Lipstick -Estee Lauder - Pure Color Crystal Lipstick- Berry Fizz
rated 4 of 5

This is a gorgeous fushia/raspberry perk-me-up pink lipstick with lots of shine. No gloss needed with this one! The color lasts and I find myself reaching for this a lot more than I thought I would! The only thing I don't like about it is the scent. It doesn't smell like fig to me but reminds me of the scent of the lipsticks my grandmother used to wear! It looks very elegant on and although I love this color, I don't think I'll be buying a EL lipstick again because of the scent.

Concealers -LORAC - Double Feature concealer/highlighter
rated 3 of 5

Love this yellow based concealer in L1 and the highlighter! I'm always impressed with Lorac products and love the way this really lightens and brightens my under-eye area. I am giving this three lippies though because the roller ball doesn't work at all on me and it looks much better applied with my concealer brush or patted on lightly with my fingers. I don't think I would repurchase.

Eye Primer -Urban Decay - Eyeshadow Primer Potion - Original (UDPP)
rated 5 of 5

This product really lives up to the hype! I noticed a huge difference in the staying powder of my e/s wearing this. I'm not usually one to be easily seduced by the packaging, but I love the sassy little bottle this comes in. I have tried other e/s primers before and could not tell any difference at all. But this is a great product! My e/s stayed on all day without creasing or fading and I would highly recommend it. I am sure I will buy again.

Palettes -Smashbox - Master's Class Vol. 3 - Complexion Perfection
rated 1 of 5
singwritenow 8/15/2008 11:40:00 PM

Are you kidding me? What a disappointment! I was elated when I saw this palette thinking it was such a great deal as well as a way to check out more Smashbox products. I have been really pleased with their Shimmer Lights highlighter and expected the same satisfaction when I bought this palette. I so wanted to love this because it's such a great deal!! However, I am disappointed with everything in this kit, the primer, concealer, undereye brightener and most of all the foundation. The brushes are okay, the small foundation brush is probably the best thing in the whole kit. The baby buka name for the brush is more exciting than brush itself. The primer is oily on my skin and is not luminous at all and does absolutely nothing to accentuate the foundation. The foundation is way too sheer and gives me hardly any coverage. The concealer is a complete joke and the under eye brightener seems to bring out the dark circles under my eyes even more. The dual toned powder/bronzer isn't anything to write home about either, the powder is way too sheer and the bronzer looks orange on me. l will be returning this back promptly to Sephora. Don't let the $59 for all of these products fool you into thinking it's a great deal. I'm now hesitant to try anything else in this line.

Lotions/ Creams -Burt's Bees - Coconut Foot Creme
rated 5 of 5
singwritenow 8/15/2008 11:08:00 PM

I keep a tube of this on my night stand to rub on my feet before bed. It's a bit greasy though, so a little bit goes a long way. Sometimes as the other reviewers have mentioned, I like to wear socks with this on for deeper moisturizing. When I've had a really stressful day, I love having my hubby massage my feet with this. The coconut scent is intoxicating and makes me feel like I'm on a tropical beach. I would recommend this to anyone who needs some major pampering. It feels great to put on my feet after a hot bath and curl up with a good book. This is instant luxury in a tube that every woman should have.

Shampoo -Suave - Tropical Coconut Shampoo
rated 5 of 5
singwritenow 8/9/2008 10:03:00 PM

I am giving this shampoo 5 lippies not because I use it as a shampoo, but as BUBBLE BATH! It makes the best bubbles I've ever seen!!! The more expensive bubble baths I have used before never even came close to this!! I love the scent of coconut and already had Asquith & Somerset coconut body scrub and coconut body butter, so I thought I'd give this a try as a bubble bath and am so glad I did. If you're a bath addict like I am, you have to try this! You will be amazed. I cannot believe I stumbled on such a great find! This shampoo is so inexpensive, why would I ever pay $$$ for bubble bath again?

Lipstick -Lancome - Hot Stuff Rouge
rated 4 of 5
singwritenow 8/9/2008 3:40:00 PM

Hot Stuff Rouge is a gorgeous shimmery metallic red with a hint of rose undertones, love it! It lasts without drying my lips. This could easily become my new red staple worn with nude e/s, black liner, a swipe of Lorac Desire blush and lots of black mascara. Would repurchase.

