Mascara -Shiseido - Majolica Majorca Mascara Base
Cherrybello 5/10/2011 10:30:00 AM
Bought this in Japan with the mascara counterpart. I can not say the proper product name with a straight face, it just sound so funny! That aside, I love the MM mascara packaging! Its so adorable! I really like this base because it lengthens and makes my lashes look fatter when I put on the lash expander. You have to be careful with this product though, about one or 2 layers of this stuff before it gets clumpy after the mascara goes on it. Love!

It fitted the shape of my eyes very well, got this in Japan along with the MM mascara and base. Its very reasonably priced for the brand-name, and it holds the curl very well too. Love love love!

Mascara -Shiseido - Majolica Majorca Lash Expander Frame Plus
Cherrybello 5/10/2011 10:22:00 AM
My current HG mascara. It really lengthens my poor short lashes so that they are actually visible! I prefer using it with the lash bone (?), but it works perfectly fine without it in case I am in a hurry. It lasts, and is very waterproof! I have cried my eyes out while having this on, my eyeliner and eye shadow disappeared, but this mascara didn't budge, or come off in flakes at all. It comes off easily with waterproof eye makeup remover. Just soak a cotton pad with the makeup remover, leave it on your eye for about 30 secs, wipe, and it comes off clean. I am in love with this mascara!

Mascara -Maybelline - Magnum Volum Express Waterproof Mascara
Cherrybello 5/10/2011 10:14:00 AM
Had a chain of real bad luck with Maybeline Mascaras! They put their claim of being the founder of the whole mascara concept to shame. Although this is not a total disappointment like the pulse perfect, it actually does its job properly, I could have died when I look into the mirror at the ladies and see a panda in the reflection! My god, improve the waterproof-ness better, then I might start buying their products again. I used to love Maybeline, I am just really not happy with them recently...

Mascara -Maybelline - Pulse Perfection Waterproof [DISCONTINUED]
Cherrybello 5/10/2011 10:09:00 AM
This is the most disappointing Maybeline mascara I own. The other ones, if they don't do well in the waterproof department, they make it up with actually doing what they claim to do. I had a lot of expectations from this one because I saw some raving reviews on it. The end result was disappointing as I stated above. The vibration did nothing to "de-clump" my lashes for the meticulous application as it proclaims to do, it actually made my poor lashes into a huge clumpy mess, so bad I had to remove my eye makeup and start again. It works slightly better without the vibration, but not by much. Waterproof is next to non-existent, and it takes forever to dry. No matter how many chances I gave this product, it did not deliver.

Mascara -Maybelline - Lash Stiletto
Cherrybello 5/10/2011 10:00:00 AM
This is your generic Maybeline lengthening mascara. It does the job okay, but it seriously lacks in the waterproof department. It smudges onto the lower eye area, and it takes a while to dry. There is nothing special about this one for me.

Treatments (Eye) -Kiehls - Creamy Eye Treatment with Avocado
Cherrybello 5/10/2011 9:56:00 AM
Went on a skin care splurge recently, and this was once of the products I bought. I am starting to be very aware of the little fine lines that formed around under my eyes from my squinting with wrong prescription contacts. Been trying to rectify that mistake ever since, and I stumbled upon the raves about this product so decided to give it a try. It comes in Kiehl's signature plain tub, but I didn't really buy it for the packaging! As the name suggested, its indeed very creamy, and relatively scentless. A little goes a long way with this product for me, it is very hydrating. My fine line is not by all means gone, but its not as visible as it used to. I have used it for a month now, and I have barely put a dent in the tub. Will definitely repurchase... but not for quite a long time yet!

Masks -IPSA - Refiner Tone Up Cream Clay
Cherrybello 5/10/2011 9:47:00 AM
This is very different to my usual type of exfoliating products. It cleanses very well, but it leaves an oily residue on my face that I can't remove without washing my face with my normal cleanser, and my face gets as shiny as the moon if I don't finish up my skin routine within 5 minutes. 1 lippie off for the residue, and the difficulty to obtain the product. Otherwise its very effective!

