Treatments -Clinique - Repairwear Deep Wrinkle Concentrate For Face And Eyes
Charma22 7/15/2007 5:55:00 PM
This is actually a pretty amazing product. Some of the reviews just don't do it justice due to their incorrectly using this one. First of all, this is peptide based. For those that aren't familiar with peptides, peptides are one of the only ingredients that can actually stimulate the collegen in the skin to produce more collegen. However, in order to get results and keep results, you have to continue to use the peptides. For example, you see that your lines have slightly subsided, but then you stop using the product that they slowly come back. It's not because the product isn't working, it's because you must continue using the peptides. Also, when you've finished the product and you notice nothing, it doesn't mean that it's not working. Some people take longer to see results than others. If you want to see results fast, you may as well get botox then. Peptides need time to do their thing. Also, this isn't meant to be a moisturizer of any sort. Yes, it is a light watery lotion that you apply only where you have line and wrinkle concerns. Some people apply it just under the eyes, some apply it around the mouth and the forehead. Unless you have substantial line and wrinkling on your entire face, you wouldn't need to use it everywhere. After you apply this concentrate, you are supposed to apply an eye and face cream. The difference between this and a anti-wrinkle face cream is that most wrinkle face creams work on a wrinkle from side to side. But peptides work on a wrinkle from the bottom up---therefore trying to reduce the depth of the wrinkle. I was lucky enough to get this duty free, which means that mine doesn't come in the squeeze tube that they sell in the US, but in a pump bottle, which I like a lot. I also got it in a 50ML size, which is excellent. I believe that size was $69 there. I'm only on 1 month of use, and I can already tell that the lines under my eyes have slightly gotten better (which is fabulous cause it's only a month). I use this underneath their Repairwear Eye cream, which I have found that out of all the Clinique Eye Creams, this one is my favorite (however, I am yet to try their newer All about Eyes Rich cream). I will definately continue using this because 1) I have the jumbo size bottle and 2)the results are worth it!

Lipstick -Clinique - Colour Surge - Wow Violet
Charma22 7/15/2007 5:44:00 PM
WOW to the color of Wow Violet. This is a part of the Colour Surge lipstick line, which are longer lasting, moisturizing and providing full coverage. The color is a strong purple with a hint of pink undertones. When you wear this color, your lips are definately the focus. It's definately a glamourous color, a great alternative to wearing red lipstick. My lips are never dry with this. This is creamy and smooth. Plus, there is no smell :)

Bronzers -Guerlain - Terracotta Light Sheer Bronzing Powder- Brunette 02
Charma22 7/15/2007 4:48:00 PM
Wow. I don't think I've ever seen a bronzer this georgeous before. From the moment I saw it, a lemming was born. I purchased this 2 months ago and am still wearing it every single day. It's mulit-colored with different browns, golds and apricots---all of which are mixed together to produce the most realistic bronzy glow. Also, this isn't a heavy bronzer, which means that you won't a lot of dark streaks against your skin. There is a slight shimmer, but it's not glittery. Nor, is the shimmer intrusive. My only complaint, and it's a small one, is that I wish that it came with some sort of a small travel fan brush (like Clinique's), just in case I wanted to put it in my purse for the day. But, that won't stop me from wanting to repurchase this if I ever run out. I like sweeping it heavier along the cheeks, then lightly across the forehead, nose and chin. And it looks beautiful. I also light the round transclucent brown guerlain case it comes in. Very rich :)

Sunscreen -Neutrogena - Ultra Sheer Dry-Touch Sunblock SPF 70
Charma22 6/23/2007 6:10:00 PM
I love this sunscreen a lot! I was actually hesitant about trying it because there were no reviews for this at the time. But, then I found it on sale at Target for under $8, so I decided to try it since I love their spray spf with helioplex and I finally ran out of my Shiseido SPF 55 lotion and wasn't in the mood to spend another $37+ dollars on it.
Well, despite a slightly thicker texture, I actually like it. I've never tried the SPF 45 or 55 from Neutrogena, so I have nothing to compare. I do find that it takes a little bit more time so make sure that it disappears into the skin. Sometimes my boyfriend will rub a section on my face that I missed completely rubbing in. Also, I do find that if i'm not completely careful, it will start pilling a little bit...but not enough for me to not use it.
I am combination oily skin, and I do not find that this makes me oilier despite a thicker texture. Also, it has not broken me out at all. I like that it's oil-free.
Also, I do remember that the first couple times I used this, it irritated my eyes for just a few minutes after I applied it under my eyes and eye lid area, but now I can use it in those areas and it's fine.
I definately buy this again, I may try the SPF 55 just out of curiousity for it, but I am satisfied with the SPF 70 (really like the high protection).