Lipstick -MAC - Frost Lipstick in New York Apple
rated 5 of 5
singwritenow 7/24/2008 10:12:00 PM

New York Red, where have you been all my life? I have been searching for the perfect deep berry red lipstick and think I've finally found it! I often passed over it at the MAC counter because in the tube it looked way too dark for me but decided to try it on and could not believe how much I adore it! I LOVE red lipsticks but this is more of a dark metallic berry pink with slight red undertones on me. I usually layer several lipsticks to get the look that I get with this one color and am very pleased to have finally found a deep berry pink that looks good on my NC25 skin. It's perfect for days when I want to have a simple yet polished look . Looks great with a wash of MAC's orb on my eyes, black liner and lots of black mascara. If you normally don't do reds at all, try this one!

Eye Shadow -Urban Decay - Smog
rated 5 of 5
singwritenow 7/24/2008 3:38:00 PM

This color rocks. What a gorgeous smoldering earthy/coppery brown! On me it shows up with a slight peach undertone. I love the texture of this and it doesn't have the glittery fallout that I've experienced with other UD shadows. I have been into earth tone brown e/s lately and this one is at the top of the list! Makes my blue/grey eyes pop and has a nice shimmer that pairs well with brown and green mattes. Would buy again.

Mascara -Fresh - Supernova
rated 1 of 5
singwritenow 7/23/2008 11:30:00 PM

It's been a long time since I got seduced by a new mascara, straying away from my HG L'Oreal Voluminous. Believe me, I've tried them all and this one clumped on my lashes, gave me racoon eyes and was difficult if not impossible to remove. This is waaaay too expensive and another lesson learned about not shelling out good bucks for a high-end mascara when L'Oreal mascaras are so much better. L'Oreal owns Lancome and I find that Voluminous and Lashout are just as good if not better than my old favorite, Definicils. Fresh Supernova is a complete ripoff. Don't waste your money.

Eye Shadow -MAC - Sumptuous Olive (Veluxe pearl)
rated 5 of 5
singwritenow 7/23/2008 11:18:00 PM

I love the lush, velvet texture of this shadow and how distinct and different this shade of green is. It's an earthy, mossy, olive green with golden brown undertones. I LOVE green shadows and as other reviewers have stated, this is a great color for day or evening. It's not as harsh or flamboyant as other greens that I have from Urban Decay, Lorac & Stila, and makes my grey/blue eyes pop. It looks fantastic layered with deeper colors or by itself for a simple, natural look for days when I'm in a hurry and have to rush out the door fast. I think this e/s would look great with every eye color. If you tend to shy away from greens, give this one a try!

Lip Gloss -NARS - Lip Lacquer in Capucine
rated 3 of 5
singwritenow 7/14/2008 10:51:00 PM

This is a shocking spunky pumpkin/tangerine gloss that is so unusual I just had to have it. It is very thick and a little goes a long way! It actually looks elegant on, not as bright and outlandish as you would think and makes my grey/blue eyes pop! If your skin has yellow undertones like mine, don't pass this color by until you've tried it, especially if you are looking for a pretty peach/orange color that's a little out of your comfort zone! Don't think I would repurchase, but for now it's fun to wear when I'm in mood to shake things up a bit.

Lip Gloss -Stila - Starfruit Lip Glaze
rated 4 of 5
singwritenow 7/14/2008 8:46:00 PM

Love this color! I have to say that after my last Stila lipglaze purchase I didn't think I'd be buying another one because the price seemed to be too expensive for the small amount of product that you get. But I think I have changed my tune now because this gloss stays on for a long time and the color doesn't seem to fade as quickly as other glosses. I purchased Starfruit because the pretty rose/coral is gorgeous on and is just the right amount of color. This will be my new lip gloss MU bag staple! Give this color a try if you are looking for a nude gloss with just a hint of coral. It's a bit pricey, but worth it.

Eyeliner -Laura Mercier - Stormy Grey kohl
rated 4 of 5
singwritenow 7/14/2008 8:24:00 PM

This liner glides on smooth and looks fabulous. It's a smoky blue/grey that isn't too harsh or over the top for day wear. It's also sultry enough to wear for evening. Love the creamy texture.

Eye Shadow -Laura Mercier - Eye Colour in Topaz
rated 4 of 5
singwritenow 7/14/2008 8:15:00 PM

This color stood out when I was purchasing a LM concealer today. I tried it on and had to have it - love the velvet sheer taupe with a hint of rose/mauve that feels so silky when you put it on. You can dress it up or down and pair it with a variety of different shades. I am giving it a 4 because I don't like the packaging. But it's striking on and will go well with a variety of different shades. Looks a lot like Mac's Satin Taupe. I would probably buy this instead of Satin Taupe when I run out because I love the texture of this more.
