Loose Powders -Everyday Minerals - Silk Dust (Untinted ) [DISCONTINUED]

I like to use the silk dust as my finishing dust. I like the silk dust because it is very light on your skin. As some people have mentioned when you use it it does come off on your skin more white rather than translucent. I have very fair skin so this does not bother me, but for someone with darker skin this may be a problem. I also find that it tones down my blush and the rest of my foundation so if by chance I overdid myself the silk dust serves as a great corrector. I think that this is a great product and I hope that others will give it a shot.

Concealers -Everyday Minerals - Multi-tasking Concealer
rated 5 of 5

This is a great concealer. I did not think that this concealer would match my skin tone because I have very fair skin and the fair concealer looked like it would be a few shades too dark. Surprise, Surprise, it wasn't too dark for my skin. This concealer is very forgiving. It covers what it needs to cover and it does not settle into your fine lines and wrinkles, unless you pile on a ridiculous amount of product. With this makeup a little goes a long way. Once you see that your problem area is covered stop layering on product it is not necessary to overdo it. Also I find that if I put on my concealer prior to putting on my foundation, any excess concealer that I may have put on gets swept away and the remainging concealer blends in perfectly with the foundation so that my skin is flawless. This product is a real winner and a great piece to add to your Everyday Minerals collection.

Samples -Everyday Minerals - Free Sample Makeup Kit [DISCONTINUED/REPLACED]

The free sample makeup kit is awesome. You get three different foundations in the color and texture of your choice, in addition to a concealer and a finishing dust. The only thing you are out is shipping and handling. When I ordered my free sample kit I also ordered the mini eye shadow kit and the brush kit (this is not avaiable right now). Not only was I able to try out the foundations, but I was also able to get ten eyeshadow colors and six brushes for a very reasonable price. Also because I spent the amount of money to meet the criteria for their special at the time I got a discount off my order, two additional brushes and two eye shadows that were not even available in their regular eye shadow collection. How could I ask for more? Not only are the products good but their service is also great. My order was pacakged and shipped within a few hours after I placed my order (I monitored the status of my package from the Everyday Minerals website). In addition, my package got to my house within three days. Considering that I live in New Jersey and the company is located in Texas I consider that to be great standard shipping time. All in all I would recommend this product to anyone who is looking for a great mineral makeup.

Powder -Everyday Minerals - Foundation - Intensive formula [DISCONTINUED]

I absolutely love this product. I am 22 years old and before I bought this product I would rarely wear makeup. Every time I would put on makeup people would look at me and ask me if I had makeup on, which would absolutely drive me up a wall because I wanted everyone to look at me and think that I was naturally beautiful. With this product I get that naturally beautiful look. When I wear this product people look at me and tell me that I look refreshed. It took me a little while to figure out how to use this product properly so let me offer some tips for first time users/seasoned users that want to try a different application technique. If you do not have extremely oily skin I would recommend that you use a primer or a good moisturizer prior to putting this product on, I like The Present by Philosophy or No. 301 Deluxe Facial Moisturizer by C.O. Bigelow. Then, even though you are not supposed to, I use a few different color correcting concealers prior to putting on my intensive foundation. I find that by hiding my problem areas prior to putting on my foundation I prevent myself from putting on too much foundation in an effort to hide the things I don't like about my skin. Then, I usually use a Kabuki brush to get a light layer of the product all over my face and neck. In the process of putting on my foundation I find that excess concealer gets brushed away and the concealer that needs to stay blends in beautifully with my foundation to cover my flaws almost completely. Then, I take a liquid foundation brush (It looks like an oversized concealer brush) and I use that to apply a small, but concentrated amount of product to the areas where I like some heavier coverage. After I finish with my foundation I finish my face with some eye makeup, blush and a finishing powder (all from Everyday Minerals). Last but not least, I take a clean brush and sweep it over my face to get rid of any excess powder and then I lightly spritz my face with a mist of water. I find that the water makes the minerals melt together and soak into your skin so it looks like you are wearing no makeup. As the day wears on the product will continue to melt into your skin. You may even get a slight shine. As a young person I do not find this to be a problem because my skin looks glowing and dewy like a baby's skin. Maybe for someone older this effect can be troublesome, but trust me it can easily be fixed with a light dusting of finishing dust. If you have every tried Bare Escentuals in the past I can tell you that these products are completely different. In my opinion Bare Escentuals has few colors to choose from, many of which have a yellow base, and unlike what the company claims they are not forgiving. On the other hand, Everyday Minerals has at least fifty different colors to choose from and they make different sets of colors so that there are different foundation shades to cater to people with either yellow, pink, olive, neutral etc. etc. undertones. They also offer their foundations in four different types depending on the type of coverage you want. Also, unlike Bare Escentuals, this product does not itch your skin or settle into fine lines and wrinkles, unless you use a ridiculous amount of product and when I say ridiculous I mean a whole sample container in one sitting! I consider myself to have sensitive skin and within an hour of having Bare Escentuals on my skin it was burning and itching like you wouldn't believe. Also at 22 years old I shouldn't have any noticible fine lines or wrinkles and when I had Bare Escentuals on my skin I was able to see fine lines, which only made me look old. Just to give you an idea of the type of skin I have, without makeup I usually get mistaken for 16 or 17. If you need some more convincing, when I'm with my little sister, who by the way is 8 years younger than me, I get mistaken as the younger sister. Long story short, I really do not look my age at all, therfeore I shouldn't have been able to see fine lines and wrinkles when using the Bare Escentuals line. With Everyday Minerals I do not have a problem with sensitivity or product settling where it doesn't belong. I will give Bare Escentuals credit because it does have better coverage than Everyday Minerals. Nevertheless, with some concealer one can achieve the same effect with Everyday Minerals Intensive Foundation that they would get from Bare Escentuals. Another great thing about Everyday Minerals is that it is dirt cheap. You can by the free samples or the mini packages, rather than individual full size containers of product and have enough product to last you for at least half a year or longer. The package deals are great because they let you mix and match a lot of things. Also do not forget to check out the specials. There are always specials on the Everyday Minerals website and they usually give you a few free brushes, at least two or three eye shadows and a discount off your entire order for spending hardly any money. So to wrap things up, this is a wonderful product and I hope that everyone that reads this gives it a shot (since the company does give free samples, you only have to pay shipping and handling). Enjoy!!!!
