Makeup Brushes -Ramy Beauty Therapy - Synthetic Eyeliner Brush

Makeup Brushes -Ramy Beauty Therapy - Sable Lip Brush
rated 3 of 5
Jenny 1/25/2003 8:47:00 PM

COMMENTS: a generic lip brush that can also double as a concealer brush; $13; the Sonia Kashuk covered lip brush is a better value

Makeup Brushes -Ramy Beauty Therapy - Sable Eyeshadow Brush
rated 3 of 5
Jenny 1/25/2003 8:43:00 PM

COMMENTS: a generic eyeshadow brush; brush head size is fine for travel but really too small for daily use; $15; Sonia Kashuk has sable eyeshadow brushes for far less and in greater variety of sizes

Makeup Brushes -Ramy Beauty Therapy - Capra Blush Brush
rated 4 of 5
Jenny 1/25/2003 8:40:00 PM

COMMENTS: goat hair brush; fine as an angled blush brush for travel but a little on the small side for every day use; $19

Makeup Brushes -Ramy Beauty Therapy - Spooly Brow / Lash Brush
rated 3 of 5
Jenny 1/25/2003 8:36:00 PM

COMMENTS: basic spooly mascara brush that can be used to tame brows or for mascara; a nice addition if you already own the RamyReady! brush set since it has the same handle length, but the $2 Sonia Kashuk spool brush is a better value; sells for $10 at Bergdorf Goodman and on www.ramybeautyherapy.com

Makeup Brushes -Ramy Beauty Therapy - RamyReady! Brush Set
rated 3 of 5
Jenny 1/25/2003 8:33:00 PM

PROS: hard-case protects brushes more effectively than soft cases and soft brush rolls; COMMENTS: sells for $75. If you buy the brushes individually, it costs you $2 less. So, you can think of it as buying the hard case for $2. I have mixed feelings about repurchasing. I love the hardcase and the convenient size, but while the brushes are good quality, they not the best brushes on the market. Comes with basic travel brushes: capra blush brush, eyeshadow brush, eye detailer brush, lip brush and eyeliner brush. Everytime I put this in my carryon luggage, the airport security always checks my carryon because of this set!

Makeup Brushes -Kevyn Aucoin - Lip Brush

Makeup Brushes -Kevyn Aucoin - Concealer Brush
rated 3 of 5
Jenny 1/25/2003 8:21:00 PM

PROS: well-made; COMMENTS: flat ferrule, lucite handle. When I first saw this brush, my first thoughts were: lip brush? Eyelining brush? I usually use two different types of concealer brushes: a small tapered one (for blemishes) and a large tapered one (for undereye circles). This works fine for blemishes, but I think there are better concealer brushes on the market.

Makeup Brushes -Kevyn Aucoin - Eyebrow/Mascara Brush
rated 3 of 5
Jenny 1/25/2003 8:14:00 PM

PROS: well-made; COMMENTS: spooly mascara brush; it's nice if you want a matched set of K.A. brushes, but I also agree with Kealoha that the $2 Sonia Kashuk does the same thing for a lot less

Makeup Brushes -Kevyn Aucoin - The Brush Collection
rated 4 of 5
Jenny 1/25/2003 8:10:00 PM

PROS: high quality brushes with soft bristles; COMMENTS: I have mixed feelings about repurchasing. A very lovely set of brushes but I feel like some of the brushes are inferior in design to Trish McEvoy's. I think the three medium eyeshadow brushes is a great idea. Reasonably priced when compared to other high end brush brands. The set is a better value than purchasing the brushes and roll individually.
