Goes on well and looks good. I have very fair skin and it's one of the few foundations that has a good match light enough for my skin.

Shampoo -The Body Shop - Ginger Shampoo Normal/Dry hair and Loose Dandruff

I like the smell, but it doesn't do squat for dandruff. there are much better dandruff shampoos available. But if you like the scent of ginger and want to treat yourself, this is an ok choice.

Scrubs -The Body Shop - coconut body scrub
rated 2 of 5
Catzel 1/6/2006 12:15:00 AM

Basically feels like mineral oil mixed with some rough plastic particles, although according to the label, it contains sunflower, sesame, and soybean oils and salt. It does leave a greasy coating and a very slippery shower. I like the smell of coconut, so that's one of the things I actually liked about this product.

I love the smell, and the way it sinks in quickly and moisturizes without feeling greasy. One of my favorite TBS products.

Treatments -Ocean Potion - clear zinc oxide spf45
rated 1 of 5
Catzel 1/6/2006 12:02:00 AM

I am not favorably impressed by this sunscreen and will not wear it. It contains only 1% zinc oxide, far too low to provide adequate UVA protection. This sunscreen may contain enough protection to prevent obvious burning from UVB rays for some people, if it doesn't provide adequate UVA protection, why use it?

Treatments -Neutrogena - Healthy Skin Anti-Wrinkle Intensive Serum
rated 2 of 5

My skin rarely breaks out, but after a few days use of this product, I had three large, red, painful, cystic breakouts. I stopped using it and no more breakouts.

Shampoo -Neutrogena - T/Gel anti-dandruff for normal to dry hair
rated 1 of 5

Not worth the money. DHS Tar Gel shampoo is more effective, but also more expensive. But considering that the Neutrogena tar shampoo does nothing for me except make my scalp itch, buying the Neutrogewna is throwing away money anyway.

Toners -Unlisted Brand - Vinegar Toner
rated 5 of 5

Mixing vinegar, whether ACV or plain generic distilled white, with moisturizer makes a great exfoliant. Use half vinegar and half moisturizer and apply to face, legs, wherever you wish to exfoliate. Leave on for 15 minutes or more, then rinse. Works well to help prevent ingrown hairs after epilation.

Fragrance -Caswell-Massey - lime

This review is for the lime soap. It has a rather musty scent -- not a true citrusy lime.

Lotions/ Creams -Aveeno - Daily Moisturizing Lotion

My HG for a moisturizer. Sinks in well, works very well, and isn't sticky or greasy. I don't care much for the scent, but I can ignore it. I've been using it for years.

Cleansers -Cetaphil - Gentle Skin Cleanser
rated 4 of 5
Catzel 1/5/2006 9:43:00 PM

It's true that it's not good for removing makeup, but I like it for other cleansing. It doesn't leave my skin dry, and I don't require a post-cleansing moisturizer. I've also used it as a "wipe-down" cleanser after working out if I'm at home and don't have time to shower. Apply with a dry washcloth, then rinse off with a damp one or wipe off with a dry one. Also keeps my body skin from drying out.

Gels/Soaps -Bath and Body Works - Aromatherapy Orange Ginger Body Wash

Scent is rather weak during use, and doesn't last. I like the orange ginger scent, but wouldn't buy this even on sale

Fragrances -Courreges - Empreinte
rated 5 of 5
Catzel 12/25/2005 9:53:00 PM

I've worn this for 30 years and it's still my favorite scent. It's in the chypre family, typified by the presence of oak moss, iris, and musk and amber components.

Conditioner -Aveda - Blue Malva conditioner
rated 2 of 5
Catzel 8/5/2005 3:06:00 PM

I have medium golden brown hair that has picked up some brassiness. I bought the blue malva to try to tone down the brassiness. The blue malva did nothing to help. This is a nice conditioner, but you can find nice conditioners for a lot less $$, and it didn't do the job it is advertised to do.