Concealers -Make Up For Ever - Extreme Camouflage Cream
Charma22 5/12/2007 4:08:00 PM
Let me start off by saying that I've read the other reviews and the raves from others on the board, but the thing that put me off from buying it all this time was the $30 price tag. Well, I finally gave it and I LOVE IT! I actually do use this under my eyes since it covers so well. I don't have a problem with it drying my under eyes and I found that if I press, instead on pull the concealer to blend it in my eye area, it doesn't crease all day. I bought color #6 for my NC 30/35 skin tone since under eye concealer should be about 1/2 a shade lighter than your skin tone so that your eyes will look more awake. I love this one so much that I'm not sure which one I love more, my beloved BB correcter in Light Peach (which I've purchased 4x already) or this one. Plus the tube is a pretty substantial size and you only use a tiny drop of it each day. This should last me at LEAST a year. For those of you who find it too drying for undereyes, first apply a rich eye cream and then this concealer. It'll blend more evenly and your eye area won't feel dry.

Lipstick -Clinique - Long Last Lipstick - Sunlit Copper
Charma22 5/2/2007 12:54:00 PM
I was actually on the fence for the longest time when this lipcolor first came out. I liked that it was a soft shimmery bronzy peachy/gold. What I didn't like is the Long Last formula. This formula is a little thin, while being smooth. I like colors that stain the lips, and this one doesn't fit it. However, Saks was having a GWP and everything that I wanted was sold out! So, then I decided to take a chance on this lipstick since I was always so drawn to it. And yes, it is georgous. It's great for the summer and just highlights the lips in that pouty, nude, sexy way. I wear their Uplight highlighter as my foundation (also purchased for the gwp), a little pressed powder, eyeliner and a nudish brownie lipliner (just outlined and slightly blended in) and then this lipcolor. Georgeous!...plus this looks fabulous with Mac Purrr Lipglass on top!

Liquid -Clinique - Stay True [DISCONTINUED]
Charma22 4/29/2007 5:57:00 PM
First of all, I must say that the colors for this foundation are the absolute worst! Not one golden undertone :(. However, what I do like about this is that it wears all day on my oily skin. This is definately Clinique's most oil control foundation (right behind their Clarifying Makeup). This gives great coverge (moderate). I like mixing it with my L'oreal HIP foundation, which is a tad too yellowy, even more me (who is jaundiced). And it looks pretty good. It doesn't break apart of my face, like others do when they mix with my oiliness. For reference I am about a MAC 30/35, Nars Oil-Free Barcelona, and I use Stay Golden mixed with the 2nd lightest L'Oreal HIP foundation.
If you can find a match, and you are super oily, this should definately be a contender.

Lipstick -Lancome - Color Design - Trendy Mauve
Charma22 3/24/2007 5:00:00 PM
This is a gorgeous MLBB shade in a pinky mauve with a hint of brown tone. I actually purchased this at Sephora about 1 1/2 months ago not really wanting it...i really wanted Chanel Silhouette in the Rouge Allure l/s, but Sephora doesn't sell Chanel anymore. Anyways, I love this formula of l/s. Trendy Mauve is a cream lipstick meaning that it gives fantastic coverage without being overly creamy, and imparts a super soft gloss in the end. I actually really like the lipstick tube design as well. Very sleek and sexy. Right now at Nordstrom, Lancome is in gwp and this l/s is included, so of course I had to get it (plus the gwp is amazingly great). And b/c of this fabulous l/s find for me, to get that gwp, i got another Color Design L/S in the color Backstage Beauty (reddish brown with a hint of berry). I love these. The cost is only $21, which is much lower than their other lipsticks. My coloring is about a Mac NC 30, Clinique Warm Buff, Lorac 04, MUFE 04.

Liquid -LORAC - LORAC Satin Makeup
Charma22 1/17/2007 3:15:00 PM
This is a very nice smooth sheer makeup. The color range is excellent for fair to medium tones. I liked the fact that this is supposed to be soothing for the skin, doesn't clog my pores, and when my skin is completely clear, makes me look even more flawless. I bought m5, even though I would have preferred m4, but they were sold out of that color. Still, b/c it's a sheer makeup m5 still looks very good. What i like about these colors are that they are more yellow toned than many of the foundations out there. I would like Lorac to come out w/ a foundation with moderate to full coverage in the same color scheme. Even though this doesn't have SPF, i like that so that when i'm photographed, it doesn't flash white, plus I'm religious about wearing a good sunscreen underneath anyway.

