Lip Gloss -MAC - Plushglass in Ample Pink
rated 5 of 5

This is a beautiful glossy pinkish mauve color that's fabulous if you want tons of gloss and shine without too much shimmer. I'm wearing it over my Viva Glam II lipstick for an every day nude lip look with the Pink Cult blush...I have a warmer skin tone so this is a cool look for me but still looks pretty and natural.

Blush -MAC - Pink Cult

At first when I saw this blush in the pot I wasn't sure it would go with my warmer skin tone at all but then I tried it on. Wow! I really like it and it's different from most of the other blush colors I own. It's not as cool looking on my skin as I thought it might be, it's actually more on the neutral side. I gave it 4 lippies because for such a pale looking color you have to apply it with a light hand. This can get dark if applied too heavily and can look "dirty" on fairer skin and I felt like the texture could be just a teeny bit smoother, it is a tad chalky, but overall it's a lovely blush.

Eye Shadow -MAC - Wishful

This eye shadow is really nice because I use it for a variety of purposes, not just as a browbone highlighter. I also love it as a cheekbone highlighter mixed with MAC's CCB in Pearl to give it more dimension. I also love to mix this with some darker eye shadow colors like Espresso to give them a bit of shimmer and depth. Mixed with Rummy, Wishful makes a gorgeous deep, cool taupe color that's amazing for a smoky eye, btw.

Lip Gloss -MAC - LipGelee - Saplicious

I really love this beautiful lip gloss, I feel like it's moisturizing enough to be worn on its own even without lip balm underneath. It's not too sticky or goopy which is nice, the staying power is fine for its being a lipgloss and the color is gorgeous, a warm, milk chocolate brown with a hint of pink. I especially love this over a nude lip to add some gloss and this is my go-to color when I do not want any sparkle or shimmer.

Polishes -OPI - Pompeii Purple

I'm generally a "neutrals" kinda girl when it comes to nail polish colors, but when I'm in the mood for a brighter color I reach for this shade. It's a perfect hot-pink shade made a little more fun and interesting by being shimmery and having a beautiful purple iridescence to it. This is just an all-around gorgeous shade that can look fabulous on a variety of skin-tones. LOVE!

I prefer neutral nail colors and this beautiful shade is one of my all-time faves because the opal-like iridescent flash of lilac and blue give this pinky beige glossy color some visual interest.

Eyeliner -Avon - Ultra Luxury Eye Liner

I've been using Avon's Ultra Luxury Eye Liners for years now and I love them. I find the wear is durable and the color stays right where you put it, I never end up with smudges underneath my eyes even after a long day. These apply easily without tugging at your eyelids and blend easily as well. Plus you just can't beat the price, I usually pay just $2 or $3 for these because they're usually on sale.

Blush -MAC - The Perfect Cheek

I was really drawn to this color at the CCO where I bought it and when I got home and added it to my MAC stash I realized why...it's almost exactly the same as MAC's Cubic blush which is my HG go-to color. It's not quite as pink though, it's a little more beige and I love to use it if I'm going for a super neutral, nude face. I have to be super, super careful not to apply too much though or the color can look "muddy," which is why I'm giving this 4 lippies instead of 5.

Polishes -OPI - Dont Melbourne The Toast

I'm not a fan of this color at all and will not be trying this again. It looked interesting in the bottle, like it would be a pretty, peachy bronze but once on it was just...weird! It just didn't flatter my skin tone at all, I think it just has too much orange in it, which combined with the bronze just looks "off." Plus, a couple of days later I noticed dark patches underneath the polish on several of my toes...have never had that kind of discoloration with an OPI shade before. Dislike!

Polishes -OPI - Dulce de Leche

This is another OPI color I really, really love...on me. It's a beautiful nude pink that looks fabulous for a natural, every day look. The reason I'm giving this 4 lippies instead of 5 is the application...it's so hard to get this on smoothly without it thickening up, you've got to apply this one quickly and perfectly if you want it to look just right. I also agree with some of the other reviewers...this will look beautiful on some but give others "dead hands." I love how it looks on me, but you've got to have the right skin tone to pull this one off. I'd recommend trying it before buying it!

Polishes -OPI - Melon of Troy

I'm not a huge fan of peach or orange colored nail polishes...I usually tend to stick with beige or pink. However, I bought this on clearance a few years ago and it's become my go-to color during the summer. It looks so beautiful on my fair to medium skin tone, more peachy than orange without being too bright and crazy. I love the moderate amount of shimmer this has as well. Only two coats are enough and this is so nice for a change from the neutrals I usually wear.

Polishes -OPI - Bubble Bath
rated 5 of 5
DoraZ 3/5/2011 10:52:00 PM

This is my favorite neutral nail polish by OPI. It applies beautifully and smoothly and the pinkish cast flatters my fair to medium skin tone. It is quite sheer, but I like that about it, I don't mind having a visible "nail line" so I don't worry about trying to get complete nail coverage with this color. Two coats is plenty, I'm going for a glossy bare look, not a covered look when I use this. I compare this OPI color to the perfect nude lipstick that's like your lips only better...this is like my nails only better!

Lipstick -MAC - Cremesheen Creme in your coffee

Wow, I just got this lipstick in a swap a couple of days ago and am wondering what took me so long to get a hold of it and why didn't I buy this before at the MAC counter?! I've been wearing it the last two days and it's a beautiful "your lips but better" color that's a couple of shades deeper than my natural lip color and gives them a nice punch of color and suits my skin tone perfectly. Another staple that will be perfect for a more natural, every day look. This will get put in my "daily wear" drawer for sure!

Lipstick -MAC - Lustre in Hug Me
rated 5 of 5
DoraZ 3/5/2011 8:02:00 PM

I'm on my 2nd tube of this which is almost finished and I will definitely be buying it again. This punches up my natural lip color (yes, it's almost the same) which is what I love about Hug Me. It's perfect for every day wear, when I want just a bit of something on my lips that's neutral but pretty without having to worry about pairing a color with my other makeup.

Eye Shadow -MAC - Haux Eye Shadow
rated 4 of 5
DoraZ 2/26/2011 12:07:00 AM

This is a gorgeous, yet difficult color to work with. I find it works best when applied with MAC's eye shadow in Malt, the two of them seem to compliment each other in an awesome way and Malt seems to slightly neutralize the redness of Haux and leave me with a gorgeous mauve color that makes my green eyes really stand out. Between these two and either Vanilla or Fairylite pigments as a highlighter, I end up with a gorgeous neutral eye for day and a dramatic eye for night when I add MAC's Prunella Eye Kohl. LOVE!
