Eye Primer -Urban Decay - Eyeshadow Primer Potion - Original (UDPP)

I get all the hype about this because it does actually work. I have tried this with different kinds of eyeshadow like elf, sephora, mac and UD. It makes the eyeshadow last very long and seriously does not crease on me for a good 8 hrs. I can't say if it will last longer than that since I have never needed to wear makeup longer than that. I still have yet to try it when it is hot out when my eyelids might get oilier but I highly doubt this will crease. I will definitely buy this again.

Eyeliner -Sephora - Smokey Cream Liner
rated 5 of 5

I actually really like this eyeliner. It's good quality. I have had mine for a while and it has not dried up yet. It doesn't smudge at all and stays on all day. The price is really good considering it's not that much more expensive than a drugstore product. The only thing with this is that it dries quickly which is great but if you even make a mistake you would have to literally remove it with a makeup remover. This isn't good for smudging. I definitely would buy this again because it's perfect for covering gaps between false lashes and your eyelid.

Pressed Powders -MAC - Blot Powder - Dark

I don't mind this at all. I mean it does what it's suppose to do but I can't say I am in love with it. I know some people use a powder brush to apply this, I do too and it works fine for a few hours. I found the best way to actually apply this is to blot it on your face just like what the product says. I only usually have to use this once in 8 hrs as long as I have a good primer and blot the oil off my face first. I apply this right after and it just completely makes it matte until I have to take my makeup of for the evening, I'm sure there are better mattifying powders out there.

Eye Shadow -Make Up For Ever - Eye shadows

I have the matte 156 and I am in love with it. It looks amazing on the brow bone area especially if you have dark skin. It is so pigmented so I only have to use a little bit of it. It's not that much more expensive than mac and in my opinion it's a better quality. I would definitely repurchase this colour again. The packaging is crappy. I get it's black and simple but for the price at least add an eyeshadow applicator. Dior is just as as good in terms of pigmentation and you can buy the quads for cheaper price. As far as I know they are both from France. I wish MUF would change their packaging since average people can buy it now.

Highlighters -MAC - Mineralize Skinfinish in Soft and Gentle
rated 4 of 5
Cayla29S 1/29/2012 12:50:00 AM

I got this because I have been hearing a lot good reviews about this. I do love this because it suits my skintone. You just need a light hand and if you use the right brush it then it looks very nice. It could be too glittery if you apply too much. When I use it I just dust off most of the glitter and just gently pat the colour. I have a bit of dryness on my upper cheek so I make sure that area is moisturized before I apply it. I think this will last for a very long time.

Eyeliner -NARS - Rue bonaparte
rated 5 of 5
Cayla29S 1/29/2012 12:37:00 AM

I just got this from sephora. I have been looking to get a nude colour for my waterline and I have to say this is the only one that actually stays put. Because my eyes do get watery at times it does tend to slightly disappear overtime but I have tried other waterproof ones before and I can't even get it to stay. Bonaparte was the only one I could find in sephora that was nude and waterproof. It was $25 so I think that is really expensive for an eyeliner needless I bought it. It will last for a while though I have not use the built in sharpener yet so I will update and see how functional this is. Definitely buy this.

Palettes -E.L.F. - ENDLESS EYES 100 EYESHADOW PALETTE
rated 2 of 5
Cayla29S 1/29/2012 12:27:00 AM

I got this palette at my local Winners here in Canada. It was 9.99 which is really cheap. I have never seen this anywhere else but on youtube or online. I bought it because i thought for the amount of eyeshadow you get, it was worth the price. At first I liked it because of the variety of colours. The I got the UD naked palette and realized how awful the ELF palette is. Some colours are pigmented and some are not. It is also very hard to apply and you have to really pack it to get it to the shade you want. Most of it fall out when you apply it and just really chalky. Since it was really cheap i don't feel bad about buying it, I can use some colours but it's annoying when you are in a rush and you have to pack so much of it. This is good for people that are on a budget and if it's your first eyeshadow pallete other than save your money for a higher end brand.

Masks -Origins - Drink Up
rated 5 of 5
Cayla29S 12/28/2011 4:09:00 PM

This is my go to mask when my skin is dehydrated. I have been using the origins line for a while now including my clarisonic brush. I use to get quite a bit of dry patches which is why i bought this product months ago. With all the cream and clarisonic brush i have been using I haven't had too much dry patches and rarely i get any. I have not been using this mask too often but when I use it, it does get rid of dry areas. I leave it on for more than 10 minutes and it works great. If I do need it for my face then I will defintely buy it.

