on. It comes in a great range of colors, from nude pinks to hot reds. Number 15 has become my HG of lip products and I always have it in my bag. I would recommend this to everyone, but maybe especially those who thinks a lipstick is too drying and that a gloss simply doesn't last long enough on the lips. It has everything I've ever longed for in a lip product! Definitely on my list of the 5 best makeup products of all time.
