Self Tanners -St.Tropez - Tinted Self-Tanning Lotion

I have also used the St Tropez whipped mousse tanner which works great. St Tropez gives me the most realistic colour. My Mum even thought my tan was real! I usually only put on two applications because I am so pale and anymore looks kind of unnatural, at least everyone who knows me would straight away know its fake. Two applications fools them! Sadly the two appliactions don't last long. When I put another layer on though it does seem to last much longer. I still like the whipped mouse better, at least for my arms, shoulder and chest. This lotion actually caused a few breakouts on my back which I haven had for quite awhile. And it makes the pores on my chest stand out more which thankfully doesn't last too long. Still, it gives great colour, I think it works faster than the whipped mousse too.. so I will definately keep using it but probably mostly on my legs, lower body. Don't forget to use gloves when massaging it on!

Cleansers -Cetaphil - Daily Facial Cleanser (Normal to Oily Skin)

This cleanser is pretty damn good. I only took a lippie off because I don't really think it removes makeup that well. But other than that it's great. I have combination skin. Its oily, dry, prone to acne n clog pores. so I need something that will really cleanse and help with the oiliness and something that is nice and gentle for my dry slightly sensitive skin. This is it! I don't think I will change to anything else now. The gentle cetaphil cleanser seemed too..gentle, didn't do enough, and my old fave, neutrogena oil free acne wash was too drying. Recommended.

I had read so many rave review on MUA that I just had to give this a go. It's great to massage into your body. Moisturises well though I think it would be too oily to use for daytime. I would only put this on before bed or something. I tried it on my face. Used it for three nights but kinda freaked out with worry because even though I had read so many great (glowing skin!) reviews for this as a face moisturiser, I also read a lot of scary (broke out horribly, huge pimples, clogged pores- ahhh) reviews. It didn't do anything bad in the three nights, in fact my skin was lovely and soft I was just too worried as I have a few big events coming & can't afford crazy skin. So I have stopped using it on my face n now it's just strictly for body, eye makeup removal and as a hair treatment (I use it on dry hair, leave it on for an hour or so.Sometimes overnight, then shampoo & condition. just don't put too much in! Sometimes I use it to keep flyaways at bay, but only use a tiiiiny bit. definately no bigger than a finger nail, or else your hair will go stringy and will just look greasy. The only other downside is the jar it comes in. As I use more I can see it's going to be a problem as I get closer to the bottom. BUT definately a great product. A new staple for me. Heard so people eat some every day with some great benefits so I might look into that.. UPDATE: have started getting pimples on the back of my neck.. two are right at the hair line and I wonder if it's because of this? anyway I was using this overnight but might start to leave it on for just an hour or two on a sunday prehaps just in case. other than that, hair is still looking healthy and staying split end free atm!

Self Tanners -Dove - Summer Glow

I used this a couple of years ago. Used to be too chicken to try the 'real' tanners. Gradual was as far as I used to go. Anyway I couldn't remember why I had stopped using it. I had just apllied my third lot of St. Tropez and was looking for something to keep the tan topped up. Used this.... woke up orange! hmmmm thought that maybe the two products didn mix well on me... so later (much later. had to wait for ALL the orangeness went away. the streaks! I can't tell you how frustrating it was!) I decided to see how it worked on me alone. After a couple of aplications I wasn tan. Slightly yellow. It was a very even yellow glow. Not exactly what I was aiming for. That's what the 1 star is for. The evenness. I'm sure it works for others. In fact it works reasonably well on 1 of my friends, just not for me. at all.

Pressed Powders -Physicians Formula - Mineral Wear Talc-Free Face Powder
rated 3 of 5
Kimmy3Girl 10/2/2008 6:09:00 AM

I was looking for a simple light powder foundation to wear on the days when I needed some coverage for any blemishes or imperfections and didn't want to face the world with a bare face.. This foundation did its job I guess. I put on some concealer and this over the top. it did cover well. But it kinda made my face seem a little ...dull? The colour didn really match either. I have insane pale skin, it's hard to find foundations that do. I think I'll keep searching for my perfect 'everyday' powder.

