Eyeliner -Hard Candy - Hot Smudge Stunt Double
rated 1 of 5

I so wanted to love this. I was so excited. Well, it was actually kind of sweating when I opened it up. I don't know, that was kind of weird. Either way, it mushed a lot, too much to even really apply nicely, I got almost no actual pigment, which was sad because the pretty colors were so tantalizing! Worst of all, after I worked so hard and finally got a little to show up on my lids, I wiped everything off in half a second without any hesitation. Like it would be downright irresponsible to try and wear this out of the house.

Highlighters -Revlon - ColorStay Mineral Finishing Powder - Brighten [DISCONTINUED]
rated 5 of 5
Flippinsushi 6/5/2010 7:39:00 PM

LOVE IT!!! I use this stuff as a highlighter but I also use it on my eyes all the time. Lately I've really gotten into doing a dark crease, and this looks so good on my lids underneath! I've purchased this twice, which I have to say is amazing because not only do I never buy the same makeup twice, but this is like a HUGE neverending ball of powder. Totally pro!!!

Eyeliner -Maybelline - Line Stiletto liquid eyeliner
rated 3 of 5
Flippinsushi 6/5/2010 7:24:00 PM

I'm forever looking for the perfect eyeliner. I've used literally every possible type of liner out there. The spongy liquid liners are probably my least favorite. Pro- Doesn't smudge Con- Pigment- while I love the idea of the sponge for control, (over the basic liquid), I found that this really limited the amount of liner you could actually get onto your eye at a given time----- MANY coats in order to get the desired line. However, after practicing with it a couple times I was able to get a technique down.... I will say this is a better sponge liner than others I've tried, so that's a plus.

Lotions/ Creams -Eucerin - Aquaphor Healing Ointment
rated 5 of 5

I found a huge tub of this stuff at my grandparents and snagged it. It's awesome. I won't lie, I use it 99% of the time for my lips, so it's really just a 14 oz tub of lip balm for me... I'm ok with that. I moved this past week so I lost track of my big tub-o-balm, and subsequently my lips got really chapped, and I found it today, slathered some on, and already like 5 hours later my lips feel perfect. Wearing it overnight, decadent! Who's got two thumbs and super kissable lips? This girl!!!

Lip Treatments -eos - Lip Balm Sphere - Summer Fruit
rated 2 of 5
Flippinsushi 5/25/2010 12:45:00 AM

Cool Idea. I loved the scent options. I had to buy it because it seemed so alluring. I was pretty disappointed. The smell of both the pink and the green wasn't bad, but it was very very light. On top of that, it felt exactly like Chapstick. I didn't believe that it was all natural, it felt pretty waxy and drying to me. I had to reapply quite a few times, and I finally gave up. I'm a huge lip-item addict, and this is one of very few products I gave up on entirely.

Fragrances -Hard Candy - Hard Candy
rated 5 of 5
Flippinsushi 5/25/2010 12:18:00 AM

I'm so tempted to say this product stinks because I have such a hard time finding it. I see it every once in a while at Marshall's and I snatch it! They have a pink one also, OMG it's wonderful. They used to make a Liquid Hard Candy perfume that I guess was discontinued, huge shame, that stuff is bottled magic. Honestly though, these are the best perfumes I've ever used, I always get noticed and complimented on how clean and great I smell. So please, don't believe me. Don't buy it. Just let me know where you saw it.

Fragrances -Aquolina - Pink Sugar

I love this stuff. OMG how much I love this stuff. I never buy perfume unless it's at Marshall's on clearance. I sprang for this, (it was at Sephora on clearance!) It's got this great sweet scent, but it's clean and crisp. Best of all, once it's on, I find it really blends in! Fabulous!!!!!!!!!

Hair -Moroccanoil - Moroccan Oil
rated 5 of 5
Flippinsushi 4/21/2010 1:39:00 PM

The only thing I hate is the price. Yea, it's too expensive, and I can tell myself all I want that it's worth it and I only use a little at a time so it lasts, but it still feels ridiculous to pay 15$ for a tiny bottle that looks like a sample. Anyway, I have repurchased even with the price. This stuff smells wonderful, and it honestly makes my hair sooo soft! Whenever I use it, it makes my hair look really shiny and really reduces any frizz factor. And the best part? It NEVER feels oily or anything like with EVERY other serum I've ever used! Yea... it's really that good! I use it for every special occasion, but I do feel like I need to ration it out a little because of the price. If it were cheaper, I'd probably buy it by the bucketful!

Eyeliner -Maybelline - Eyestudio Lasting Drama Gel Eyeliner
rated 5 of 5
Flippinsushi 2/11/2010 12:20:00 AM

I couldn't find the Wet N Wild creme eyeliner in a similar looking pot, which I was surpised I loved so dearly, BTW, so I decided to try this instead. Obviously it's a little more money than Wet N Wild, but still cheap as far as makeup goes... As for how it works- LOVE IT! I started with the brown, and it's a perfect shade for me; not too dark, not too pale. And it stays on and doesn't melt like half the eyeliners I've tried lately. I was very impressed with the brush, which I will keep long after the pots are empty.... After liking the brown so much, I went back for the purple, and I was so excited to see that it's this nice shimmery metallic purple that's absolutely gorgeous and makes my eyes pop wonderfully. I will so buy again, couldn't be happier!

