Lips -Cover Girl - Outlast Lipstain - 435 Flirty Nude
Crispyhexagon 2/14/2009 4:00:00 PM
The color was a bit of a shocker,, yes and no,, from the tube I had a notion it would be a bit on the orange side more so than the nude side,, but tube colors tend to be a bit off anyhow,, so who knew? lol I love the sites that advise your colors because in years before they came about I always chose the wrong dang colors, I was born blonde , was a redhead for years pull off both very well, with my blue eyes and pale freckled skin but makeup is another story. I was hoping for a sexy nude I could put some gloss over for a coy look. This is not that color , I don't believe there is one in this line,, BUT that being said this color def. brightens my face w/o even wearing other makeup,, I don't know that I'd have tried this color again if I still had the red hair,, it would have been too much orange but with my champagne color and light eye makeup this is actually really pretty with a little gloss over the top of it. It does last for me,, and I will give the other color they chose for me a go as well though I'm no longer under the assumption that it will be in any way coy. :) UPDATE! If you blot this immediately after you apply it you can make it a natural brighter color that livens up your face w/o making you look all made up :)

Lotions/ Creams -Bath and Body Works - Vanilla Bean Noel Body Cream
Crispyhexagon 12/7/2008 3:50:00 PM
This smells nice and sweet, very warm and holidayish,, it's not something I can wear everyday though after awhile it kind of turns my stomach a bit. That being said if you like sweet scents you'll probably really like this,, don't bother with the body spray , the glittery shower gel or the bath parfait though they have no scent,, well the spray does but it's nothing like the body creme scent it's more of a burnt caramel and chemical .... really dissapointed in my holiday haul this year :(

Gels/Soaps -Bath and Body Works - Vanilla Bean Noel Shower Gel
Crispyhexagon 12/7/2008 3:46:00 PM
well poo,, I'm glad I bought this with a gift card I got for my birthday, I haven't been able to afford BBW for myself lately and "treated" myself to a few of the Vanilla Bean Noel things. The Green glittery Vanilla Bean Noel Shower Gel, well to put it bluntly,, I could find something with more scent and bubbles at the Dollar Tree. No scent, no lather,, meh.

I just keep wondering where the moisture is. Very drying for me unfortunately.

Powder -Maybelline - Mineral Power Powder Foundation
Crispyhexagon 10/13/2008 7:57:00 PM
I really like this foundation,, it stays put for me much longer than I expected it to and gives my skin decent coverage and glow. I suppose my only little peeve is that it can show off my dry spots which isn't too bad since I do use a moisturizer most of the time before I do my makeup. I'm a clutz so I have to be careful or I do make a mess with the powder. I shake it up and use the powder that's in the lid.

Fragrances -Estee Lauder - Pleasures

I got this as a gift and it's very light and floral and I tend to like it a good bit as it doesn't change course on me and turn into anything else. That being said for some reason it doesn't last long on me either so I carry a little bottle in my purse for in traffic pick me ups and after work outings.

Lipstick -Cover Girl - Incrediful Lipstick
Crispyhexagon 8/15/2008 11:27:00 AM
After making myself sick to death of years of those paint on dry long wearing lipcolors I started craving the old smooth lipstick in a tube and settled on trying one of these. I ended up choosing a color called " Baby's Got Lips" I'd say it's a neutral pinky w/o being super pink , looks really good with my fair skin , I'm not sure it plumps but I don't suppose I pay much attention.. it does actually last a fair amount of time,, I'd be so bold as to say as long if not longer than a few of those nasty , pilly, dry "long lasting" lipcolors. I will def. try other colors. It does have a little bit of a minty zing when first applied which I would imagine is part of the plumping bit.

Foundations -Cover Girl - Ultimate Finish
Crispyhexagon 7/26/2008 9:29:00 AM
I'm mellllting... I'm a sucker for these products that do it all,, conceal which is does nicely actually for me anyhow,, foundation which it goes on fine and finish which it does and looks nice and does a nice job of evening out my complexion which over the years has gotten a little ruddy ,, I've no wrinkles but uneven skin tone,, go figure! I love this when I put it on BUT I'm thinking I'll try this again in cooler weather it's just melting off me in this late July weather. Back to the old drawing board to find a lasting full coverage w/o feeling painty foundation.

