"Crystal Mist" color. I LOVE this! A multi-colored (light colors) sparkle topcoat, thick and plenty of sparkle. It's meant to go over regular polishes, but I've used it alone or mixed with clear and it's very pretty.
"Queen of Beauty" color. A beautiful silver sparkle polish. Last about as long as most polishes. Great color for the holidays!
Adrien Arpel Retinol-you twist the top off and have one treatment, I found easier to cut it off (then u have in on the scissors of course). This product makes my skin so soft, younger looking. Somewhat spendy but worth it.
Foundations -Color Me Beautiful - Moisture Complex Liquid
Kammers10 11/26/2009 5:09:00 AM
They used to have this in a cream, in a tube but discontinued. I use Cool Beige, (NW 23). I DON'T like liquid foundations, but this is a decent one. Goes with my skin tone, nice quality, a little spendy but not as much as MAC. I would continue to buy it if they had kept the cream. *sigh*
I LOVE this product! Smells great, does a great job of conditioning and straightening. Bottle design not the best, at least the opening is at the top but small so takes longer to get product out. I'm going to cry if they discontinue this, like they did the Pin Straight Mousse!
Great smell, but too hard on my hair, it has Ammonium Laureth Sulfate as main ingredient, I've found this usually makes shampoos a little stripping/drying, but I LOVE straightening shampoos, this one does the job there. Bottle has opening on the bottom, great concept, but opening so small it takes 10 minutes to get the product out!
NW 23 coloring. This is a cream with a little powder, it's convenient-has a mirrored compact. I don't like the size, I don't like the compacts for powder, blush etc. TOO BIG! It had medium to full coverage, so add a little moisturizer or a nice damp sponge, or foundation brush. The big negative-price. Almost $30, and I use foundation daily. I've found cream and cream to powders go faster than liquids.
I liked this product until I found a Sally Hansen product that had a little more shimmer. This is expensive, and as of course we want to cover entire face to moisturize, etc. I tend to use alot. It does leave my skin feeling good, but I like the Sally product better, this isn't really worth the price. Am going to seach for other highlighter/primer etc. for aging skin. (I no longer use powders except when weather VERY hot).
I love the shadows that are out/coming out based on eye color. Mine are brown but sometimes think they're hazel *smile*. I bought the Hazel quad, it has a pretty soft mint green, champagne, neutral shimmer brown, and cool deeper brown. I have cool skin tone, brown shadows aren't the best on me, even if they were cool. The quality was ok, nice & thick (I hate sheer shadows!), but somewhat hard, had to scrape the top to get the product. It was ok, but not the best color coded by eye color shadow I've purchased.
Styling Products -Unlisted Brand - Catwalk-Strong Mousse
Kammers10 8/26/2009 9:40:00 PM
I bought this when Herbal Essence discontinued it's "Pin Straight Mousse". This is the crappiest mousse I have ever used. It didn't add body, it just made my hair feel like it had hairspray etc on it!!! A total waste. Guess I'll use it to kill spiders in the house, lol (hey, it works, hair freeze works better).
Lotions/ Creams -Jergens - Jergens Natural Glow Daily Moisturizer
Kammers10 8/26/2009 9:33:00 PM
I wanted a product to use with my sunless tanning lotion, this is no special moisturizer. I see no difference between it and any "cheap" lotions.
Cleansers -Mary Kay - TimeWise 3-in-1 cleanser N/D
Kammers10 4/21/2009 6:44:00 AM
I was buying Artistry cleanser, but the cleanser for dry skin jumped to over $40! I refuse to spend that for a damn cleanser! So I switched back to Mary Kay Time Wise, less than half the price (even cheaper on E-bay), excellent product, lasts quite awhile.
Eye Shadow -Maybelline - Expert Wear Eye Shadow Lux Lilac Shimmer Finish
Kammers10 4/21/2009 6:41:00 AM
Thru color analysis it was determined Lilac is my ideal lid color, after years (ok decades) of wearing pinks with blues, grays, beiges, I realize they are right! But the lilac I purchase thru Color Me Beautiful UK comes in a tiny pan which fits in a magnetic palette. I am going to send a sample to Three Custom Colors and have them make it into a BIG pan which they use. So, I have to buy other brands Lilacs to add to it, this is an improvement over the older Maybelline formula, a little smoother, a little more pigment, not quite as grainy, for the price-bargain, but I won't purchase again.
I LOVE this color, it actually suits my color a little better than MAC 23 products, which has a little more warmth, I use that when wearing neutral colors. But for cool colors, this is a beautiful slightly pink beige. They used to have a medium coverage tube, now it's a liquid (I HATE liquid foundations, always have always will). E-bay often has CMB products for cheaper price than website.
Highlighters -Color Me Beautiful - Loose Shimmer Powder in Diamond Dust
Kammers10 4/21/2009 6:33:00 AM
I was buying MAC Belightful, but realized it's just too heavy, and a little too peach for my cool (NW23) coloring. I could grind it down but it has quite a bit of shimmer, although I'm 50 I pass for 21-36 so no sparkles anymore, just shimmer. This is a beautiful color, off white. You can mix it with moisturizer, use it alone, I mix it with the Rose Gold, and use it year round. Great value, it's over $20 but concentrated, and in a standard size loose powder. Anyone who still uses or believes in the seasonal color analysis won't be disappointed. I wish they would put into a pan so I can put in purse, etc. a pot of loose shadow DOESN'T work, found out the hard way!
