This smells like CK "Escape", from the early '90s.

Lips -Revlon - Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain- Darling
rated 4 of 5
BeeBonnet 8/10/2012 1:50:00 PM

Since I already have a couple of the Clinique "chubbies", I also wanted to try these from Revlon at a less expensive price. They are very similar in packaging, and the product wears about the same as well. While the Clinique sticks had no scent or flavor to speak of, the Revlon balm stains have a hint of minty taste sort of like Wrigleys doublemint gum, but milder. The color I'm reviewing, "Darling", is a lavender pink which looks great with my fair cool complextion. I'm really liking the comeback of these swivel "sticks" for their convenience and the casual light look at times I don't want to get all dolled up but still look nice. Will try more of these to keep in my purse, powder room, desk... all over!

Treatments -Trader Joe's - Tea Tree Oil
rated 5 of 5
BeeBonnet 8/10/2012 10:31:00 AM

I'm going natural.... and seeing for myself it is best. Recently started using tea tree oil for 2 things. First, to aid in healing occasional hormonal outbreaks, as well as Lupus "blisters" that nothing else worked on. THIS does. My only complaint is that the small glass TJ's bottle is a pain, it drips down the side if you try to pour it out the usual way. So, I insert a clean Q-tip and then dilute it with a little water, saline, or aloe vera gel to spot apply. My other use for this is as a disinfectant after I wash my makeup brushes in baby shampoo. As a final rinse after they are clean of makeup residue, I dip them in a solution of water and tea tree oil. Looks like I've found a price wise staple I can not be without now.

Eye Makeup Remover -Trader Joe's - Spa 100% Pure Jojoba Oil
rated 5 of 5
BeeBonnet 8/10/2012 10:18:00 AM

Never would have imagined in my 48 yrs on earth that I could put oil on my face and A) not look like a grease pit. B) Break out terribly. C) Be able to apply powder (or any) makeup on top of it. Well, I was wrong because in my desperation to help my now perimenopausal skin appear smoother, firmer, and better hydrated, I tried this and it turns out my skin loves it. This is a BIG deal for me since I've suffered with unrelentling skin issues since the age of 11 ranging from acne, allergies and Lupus. Twice a day after washing my face with Philosophy Purity cleanser, I've been mixing 1- 2 drops of Jojoba with my moisturizer (usually CeraVe) and this sinks right in with no greasey residue on my face or neck. I see a difference already in just 3 weeks. My fine lines are gone and my skin looks more radiant and healthy. I also use it to remove eye make up and it does not irritate my eyes. HG for sure from now on! Edited to add: For an inexpensive quick fix to mascara mishaps, without tugging at delicate skin~ I simply dab a bit of jojoba oil onto a Q-tip and lightly fix up the area, then turn the Q-tip over to the clean side to smooth any residue.

Polishes -Sally Hansen - Diamond Strength Nail Colour in Diamonds
rated 5 of 5
BeeBonnet 8/9/2012 10:52:00 AM

Elegant yet easy to wear. The micro sparkles in this polish make it stand apart from other chunky glitter polishes aimed at a younger girl. One coat achieves a clear crisp look which from a distance looks like white clean nails. Two coats sufficiently covers, applies easily and dries quickly to a softly glistening delicate white. This product is very similar to Essie Luxeffects in "Pure Pearlfection", however compared side by side, the slight difference being that Essie is more silverish than SH "Diamonds", which appears more on the white side. As a plus, even the packaging in very nice.

Gels/Soaps -Trader Joe's - Oatmeal and Honey Soap
rated 5 of 5
BeeBonnet 8/5/2012 3:05:00 PM

As others have already said, this soap is a great find, especially pricewise. Natural ingredients, long lasting, creamy lather, moisturizing, and the scent is soothing and light... like oatmeal cookies. What's not to love?

Lipstick -MAC - Frost - Angel
rated 2 of 5
BeeBonnet 7/29/2012 5:48:00 PM

I agree with the reviewer below.... this was not what I expected once applied. Something is off with this formulation...not sure what... but it makes me look sickly... the frost doesn't help matters. The only way I could get it to look halfway decent at all was to FIRST apply gloss with Angel over it. The color is a lovely delicate pink in the tube, but I now think it's best suited for someone with a medium, warmer skin tone.

Polishes -OPI - Fly
rated 5 of 5
BeeBonnet 7/21/2012 6:59:00 PM

This is the shade I had wished "For Audrey" (China Glaze) was going to be, as that was too much on the greener side for me. Fly is an aqua that leans more towards blue. The formula is wonderful, streak-free, almost jelly-ish, and dries VERY shiney even without a topcoat. If you like blues, this is one to get!