Hair -Sacha Cosmetics - Sally - Hair One Hair Cleanser and Conditioner
rated 3 of 5
Flippinsushi 9/8/2009 3:16:00 PM

Eh... Yea, that's pretty much all I have to say. My mom and I both tried this product, and our hair was certainly softer, but after about a week we were both nunplussed. I really don't feel like it's cleaning my hair, and I feel like my hair's greasy all the time. Typically I shower every day, but if I don't it's not a big deal. This past week I've been showering about twice a day, and even so I feel greasy..... I used a clarifying shampoo once or twice, but honestly, I just don't see enough WOW in my hair to merit purchasing another bottle. I doubt I'll try the Wen either. Also, typically I don't comment on packaging, but in this particular case I was shocked that the plunger doesn't barely reach the bottom of the bottle, (like I still have half a bottle of product and I can't get to it). LAME

Masks -Freeman - Facial Peel-Off Mask Cucumber
rated 5 of 5
Flippinsushi 8/25/2009 11:15:00 PM

I agree with the others. Wicked cheap, yet very effective. I've done this mask probably way more than I should, and yet still never had redness or dryness. It peels off super easily, dries quite quickly, and really cleans out pores. I'm a fan!

Cleansers -LUSH - Aqua Marina Cleansing Roll
rated 5 of 5
Flippinsushi 8/21/2009 12:19:00 PM

WOW!!! I love this stuff. I am always looking for a cleanser that makes my skin feel clean, specifically something that makes my T zone less oily. I was amazed at how great my skin felt after using, and unlike some products where the effects wear off after a while, it's been going strong every day. I guess I can understand people not loving the smell, but I don't care, and I'd almost rather have something smell like its ingredients, because I feel like the manufacturers should spend time on quality and results, not a pretty smell. Either way, I sorta like the smell. I don't have any problems with mess or anything, I just rub my hands together with a little dab and then rub all over my face, (exactly what I do for all other cleansers). Either way, I love it and I think I'm done looking for face wash!

Powder -Bare Escentuals - Bare Minerals ALL
rated 1 of 5
Flippinsushi 6/23/2009 8:26:00 AM

Nope, not for me! I tried it, because I was mesmerized at all he hype, and had a few friends who used it. First thing I noticed was that all the ladies at Sephora wore other products, and while they were nice enough in showing it to me, I got the feeling that they weren't behind the product. Things I didn't like: 1. Couldn't use the primer. I'm not allergic or even mildly sensitive to anything in the world save this primer. I couldn't believe that I paid so much money for itchy hives on my face. 2. Coverage? Great job at evening out skin tone, but I felt that this gives little to no coverage on any blemish, (what you want to cover the most). 3. Shine- After a relatively short amount of time, (like an hour), when looking in a mirror, I'd feel like my face was literally oozing off. I've also noticed that it's super obvious to tell who's wearing this because they invariably look beyond shiny as well. 4.I hate the bronzer, it looks weird on EVERYONE, and I never used it after a few days, I bought my own blush, (which I'd never worn before, but now desperately needed because I looked kind of mannequin-like) 5.Lasting Ability-as mentioned above, it not only looks like it's falling off, but I couldn't touch anything to my face for fear of leaking makeup on to it. More than once I would accidentally wipe off all my makeup. 6.Over Use-either because I wasn't getting the coverage I wanted or because my makeup had oozed off, I was probably in my room reapplying this crap repeatedly throughout the day, which led to me being out of it quite quickly. 7.Look- after finally going back to my regular routine, quite a few people started complimenting me, and upon question I found out that I been looking entirely "made-up", and it in fact did look sort of like a mask on my face. Great to know! 8.Quality- Brushes are kind of crap, I still used them for other stuff, and I ended up getting MAC brushes which don't get nappy and icky- LAME. The "2" foundations is bullshit, most of us won't look good with a perfect mixture of the two, so you're likely going to get 1 foundation plus a little. Mineral veil is gone first because it's truly not a bad product, but I never got as much luminescence as they make it sound. 9.Price- technically probably not awful, I got mine for 40$, but seeing as how you can get foundation and powder for under 20$ at the drugstore that will look infinitely better, the choice is obvious. Personally, I feel like every girl should probably try a "hype" product or two in her life to get it out of her system, but real life, if it's really that amazing it'll probably be on the news, not an infomercial............

Eyeliner -Wet 'n' Wild - Mega Eyes Creme Eyeliner - Eggplant
rated 5 of 5
Flippinsushi 6/22/2009 8:56:00 PM

I actually have the black one, there's no review section for the black one, but I figured I'd put my two cents in. Honestly, I mostly stopped using Wet N Wild a few years ago in favor of more quality products, particularly eyeliner. I don't know if they've changed their other eyeliners, but this product is unbeatable. Precision application, wonderful smudge-ability for that sexy smoky look, and it stays put all day long-no lame dark eyeliner circles under my eyes that make me look like an insomniac drug addict. I'm very very happy, especially after having been so disappointed with all other eyeliners I've been sinking money into. After reading all the other positive reviews, I might be back at Rite-Aid soon to get the Eggplant, total shame I didn't pick that first!!!

Primer/ Corrector -Smashbox - Photo Finish Primer
rated 5 of 5
Flippinsushi 6/10/2009 8:34:00 PM

My foundation goes on so smoothly, and on my first day of using it, I actually "double taked" when looking in the mirror and noticed that my makeup looked the exact same as it did in the morning-also makes my face feel nice, totally great buy, I'm convinced!
