Polishes -China Glaze - For Audrey

I absolutely LOVE the color of this polish. I was so excited to try it on. It goes nice with my skin tone and I feel it's a fun but yet classy color. My reasoning for only 3 lippies is because of the application and the formula. This so far has been the only China Glaze nail polish I have used so I'm not sure if it is just this one with this texture. It is super thick and kinda gloopy, which makes it really difficult to apply in my opinion. Also, i was hoping one coat would do with this nail polish but after the first you could still see my nail underneath. You need at least 2-3 coats. Probably 3 for the best color, but it is so thick that it doesn't look very good the more coats you apply. I'm hoping I don't have this experience with other China Glaze polishes. EDIT: After using this polish again, it applied better, so I'm giving another lippie.

Lipstick -Maybelline - Color Sensational 165 Pink of Me

This is one of my newest additions to my lipstick collection, and when I seen it in the tube I automatically thought the color was gorgeous, and it IS! It looks great with my skin tone and hair color. The reason for the 4 lippies is due to the application of this lipstick. It's not creamy at all so it kind of tugs your lips when putting it on. I'd say that you must put a gloss or some sort of butter over this lipstick otherwise your lips will feel very dry and it just doesn't have the same effect. Besides the non creamy texture of this lipstick, which is not a big deal to me and with gloss the lipstick looks amazing, I love this lipstick and would recommend it! Another thing, this lipstick lasts a very long time!

Mascara -Maybelline - Volum' Express The Falsies

There are a lot of mixed reviews on this product and I have both pros and cons about it. I will first mention that the product does in fact get better with age, which is weird and not something that I was too impressed with. The formula is very wet when you first get it, so you really have to be careful when applying it because even blinking too soon can get black dots on your face. It was also a bit clumpy at first. I could ever only apply one coat. More than that would just look too messy. After about a week or two the product dries a bit and I found it easier to apply. It separated my lashes more and lengthened them more as well. I did like this product for a while but I think you can find something better out there. This product works differently for everyone and it was definitely not the worst mascara I've tried. I probably would re-purchase.

Blush -BeneFit Cosmetics - Coralista

When I first got this blush, i was super excited because I had heard so many great things about it. When I first applied it to my cheeks, I was a little disappointed because it seemed too sheer and I was expecting this blush to be quite pigmented. I blame the lighting I was in that day because as I started to play around with it a little more, I noticed the color showing up great on my skin. It's not crazy pigmented but gives me the perfect rosey peachy glow. It has subtle shimmer, and I usually hate shimmer in my blushes, but this blush really compliments my complexion and brightens up my whole face. It is a bit pricey, but I think it will last you forever so I do recommend it for sure! ALSO, the scent of this is sooo nice. I thought at first that having a scented blush would be weird, but it's a very nice floral-y scent. Not too over powering, just nice :) My only reasoning for 4 lippies is its price. I wish it was more affordable. However, this product will probably last me a very very long time.

Blush -New York Color - Color Wheel Mosaic Powder Pink Cheek Glow

This is one of my HG products. I have been using this blush before I ever was really into makeup. I am on my third one now and I will continue to re-purchase for as long as they continue to be made. I love that all the colors create a nice pinky glow that's natural but adds nice color to my face. It blends very nicely and I also love that there is no shimmer in this! I'm not a huge fan on blushes with shimmer. I use this product almost everyday and especially if I have shimmery or dramatic eyeshadow. It's a must-have in your collection. I swear you will get lots of use out of it. :) EDIT: Although I have loved this blush for years, now that I'm older and trying more makeup, I have found new favorites and no longer feel the need to use this. However, it's still a great blush to have and I think every young girl just starting out with makeup should have it!

Mascara -L'Oreal - Voluminous in Carbon Black

This is a pretty good mascara. It's not the best one I have tried, but definitely not the worst. It makes my lashes intensely dark which is a big plus, and it also gives my lashes a little bit of length which was a nice surprise. The only real problem I have with this mascara is the flaking. I can deal with it, but it seems it starts flaking almost immediately after applying it. I suggest putting on your foundation AFTER you put this mascara on. I haven't had a big issue with it clumping yet, but I do have to wipe the wand off a little when I pull it out sometimes. Overall the mascara is good. I usually use a little of it over another mascara. Whether or not I would re-purchase this, I am still unsure about. I think I could find another volumizing mascara that works better and even one that's even cheaper than this. Edit* After using this mascara even longer, i really do like it. Not only does it volumize but it also gives me pretty good length. I would repurchase. It's a great product at an affordable price. EDIT: Sorry for all the edits, but just as a heads up, over time, this mascara can become very clumpy. Some people may love that but I'm not a fan of clumpy lashes. This mascara wasn't that special for me. I probably would not repurchase this because it's too expensive for a mascara I don't LOVE.

Lipstick -Cover Girl - Almost Nude Lipstick

I hate this lipstick. I swatched it while in the store and it looked like a nice, pretty, natural looking color that I thought I would love. When I actually put it on my lips it came out as a bright orangey pinkish color. It's very drying, has way too much frost going on, and it falls into every crease in your lips making it very cakey and gross looking. To me, this feels like costume makeup.

Mascara -Revlon - Revlon Grow Luscious Mascara

I really really like this mascara. It's said to be a lengthening mascara that has a formula that can also cause your lashes to grow longer with consistent use. I never really believe claims like that, but this mascara did make me lashes seem a bit longer. It was subtle, but I found that mascara started applying more nicely to my lashes. It also gives my lashes some volume as well. It's not crazy dramatic but it's great for a day look. The wand is quite large so it may be a little tricky for some to get used to, but once you get the hang of it, it works just fine. I even apply it to my bottom lashes. I would recommend this mascara if you're wanting a natural look with a little pizazz! :)

Primer/ Corrector -Hard Candy - Sheer Envy Primer

I love this primer! When I first tried it, I was a bit skeptical because it was so inexpensive and I was sure it wasn't going to be of high quality. I was so wrong! The quality of this product is great! It leaves your skin feeling incredibly silky. If it at first feels greasy, don't worry, just let it sink in to your skin for a minute and you will then feel a silky to an almost powder finish. It allows foundation to glide on effortlessly and I also find it even my skintone out a bit and even minimizes the appearance of pores. It keeps my makeup on all day and there is no shine! Overall, a great buy! I recommend :)