Powder -Physicians Formula - Mineral Wear Talc-Free Mineral Airbrushing Pressed Powder SPF 30
rated 3 of 5
BeeBonnet 5/25/2012 4:04:00 PM

My latest HG drugstore powder is PF "Youthful Wear". Problem is, it must be the HG of many other ladies as well, because it's always sold out.... everywhere I look. So I thought I'd give this "Mineral AIr-Brushing" powder a whirl. Looks nice.... shiney aqua case, pretty ripples of powder. Not the same. It's much drier (chalky) than the Youthful Wear, and where is the violet scent, which I've come to really enjoy in some PF porducts?! I do like that it has a SPF 30, so I'll give it a fair shot this summer while continuing the hunt for my beloved Youthful Wear powder, but it's very doubtful I will repurchase this product.

Powder -Milani - Multitasker
rated 3 of 5
BeeBonnet 5/23/2012 7:38:00 AM

After Milani's illuminating powder caught my attention, I thought I'd next try this multitasking powder as well. While Milani's new packaging is very attractive, this powder is not all that special in my opinion. I had hopes that it would be similar to my drugstore HG (for the time being) Physician's Formula "Youthful Wear" . In comparison, the PF is better for my 40+ drier skin since it's creamier and smoother so it doesn't settle on fine lines or get flakey or cakey. The coverage is better with the PF and I also happen to enjoy the soft violet scent. I think Milani's powder (light-medium) is closer to my coloring than PF shades....however Milani overall is better suited for someone younger, with normal- oily skin and is good quality for the price.

Highlighters -Milani - Illuminating Face Powder
rated 4 of 5
BeeBonnet 5/7/2012 3:17:00 PM

# 01 Amber Nectar~ To be honest, this little beauty was so attractive it caught my eye although I usually breeze by the Milani displays. For most, ok ALL of my adult life I thought being so fair I was limited to wearing only pink tones. In the past, all the sunkissed peachy or bronzey colors made me feel clownish or "muddy". This one is different.... with a couple of swipes with my stripple blush, this applies like a dream and looks incredibly natural with my light complextion which leans towards cool tones. Today I am wearing it with paired with Milani's "Liquif'eye" aqua liner (makes my hazel eyes POP) and L'Oreal #218 Rose Elixer Lip Balm for a pretty beachy look.

Fragrances -J. Lo - Glow
rated 2 of 5
BeeBonnet 4/25/2012 7:51:00 AM

Save your money (Miss Lopez has been riding the cash train long enough now) and get the dupe in CVS or Walgreens. I tested it yesterday and the lasting power was great... I can still smell it on my jacket today. Probably dating myself here, but this reminds me exactly of a scent that Cher put out in the late 80's, called "Uninhibited".

Lip Treatments -eos - Lip Balm Sphere - Summer Fruit
rated 3 of 5
BeeBonnet 4/22/2012 2:51:00 PM

I'm on the fence about this. It's different than most lip balms because once applied, there is no significant texture to the product (which isn't necesarily bad) to get the feeling it's doing "something" for the money....seems like a whole lotta nothin' disguised in a cute little contraption....ALTHOUGH my lips have felt really smooth and comfortable since I've been using this everyday. The flavor of the "summer fruit" claims to be a mix of berries and peaches.... yeah well all I'm getting is peach. Really not sure if I'd purchase this in another flavor if the mood strikes, however I think this is a good lip product for guys since it doesn't look glossy on the lips.

Fragrances -Victoria's Secret - Vanilla Lace Silkening Body Splash
rated 5 of 5
BeeBonnet 4/18/2012 9:31:00 AM

This is one of the few VS scents I don't find obnoxious. For a body splash it has very good lasting power. As a vanilla scent, this is one of the best for the price... and I much prefer it to Bath and Body Works "Warm Vanilla Sugar" which is very weak and boring. I also love the VL drydown as it morphs into a slight hint of coconut/cake hours later! Nice on days I don't feel like wearing fancy perfume or going out anywhere special but still want to smell good while just relaxing.

Masks -Freeman - Dead Sea Minerals Facial Anti-Stress Mask
rated 5 of 5
BeeBonnet 4/16/2012 7:50:00 AM

WOW! I'm wondering why are there not more reviews for this wonderful product?! Lately I've had an unusual streak of good luck with new skin products. Yet, I believe this one could be one of the most helpful at improving my skin issues. I've battled with frustrating skin since the age of 12 due to hormonal acne and Lupus rashes, so I've been on a life-long quest for any kind of help. My tempermental skin LOVED this immediately. The first time I used it, I saw instant results as it appeared to soothe the blotchy redness and skin erruption (similar to cystic acne and "weepy") on my chin.... and it healed 80% overnight . By day 2 it dried up and disappeared. Normally, I would need several days of a cortizone type medication to get the inflammation down although never completely gone. I also love the scent which is sort of a fresh blueberry-ish lavender I'd say... and the cool blue color is fun too! Never thought I'd like masks this much but I'm so glad I tried this and the Oatmeal Avocado while CVS was having a 2/$7 sale!