Moisturizers -Cetaphil - Moisturizing Lotion

My skin is definately combo. It breaks out around my chin and a bit on my forehead but is also dry on my cheeks, nose and sometimes near my breakouts (which is sometimes a little odd when I don't always use treatments on them). I decided to use this because I was a little feed up with the other more expensive lotions I had used. Thought there has to be a cheap alternative. I think this is it... I've been using it for three weeks now... not very long I know but I figured it would be long enough to know whether I would be in the 'yes its fabulous' category or the 'had an AWFUL reaction. never use it again' group. So thankful to be in the former! its pretty good! moisturises well. I use it on my face (It said in a brochure I picked up that it's for face AND body). I only use a small amount though because it can be almost greasy. I got quite a suprise the first time I used it because I put on a tad too much and had to keep blending and massaging it down along my neck and chest because...well yes a little bit goes a long way! The only reason I knocked off a lippie is because of the shininess it can cause...During the day I wear sunscreen which adds more shine so... I'm not 100% sure this is the best day cream for me. But certainly great night cream. Haven had dry cheeks since using this!

This powder made my skin look so nice. A little shimmery! BUT everytime I used it it made my skin break out. So sad because it really looks amazing on.Now I only wear it if I have a really Really special event to go to because I know I will have to pay in the coming days after! I would recomend to people though. I just hope you have better luck than I.

Liquid -Lancome - Adaptive [DISCONTINUED]
rated 5 of 5
Kimmy3Girl 10/2/2008 4:41:00 AM

This one of the few foundations out there that doesn make my skin go insane with breakouts. I use the lightest shade they have because my skin is so pale. usually I have a very hard time finding a foundation that matches my skin tone. Sometimes they are orange and sometimes they are... I don't know how to describe it but it just looks fake. Everyone can tell you are wearing it. with this though, I actually get compliments on my skin which never happens (due to the blemishes that hang around. hormonal). I really only use this when I'm going out and I want my skin to look flawless. does the job pretty much perfectly. Hence the five stars!

Concealers -Lancome - Effacernes

Kimmy3Girl 10/2/2008 4:34:00 AM

this was my hg for a couple of years but not anymore...I haven replaced it sadly but I just don't think it's worth a 5....I bought a L'Oreal concealer a few months ago n it works almost as well as this but it was slightly too yellow. This is the right colour but ...I duno, it kinda wears off...I don't find it gets creepy or dry but I think there is probably better coverage out there and I'm going to explore!! I have very dark circles so I need something pretty pigmented. I still think this is pretty good (worth a 4) and if there is nothing else as good I'll certainly be coming back to this

Self Tanners -St.Tropez - St.Tropez Tinted Self Tanning Mousse/Whipped Bronze
rated 4 of 5
Kimmy3Girl 10/2/2008 4:27:00 AM

This self tanner really works for me. I have the whitest of white skin out of all my friends. Bit like Casper. I have used sooo many fake tans and everytime I turn a weird yellow colour that looks like I have some sort of deficiency, or I go orange overnight. And it gets even sadder when the orange starts to wear off and I'm white again...but with orange streaks down my thighs, arms and stomach! After trying what seems like every cheaper self tan I decieded to give St. Tropez ago. Heard all the amazing reviews, not only on this site. The first time I tried it was kinda a disaster. I got a great colour after using it the three nights in a row as suggested but I I got a rash all on my legs and arms. pretty devastating, had a great colour but couldn show it off because of the rash! decided to give it another go last week, it wasn cheap so I wanted to get my moneys worth!. This time, no rash! no itchiness! just a nice developing tan! This really is a great product. No orangeness, no streaking and it seems to be fading well too. I will definately be buying this one again. I think that this is my HG self tanner! years of searching are over :-)

Self Tanners -St.Tropez - Everyday Daily Moisturiser FACE
rated 1 of 5
Kimmy3Girl 10/2/2008 4:12:00 AM

I bought this product a little while ago when I was going for a stronger tan on my body and realised I needed to match up my super pale face. Anyway, I put it on before going to bed the first night. found it a little greasy but not too bad. When I woke up in the morning there was no effect whatsoever. Thought it would considering I'm so pale! Applied it a few nights in a row and the result was a slight SLIGHT glow. Nothing to write home about. Definately not value for money. Wont be buying this again, just stick with my bronzer. On the plus side it didn't make my skin break out! V suprising