Lipstick -Prestige - Lipstick in Pout
Crispyhexagon 5/31/2008 6:57:00 PM
well, pooh.. I have been very good about not making my weekly makeup runs but I was in need of a new eyeliner so I hit the Rite aid and figured I'd find a new lippie while I was there,, I thought this was more of a fleshy nude,, tis greige ,, taupe perhaps? it's not the worst color I've ever tried but it really doesn't do anything for my complexion. Otherwise the consistency of the lipstick it's self is very nice ,, I shall try another color.

Lotions/ Creams -Unlisted Brand - LAMB All Over Me body lotion
Crispyhexagon 5/22/2008 8:14:00 AM
I got this as part of a nice giftbag thing at a shower and I really tend to avoid celebrity type fragrances or catchy labels I like to think of myself as a free thinker but I do love lotions so I gave it a go... I really like it,, the scent is terrific and it lingers, I never wear perfume with it though I would imagine it layers nicely with the matching perfume. My 65 year old mother asked me what perfume I was wearing she really liked too. It also does a nice job of leaving my skin silky. My only gripe too would be the little top bit on the tube you have to wipe it off after you use it to put it away I think just a regular flip top would be much handier.

Shampoo -Suave - Green Apple Shampoo
Crispyhexagon 5/9/2008 6:52:00 AM
Nothing like a good recession to make me start hitting up the local Dollar Tree , I actually picked up the family sized bottle of this and the matching conditioner because my family was coming to visit for Easter back in March while I was still using Radiant Red stuff,, I decided to grow my hair color out { no idea what color it is , been coloring since 1996} so I went cold turkey on the Radiant Red and started using this ,, my hair is so much softer and healthier .. I will def. keep buying this. I use the shampoo and then apply the conditioner which is a little runny compared to the nice thick ones I'm used to but I leave it on while I shower and it really does seem to do the trick. A buck a pop compared to 10-15 for something that works,, Im sold :)

Fragrances -Juicy Couture - Fragrance

The bottle is adorable,, I had sniffed one of those magazine strips months ago and finally saw it out at Ross Dress For Less , being the bargin hunting wannabe fashionista I picked it up for around 40 dollars a little excited,, opened it in the car , admired the botlte , sprayed my wrists ,, ahhh the lovely floral smell was superb! much to my dissapointment though it soon faded,, and I mean SOON and I was left with something vaguely plastic and somehow vanilla I don't happen to like either,, luckily I didnt buy this at full price or I'd have been really peeved by the lack of staying power and the uncanny change is scent.

Lip Gloss -L'Oreal - Infallible Lip Gloss
Crispyhexagon 3/14/2008 3:35:00 PM
I like the bottle and shape of the applicator just fine and even the feel of it when I first put it on. Some colors oddly smell different than others.. not a big issue but I don't think I would buy another one because like some of the other reviewers I found this did pill up on me and those little pilly balls were hard to discreetly remove w/o looking like I was actively trying to get something off my lips ,, just turned into a bit of a sticky mess..

Well, pooh,, I tried this to help rev up my naturally wavy hair and though it's a nice shampoo and conditioner and leaves my hair very soft ,, it didn't do anything for my waves,, tis expensive so even though it left my hair soft I wouldn't repurchase for my waves or anything else..

Lip Gloss -Wet 'n' Wild - Juicy Balm (general)
Crispyhexagon 2/5/2008 11:38:00 AM
I've had this in strawberry for awhile now the stick is huge which is nice, plus it's easy to find in your purse or backpack,, smells incredible and doesn't taste horrible when you get some in your mouth or lick your lips or chew them when taking algebra and bio tests.. I slick this on either by it's self or over a lip stain for school days to keep my lips from feeling gross and dry ,, I do have to reapply through the day but it's awful yummy stuff so I don't mind at all.. and cheap to boot,, and not sticky at all or too glossy , just a nice moist sheen,, my only peeve is the cap on the tube sometimes falls off in my bag ... but I would buy these again and may try other flavors if I ever run out of this one.