Cleansers -Origins - Checks and Balances
rated 5 of 5
Cayla29S 12/28/2011 3:43:00 PM

this face cleanser is really good. It doesn't leave my face dry at all after using it. To be fair I use this with my clarisonic mia and it's perfect for it because it lathers. I have also used the cleanser without the clarisonic in the morning and it works just as good. It's about $23 where I bought it. I don't think that is too expensive for the amount of product I'm getting. You only need a little bit of it to work so no complaints with that.

Moisturizers -Origins - NIght-A-Mins Cream
rated 5 of 5
Cayla29S 12/28/2011 3:05:00 PM

Note this review is for the Oil Free version of this product. I originally had the enriched cream which I loved. However it was too moisturizing for me and I would wake up with oil sitting on my forehead. I'm glad they came out with the oil free version. I really love the texture of it which reminds me of a serum I would definitely buy this again. I love the smell of it and and this is just perfect for my skin. I have no complaints. Yes its expensive but there's so much product in the container and this will last me for a while.

Treatments (Eye) -Origins - A Perfect World for Eyes
rated 4 of 5
Cayla29S 12/28/2011 2:55:00 PM

I started using this eye cream about 7 months ago. It feels really nice when you apply it as it doesn't leave any product just sitting on top of your skin. You just need a tiny bit and massage it. I don't have any wrinkles around my eyes but just a bit of dryness. This is a good preventative for aging skin. It is expensive but I have had mine for at least 6 months though the bottle says 6 months best before use but it smells okay. It is also very gentle as i have used other eye creams in the past and they made my eyes itchy but not this one.

Scrubs -Origins - Modern Friction
rated 5 of 5
Cayla29S 12/28/2011 2:46:00 PM

I just got this as a sample but yet have to purchase the full bottle. I really like this. It makes my face so smooth right after using it. I apply this on dry skin first then I splash a bit of water on my hands then rub it gently. iI find this gets the best results. This product is a bit expensive but If I were to buy the whole bottle I can imagine it lasting for at least a year as you need so little of it for the face. It's worth every penny in my opinion.

Blush -TheBalm - Down Boy
rated 5 of 5
Cayla29S 12/24/2011 2:35:00 AM

I have been dying to get this blush and it finally went on sale at my local drugstore. I knew this color would look good on my fairly dark skin tone since I have another one that's a similar shade by Almay. I love the color of this. It is so pigmented and you can apply more if you want and it looks just as good. The bonus of this is that it would look great on any skin tone. My only pet peeve with this product is the price. It was $18.99 where I got it and it's normally $25+. I have never seen this anywhere else where I'm from for a cheaper price. Plus, I'm not a big fan of the packaging. I love the retro vibe to it but it looks so cheap. I would but it again though just because it's hard to find that perfect pink blush for myself. Update: I wore this blush for about 8 hrs and it's still on my face. it definitely has lasting power...I might purchase some more...:)

Primer/ Corrector -Lancome - La Base Pro
rated 2 of 5
Cayla29S 12/24/2011 2:24:00 AM

I've been wanting to try this for a while since my current primer is almost out. I tested this on my hand a few times at different stores and I loved how it feels after putting it on. Finally I went to sephora and got a sample to test it out with my Mac F&B. I have to say that I have never been this disappointed with any makeup product until now. I have slightly oily skin and I believe that this is supposed to be oil free. Yes, it is silky smooth when you apply it however it does not work at all with my foundation. Maybe mine is too watery in texture but who knows. I found that it made it harder to apply Mac F&B. It did not cover up any pores and I don't even have huge ones. It did not make my foundation last at all. My face was the oiliest I have ever seen with makeup on. I gave it a try a couple times and it's the same thing. When I blotted with a paper, it completely rubbed the foundation off and I know it's not the blotting paper. This is such an expensive product and I was expecting great results with it. I'm currently using Gosh velvet primer for half the cost of that and it works way better than this. Arghh! Lancome this is a horrendous product..

Lips -Revlon - Colorburst Lip Butter in Red Velvet
rated 3 of 5
Cayla29S 12/23/2011 9:01:00 PM

I was a bit surprised by this shade. I bought Gumdrop and Cotton Candy and these 2 are quite sheer. RV is so pigmented just like lipstick. I'm not sure if I personally like this particular shade on me but I can make it work. I wish they would make all the lip butters more pigmented or just call it lipstick with all the same formula. I feel like this whole line is a bit of gimmick. It's practically a tinted lipbalm. Burt's bees make better ones and it's half the price. The most annoying about drugstore product is sometimes they never have a tester of the color so you have no clue what it looks like on you. I feel that they are never true to the color that is in the package. I won't be buying any of these lip butters..I don't get what's with all the hype about these and I can't believe I fell for it.