Lip Gloss -Clinique - Glosswear for lips in Juicy Apple
Charma22 1/17/2007 3:09:00 PM
Juicy Apple is a great sheer just bitten raspberry red lip color. The color applies evenly and smoothly. The worst part of this is the awful smell that accompanies this. But, I have found a way to rememdy this. I dip the sponge tip applicator twice in a little pool of mint oil (the kind you use for cooking so that it's totally edible), and now my beautiful Juicy Apple smells minty instead. I'm going to experiment with cinnamon and vanilla next. Now, I'm going to be buying more Clinique glosses now that I can get rid of their smell. Now it's an A+.

Lipstick -L'Oreal - Endless PLatinum - Shimmering Sandstone
Charma22 1/7/2007 11:36:00 AM
This is a georgeous brown red w/ slightly more red tones than brown. But, it's georgeous. B/c it's a part of the Platinum series, it has some shimmer, but that shimmer only adds to the appeal. It's very long wearing, not too drying and it's more of a matte finish. You can apply gloss over it b/c it'll break up the wear of the l/s. These are currently my HG lipsticks. I have 5 colors. I am a moderately fair yellow toned girl, and this color is beautiful on me. You can find these on sale many times at places such as Ulta (I got this one for $4.99 on sale).

Eyeliner -Clinique - Kohl Shaper for Eyes in
Charma22 1/6/2007 3:14:00 PM
While the pigmentation and the color selection are very good, and the idea of the sharpener being ready for you in the cap is appealing, these are the most smudgable pencils I've ever tried! Some people may like that aspect, but b/c of my eye shape, I like more precision and long wear. If i decide to put it along the lower lash line, w/in 5 minutes it's going to look very messy. This just migrates everywhere along the eyes. Plus, b/c it's very smudgeable, the wear isn't too great. Within a few hours, once was a super dark precise line, will look light and muddled and just plain messy. The idea was excellent, just the product is mediocre.

Deodorants -Unlisted Brand - Teen Spirit - Strawberry
Charma22 1/6/2007 3:10:00 PM
I've already repurchased and I haven't even finished the first one. I love the Teen Spirit line b/c first of all, it's so inexpensive, i think i paid $1.99, and the scents are the best! This one smells like a super fresh version of the body shop's strawberry body butter (which I also Love!).

Lipstick -Clinique - High Impact Lip Colour SPF 15 - Toasted Rose
Charma22 1/6/2007 3:04:00 PM
This is an okay color. While i love the formula (creamy, full coverage, moisturizing, very nice wear), the color is a medium cool toned pink w/ a hint of mauve and grey undertones. Not quite the most flattering color. The great thing though is that there is no shimmer, just a soft shine.

Cleansers -Clinique - Acne Solutions Cleansing Foam
Charma22 1/6/2007 3:00:00 PM
I recently had an allergic reaction to a foundation so my skin was just a pizza face. I had been using Clean and Clears Foaming Cleanser for it's antibacterial properties as my mu remover, but strapped for cash (yeah, I know C&C is only $3.49..haha), but payday happened over the weekend :( ), so I had a tester of this stuff. I used to use it maybe 2 years ago along w/ the Clinique 3-step for combo/oily skin, but I noticed that I was using this mu remover like mad, so i stopped using it to try something else. Well, since my money was short for at least 2 days :), I decided to try this b/c I still wanted to use something that may help aid my skin in repairing itself of my acne. Well, this stuff is just okay to me. Once I'm through with it, come thursday I'm going back to using C&C. It takes off mu okay. I have to use it twice b/c my normal cleanser b/c with 2 pumps of this stuff, I don't feel like it's taking it all off. It's foamy, but not in a way that it's dissolving mu. So then I'm using about 4 pumps whenever I need a mu remover, so I can see myself being through the whole bottle within a few weeks, and at $17.50, it would add up fast. Will I repurchase this if I ever make millions?....hmmm...don't know...depends upon whether or not, I forget these results and think, maybe I liked it. If I decide to go back to Clinique 3-step, i may just b/c I like the idea of using a system. But I do like the pump, just wish the foam didn't disappear as fast on my face or for that matter, in the bottle. Also, I don't know if it's helping my acne. With my mu remover and regular cleanser, I try to massage it into my skin for a good minute or so, so that my skin can gain more of the benefits of the ingredients. Is this helping my acne? Don't know yet, it's too soon to tell, i just hope that it's not hurting my skin. Update**** I've been using this as my makeup remover for months and I love it!!!!!! I actually realized that I was using too many pumps, just 2 tops is all I need per day. I love this stuff. It really works well at taking off my makeup.
