Eye Shadow -Bobbi Brown - Shimmer Wash Eyeshadow - Rose Gold #8
Deeny 7/15/2003 12:10:00 AM
What a gorgeous shadow! This is a rosey-peachy shadow with gold shimmer that looks stunning on. I wish it didn't crease on my lids, but so far nothing has prevented creasing. (and I'm a BIG fan of high-end cosmetics!) I got this as part of the Drama palette, and then purchased a separate shadow 'cause it was so pretty! It really looks good on my tan skin, and gives me a healthy glow. The texture is nice, and I love this as a nice, neutral wash of color. Def. worth trying!

Lip Gloss -Stila - Lip Glaze Palette - The Pinks
Deeny 5/17/2003 12:58:00 PM
I really like this palette, but it's WAY expensive for what you get! (Fortunately, I had to order a minimum amount to get the Gloss.com freebies so I could justify it) :) It's really cute, comes with a brush, and the sheer shades are great for summer.I can't really smell or taste any flavors, but the colors are smooth and shiny. Love the fact that even the lighter pinks show up on my NC35 complexion. Don't get it as a "palette of 1,000 uses", but as a fun little treat, it's great!

Blush -Maybelline - Blush in Beach Club Coral
Deeny 5/6/2003 3:08:00 AM
I can't believe I stumbled on to this gem! I was lusting after MAC's Pinch'o Peach blush, and wandered into Rite-Aid one day. I decided to have a 'trial run' with a cheap peach blush (who can resist 40% off??) This turned out to be the most amazing blush I've ever tried! I thought I was too cool & too dark to make it work (NC 30-35) but I've never seen a healthier flush on my cheeks! I can't even describe how amazing this looks on, and I imagine this would look great on everyone! RAVE!!!!!!!!

Blush -Stila - Rose Convertible Color
Deeny 5/6/2003 2:58:00 AM
This should be called a 'cheek stain', b/c that's what it does! Just a few dabs on the cheeks, some quick blending, and you have a beautiful cheek glow that literally lasts all day! (A rarity for me!) Rose is more berry than rose, but turns the most gorgeous color on the skin! (NC35) I hate this on the lips though - too drying - but you can use it over lipgloss for a richer color. One of my fave Stila products!

Highlighters -Stila - All Over Shimmer - Body
Deeny 5/6/2003 2:49:00 AM
This is a really nice, neutral shimmer product! Very silvery-white, it adds a light glow wherever you need it. I used it on my arms, neckline & legs for my cousin's wedding. It really adds depth & sheen to your skin! (I'm a shimmer whore anyway!) I like the way it sinks into your skin - so much so that you can easily use this on your face as a highlighter. Gorgeous colors; I'd like to see Stila come out with a more shimmery product as well!

Highlighters -Stila - All Over Shimmer #3
Deeny 5/6/2003 2:39:00 AM
Love this shimmer shade! It's a deep pink/mauve/silver shimmer that looks killer as a cheekbone highlighter. In fact, any time I want to add depth to any part of my face I use this product. Doesn't really leave sparkles on your face, just a pink glow. I do wish, however, that it had a flip-top cap like the larger versions. Great overall product, though!

Lip Gloss -Stila - Lip Polish - Lacquer
Deeny 5/6/2003 2:33:00 AM
I was a little wary of buying this considering the mixed reviews, but my lemming took over & lemmings can be pretty strong! Turns out that this is a beautiful creamy nude-warmed pink that glides on like a dream. (Didn't think I could wear a warm-based pink, but you never know till ya try!) I totally agree that it's ridiculously overpriced, but that's why there's ebay! Due to it's smooth velvety texture, the staying power isn't that great; however, I can live with it since it has such a pretty color. I'll definetly try the other shades!

