Moisturizers -Dr. Brandt - spf 30 bronze barrier face
rated 5 of 5

I am loving this stuff. It goes on beautifully and doesn't clog my pores. It has titanium dioxide so it is broad-spectrum, but since it is a bronzer, it doesn't give me that greyish cast. This does contain mica, so if you don't like those tiny sparkles, then this isn't the product for you. I love that I can just apply this, add a tiny dusting of powder on top and go.

Lotions/ Creams -L'Occitane - Shea Butter Foot Cream
rated 5 of 5

This is a very moisturizing foot cream that doesn't leave my feet feeling overly greasy or 'suffocated'. I apply this every night and my feet have stayed in tip top condition.

Gels/Soaps -L'Occitane - Milk bar soap
rated 4 of 5

This is a nice creamy soap that cleans well and doesn't leave my skin feeling stripped. Although I do like it, I wouldn't re-purchase it alone. If it comes in a kit, I would definitely use it instead of swapping it away, but I find that my regular Dove bar soap in the unscented or sensitive skin formulas are just as effective.

Lip Treatments -L'Occitane - Tinted Shea Butter Lipbalm
rated 4 of 5

These are super moisturizing and leave just a hint of color on me. My lips are already quite red, so the lighter shades aren't my preference. I wish that these had an spf though.

Lotions/ Creams -L'Occitane - 20% Shea Butter Hand Cream
rated 5 of 5
Colleen 5/5/2003 10:39:00 AM

I love love love this hand cream. I just need to use a little bit. If I use too much then it just takes too long to absorb and end up rubbing it on my arms. I find that the smell dissapates soon after it absorbs, so it doesn't bother me at all. This hand cream is a little pricey, but the tube is so huge and concentrated that it will last a long time.

Lip Treatments -Blistex - Clear Advantage Lip Balm
rated 5 of 5
Colleen 5/3/2003 11:20:00 AM

I love this stuff! It protects and keeps my lips super smooth. I like it better than Almay's puretints in clear because it doesn't leave my lips with that whitish cast. Finally a lip balm with avobenzone that doesn't taste gross.

Cleansers -Murad - Energizing Pomegranate Cleanser
rated 4 of 5
Colleen 5/1/2003 11:05:00 AM

This is a gentle cleanser that removes all makeup, leaves my face feeling clean and fresh, but not tight at all. The only problem is that I went through my bottle very quickly. This is a nice cleanser for the summer months.

Treatments -Frederic Fekkai - Protein RX Anti-Breakage Treatment Mask
rated 5 of 5
Colleen 5/1/2003 11:02:00 AM

This stuff leaves my hair so soft and not weighed down. I don't leave it on for as long as they recommend, but it still does a great job. I wish that it was in a tube though, because tubs just aren't as convenient. This is a definite winner.

Cleansers -Purpose - Gentle Cleansing Wash
rated 4 of 5
Colleen 4/2/2003 6:49:00 PM

This is a gentle cleanser that doesn't leave my face feeling stripped and removes all my makeup. I love the pump dispenser and the fact that it bubbles so much. It is reasonably priced and cleans much better than cetaphil.

Cleansers -Basis - Basis Cleaner Clean Face Wash
rated 4 of 5
Colleen 4/2/2003 6:47:00 PM

This left my face feeling super clean and removed all my makeup. My skin is normal/oily and I don't find it to be drying, but when my hubby used it on a regular basis, it dried him out. Both of us love the scent though.

Hair Color -L'Oreal - Couleur Experte -hair dye / highlight
rated 1 of 5

Another thumbs down for this product. If you are determined to try this product, I recommend using a shade that is very close to your natural shade and then doing the highlights first. If they work out, then great, but if they turn orange (like they did on me), you can use the all-over haircolor over top. I ended re-coloring my hair with Revlon Colorstay later in the day. This formula doesn't have ammonia, so my hair is in fine condition.

Styling Products -L'Oreal - Studio Line Volumatic Full-Up Mousse
rated 4 of 5
Colleen 3/28/2003 10:24:00 AM

I liked this mousse. I have normal/oily hair and it added more volume and bounce to my hair. I only apply a small amount to the roots of my hair and blow dry upside down.

Conditioner -L'Oreal - Nature's Therapy Unfrizz Smoothing Treatment
rated 4 of 5
Colleen 2/25/2003 10:05:00 AM

This is a great deep conditioner. I only use a tiny dab, comb it through, leave it on for a few minutes and it leaves my hair soft, tangle free and super manageable. I would prefer if it came in a tube instead of the tub for ease in the shower.

Lotions/ Creams -Aveeno - Daily Moisturizing Lotion

This is a great everyday body lotion. It is rich enough for drier skin types and doesn't leave any greasy residue.

Sunscreen -Neutrogena - Healthy Defense Oil-Free UVA/UVB block
rated 4 of 5
Colleen 1/8/2003 4:55:00 AM

I love the convenience of this spray. My hubby hates goopy sunscreens and loves the light feel of this sunscreen. It has parsol 1789, so it's broad spectrum. It does have an alcohol base, but that makes it feel light and the scent dissipates quickly.