Moisturizers -Clinique - Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion
Cherrybello 5/10/2011 9:39:00 AM
I bought this for my mum originally, in Dry to Very Dry version because I read the reviews of this on some Taiwanese version of MUA and she needed it for her seriously dry skin. The price is pretty reasonable as well! I ended up packing some of it for my trip to Tokyo in early Jan this year. Since I have combination with oily leanings, I was worried that it's gonna be too much for me. But thanks to this, my skin survived the super dry air inside the hotel room and the bitter coldness outside. Its seriously moisturising, a bit heavy in warmer weather, so I am going to buy the gel version for the oily to combi-oily for myself next. Will catch up for that one when I had a good go at it. The packaging received a 3 from me, because... while the pump is nice and handy, the square container makes it very difficult to clean out the product. Another reason to try the gel version, it comes in a tube!

Moisturizers -Laneige - Balancing Emulsion MOISTURE (formerly BE1)
Cherrybello 5/10/2011 9:27:00 AM
I actually used the BE 3_EX, but its the best emulsion I have tried so far. Its lightweight, moisturising, and not sticky at all. It absorbs relatively fast on days I didn't ex foliate, and even faster if I have used my IPSA clearing clay. This has been reformulated though into Balancing emulsion light/moisture, haven't tried it since the reformulation... but I love the older version. Is contemplating on buying the reformulated stuff. Fingers crossed!

Liquid -Bobbi Brown - Natural Finish- Long Lasting Foundation SPF 15 [DISCONTINUED]
Cherrybello 5/10/2011 9:20:00 AM
Temporarily ended my long search for a foundation that stays on my face without shining through on my T-zone within 3 hours. FINALLY! Owns it Beige 3. It provides medium coverage, I don't need it much anyway, I normally have no dire need for concealers, so this is just the right amount of coverage. Just put it on with a foundation brush and it just stays there after I set it with my powder. My stubborn T-zone still shines through, but not until well into the afternoon before I have to blot it, but it doesn't appear patchy so I don't really need to touch up with more powder! The only downside is that it really is expensive at my local Bobbi Brown counter ($84 for 30ml product, you gotta be joking!) But I can't complain, I got a hold of mine online for half the price so its all good :)

Eyeliner -Shu Uemura - Painting Liner
Cherrybello 5/10/2011 9:05:00 AM
Owns this in black. I have been alternating between this and the Bobbi Brown Gel liner ever since I bought it. Its creamy in consistency, extremely easy to work with in a simple clean line. It has a very intense colour (no back and forth motion...) and dries quickly once its on and it stays on very well over my UDPP. No smudging to my outer lower corner in hot weather if I extend it past my lashes. I am in LOVE with this!

Fragrances -Unlisted Brand - mat; by Masaki Matsushima
Cherrybello 5/10/2011 8:57:00 AM
This is my favourite perfume of all time. I received it as a gift for my birthday years ago, but I didn't wear it until recent years. Its not very strong at all, sitting between flowery and fruity with just the right combo and its just my kind of scent. Because both me and my bf loved it so much and its in a small bottle, I would love a new bigger bottle... but its not available in Australian shops. T_T

Toners -Laneige - Pore Trouble Skin Refiner
Cherrybello 11/13/2010 8:23:00 AM
This is a very nice toner for summer! Its nice and cooling effect makes it so relaxing to do skin routine. I know this toner is quite expensive to muck around with, but I soaked cotton pads with it and put it over my nose, cheeks and forehead. It does in fact refine my pores. It doesn't break me out, and its very light. Must switch back to Laneige for my summer skin routine!

Eyeliner -Kanebo - KATE Gel Eye Liner
Cherrybello 9/6/2010 8:09:00 AM
I own quite a few Japanese drugstore gel eyeliner, aside from my Cosmetex Roland one, this has the most tendency to either do a David Copperfield or migrate to where the eyeline meets my eyelid. It still does the same thing though, just not as conspiciously when I use UDPP to try and make it stay. On top of that, I bought it for about 6 month now, I hardly ever open it, and keeps it standing on its head for the sake of it not drying out... it's still drying out and becoming clumpy... I only ever use it now to practice my eyelines... but before it gets all dry and clumpy, it does have a rather smooth texture and it's quite pigmented. I have to say, the brush it comes with is amazing, its just as good as my BB ultra fine liner brush, no matter how often and roughly I wash it, it doesn't flay or anything! So I switch between these 2. Took 1 lippie off for the staying power, 1 more off for drying out too fast :(
