Loose Powders -New York Color - loose translucent powder
BellaGlam 6/22/2010 11:55:00 PM
This was the first setting powder I ever tried way back when I first started wearing makeup. I didn't even know it was setting powder I just knew I needed powder and I didn't like the pressed kind.
I think this is a great product though, it leave a nice smooth non-powdery looking finish, it's dirt cheep, the packaging is a little bulky and not travel friendly but that fine by me.
I have moved on to bigger and better loose powders but I always keep on of these in the back of my face drawer just in case, because I do think it is a great product!
Mascara -E.L.F. - Wet Gloss Lash and Brow Clear Mascara
BellaGlam 6/21/2010 8:28:00 PM
My mom bought one of those natural eye's complete look ELF kits from a discount store when we were on vacation because out luggage with her makeup bag got lost and she basically wanted the eyeshadow and the brush, and it had this product in it and she gave it to me because I've really been wanting to try a brow gel. I didn't even use the mascara and I don't really plan to but I have been using the brow gel everyday for about a month now because when I first wake up my brows can look a little crazy.
It's an okay product does the job, doesn't make my eyebrows look thick and hard or anything. The only thing I don't like is how the packaging is clear and it is getting dirty and disgusting looking because of my powder bow color I apply first...Worth a dollar though I guess : )
Mascara -Rimmel - Volume Flash The Max in Extreme Black 003
BellaGlam 6/21/2010 8:18:00 PM
Overall I was pleasantly surprised by this mascara. I picked it because I had a 3 dollar off any Rimmel mascara and wanted to by another Sexy Curves (because I loved it) but they only had waterproof which I'm not a fan of so anyway the pink tube caught my eye on this one and it ended up being like 2 dollars so why not right? Anyway it says the brush is huge...it's really not that big and it's nothing fancy but it does a pretty good job, it's a little more watery then I'm used to but I like to use it over my HG Lashblast and it looks really great, though I'm not sure why. I don't love it on it's own it clumps really bad but with the other one it looks amazing.
I bought the at Kmart because I LOVE the ELF brand and I needed a good under eye concealer and It was only a dollar so I thought why not?
Yeah waste of money...I got the lightest shade and it's too orange, it's really creamy & has amazing coverage but it sinks into the lines under my eyes and almost emphasizes that I have a problem area there...
The scent is a little strange, like an orange creamsicle or something, not unpleasant to me but very strong.
I found this would be a dream for blemishes because it's so creamy and wouldn't make them look cakey and dry but it's too orange colored for me so had to toss it.
Lip Treatments -eos - Lip Balm Sphere - Summer Fruit
BellaGlam 6/20/2010 10:53:00 PM
I'll admit I ran out to get this because of the Youtube hype, I mean how can you say no that packaging!?!?
When I actually tired it I fell in LOVE though, people say it's not very moisturizing but I actually think it is but it's a little hard to tell because It doesn't leave the film on your lips that one with wax would leave and I like that, it's a light feeling not gunky at all. I also love the scent, I went back and picked up the honeydew melon one but I prefer the summer fruit one.
LOVE IT! Will for sure repurchase.
Powder -Maybelline - Mineral Power Powder Foundation

This product worked horrible for me, It made my skin so dry and flaky even if I used a good moisturizer and primer, it didn't blend very will and sunk into my pores and enlarged them,
This was the first drugstore smart shade makeup that came out in my area so I was super excited to pick it up. Initially I loved it, it acted kind of like a tinted moisturizer. It gave me sheer coverage and didn't look cakey or flaky.
After a while I did notice the shade I bought started to oxidize to an orange color, so I tossed it...maybe it was just getting old, I don't know but I would not repurchase this product or recommend it to anyone.
Fragrances -Elizabeth Arden - Fantasy Britney spears

I love this perfume, and you can get it for pretty much dirt cheep now at a drugstore Walmart ect...
The scent reminds me of cotton candy but with a more sophisticated twist, it is very very sweet and girly but not sickly sweet in my opinion. The lasting power is great, I spray a little on in the morning and I can still smell it on myself when I get home. I also Love the bottle pink with rhinestones some people might say it's tacky but it's soo me!
This is a pretty good liquid liner, I have the brown shade.
It has a nice brush (wish it was a little thinner) Applies smoothly and dries fast, lasts pretty long if you set it with a powder on top.
I LOVE these polishes! For $1.50 I am perfectly fine with having to apply 2 or three coats, they keep from chipping for a good amount of time. & the colors are so unique and amazing for drugstore polishes. I will continue to buy these over and over I really do think they are quality polishes for the price.
This is my absolute favorite pink lipstick and my dare I say it maybe even my favorite MAC lipstick I own!
A lot of people say this shade isn't wearable but I think it is very wearable, I actually like how you can build the color up, so you can wear it in the day time or apply a little more and make it shocking and bright for nighttime. I like the finish as well. Overall I LOVE this lipstick, I have 3 backups and will probably go get more before I can't get my hands on it anymore because I don't know what I would do without it!
I really wanted to love this foundation, for a while I actually liked it a lot.
It was easy to blend, decent color match, the bottle has a really nice pump, but it wasn't very long wearing in the sense that like an hour after I applied it it started to oxidize to an orange color (I tried two shades, and mixing them) and it sunk into my pores and made them look HUGE, no good at all : (
These are AMAZING! I bought every shade during the last 50 percent off sale ELF had.
They are so pigmented, long lasting, easy to blend...maybe a little shimmery for some but they can really be worked into pretty natural day look. I love the packaging, and the price is amazing...Some of the matte ones fall a little short but the shimmery ones are like a dream, these shadows have been my reach for them everyday staple since I got them in my mailbox!
Styling Products -Paul Mitchell - Super Skinny Serum

This product is a god send, if I had to pick one hair product I could not live without this might just be it. I use little of this on my curly, ultra dry frizzy hair when I get out of the shower and it makes my curls shinny, soft, and healthy looking. I also use it when I flat iron (which is almost everyday) and it makes my hair look so shinny and polished looking. & unlike my CHI Silk Infusion I don't feel like this makes my hair look greasy ever. Also the price is right because a bottle lasts me foreeevvverr!
I use this in my travel brushes (like the ones I keeps in my makeup bag for my purse) and it's actually pretty decent, for sure worth ever cent of the one dollar it cost.
It's dense, not the softest ever but no scratchy or hard on the lid, picks up color well.
I use it for my all over lid color. I had no problem with mine shedding but thats because I wash all my brushes and get all the loose hairs out before I use them because I have VERY sensitive eyes.