Lip Gloss -Caboodles - Lip Dee-Lish Lip Tint
Deeny 5/6/2003 2:19:00 AM
I bought these in both Dee-lish and Tastee. Dee-lish is a frosted silvery pink that has a nice texture and weird flavor (think artificial raspberry?). Tastee is a little gummier and streakier, with a bold red tint and cherry flavor. Dee-lish is the better gloss, and has way more moisturizing power! For the price, they're fantastic. Just don't expect miracles for $4.50 a pop. (Great way to try different shades, though.) And the click pen brings out the five-year-old in me! :)

Eye Shadow -MAC - Deep Purple Pigment
Deeny 4/26/2003 2:38:00 PM
I couldn't wear this at all, not even as an eyeliner. I'm a MAC NC35, and for some reason the yellow/olive undertones in my skin turned the color i thought was *so beautiful* in the jar into a muddy greenish mess. There was no way of applying this so I wouldn't look bruised; however, I gave it 3 lippies 'cause it looks stunning on my NC30 sister. :)

Eye Shadow -MAC - Pigment in Violet
Deeny 4/26/2003 2:29:00 PM
What an amazing color! My lemming resisted for a long time, but I wandered into the MAC store & that was the end of that. Violet could easily be called 'electric' - it is really vivid! I have a hard time wearing it alone as an eyeshadow, but it turns a beautiful plum when paired with Maroon, and a gorgeous lavendar when you use Kitschmas on top. It is one of the finer milled pigments, and very versatile. (Although why you can't use this on the lips, I don't understand!) All in all, I think it's worth picking up, esp. if you love purple!

Eye Shadow -MAC - Pigment in Melon
Deeny 4/26/2003 2:21:00 PM
I didn't think I could wear this shade, but I surprised myself. On me (MAC NC35) it is a gold/melon hybrid. It works as a soft, shimmery golden wash over the eyelid. This will look better in the summer, I'm sure of it. Not a bad shade, but I'm taking off a lip 'cause I wish it looked more melon on me! I have to wear Rose underneath it to make a more melon-y color. But not bad - I just can't resist shimmery pigments!

Mascara -Prescriptives - False Eyelashes Plush Mascara
Deeny 3/2/2003 3:57:00 PM
I got the sample through Gloss (who didn't?) and was so impressed, i ran to Macy's & bought the full size! I bought MAC's Prolash a couple of months ago & thought it was great. The False Eyelashes mascara leaves it in the dust!! Some of us have really thin, pathetic lashes. My big problem is that, even with the MAC prolash, I'd end up with these spider-leg lashes sticking out. The Prescriptives mascara gives me really lush, full lashes and, since I don't notice a length difference between any other mascaras, it's my HG product! Looooove this!! *UPDATE* It was only the trial size that worked so well. For some bizarre reason, the regular size was nasty & goopy. Taking off 2 lippies 'cause of that :(

Lip Gloss -MAC - Grape en Drape
Deeny 3/2/2003 3:48:00 PM
This is the best new lipglass!! It's a rich berry with shimmer & multi-glitter infused in it. (you can really see a lot of the blue & green glitter come through!) I tend to use this when I want a really cute, plump pout on my lips. It works well with my pinks & purples, and shows up on my MAC NC35 skin! (always important!) Looks great paired with Pink Pearl pigment, too! Another winner for MAC!

Lip Gloss -MAC - Glitter Lipglass in Petulant Pink
Deeny 3/2/2003 3:41:00 PM
I don't know what the big gripe is - this is a good lipglass! Maybe I just had lower expectations :) I personally think it's the perfect topper to any lipstick and/or lipgloss. It's true that it looks pink in the tube & clear on the lips, but it's got a lot of the gold-family microglitter that isn't gritty like the Snowgirl lipglass. It works as an accent gloss, but I can see why so many people had a problem with it on its own. Maybe MAC could make one that is a little pinker?

Lip Gloss -Chanel - Blizzard Glossimer
Deeny 3/2/2003 11:53:00 AM
This is my first glossimer, and I can't describe how much I love this product! It's not sticky, but it stays put pretty well. The color, Blizzard, is exactly what I was hoping for - a pink/peach/brown with shimmer. Most "perfect nude" lipglosses make me look washed out (MAC NC35) but this one really does add to my complexion! I do agree with most reviewers about the product getting gooped up on the wand, so I just clean it off with my lip brush - small price to pay! I can't wait to try the other shades!
