Shampoo -Suave - Daily Clarifying Shampoo
renia22 4/25/2006 2:04:00 PM
Suave products seem to be hit or miss for me, but after reading all of the great reviews I thought I'd give this a shot. I have shoulder length, lightly layered brown hair. Occasionally I use henna, but other than that I do not color my hair. The problem that I have is that my hair is both fine and the ends can get dry/frizzy as well. It's very hard to find products that add shine and body to my hair, most either dry it out or make it look flat (or both!!). This shampoo, however, worked okay for me. It lathers well, smells fresh and clean (not fruity like most of those drugstore shampoos out there now), and cost only .99 cents at Target. It left my hair clean, full, and shiny, though I do seem to experience some static with this one.

Styling Products -Aussie - Dual Personality Mousse plus Leave-In Conditioner
renia22 4/22/2006 11:49:00 PM
Back in the 90s I used to love this leave in conditioning mousse by L'Oreal, which has since been discontinued. I was very excited to try this, hoping it would be similar. My hair is fine, but it tends to get dry so it's hard to find the right product. Unfortunately, this mousse is a bit heavy for me, almost too softening. I'm going to try to use a tiny amount to see if that helps, if not I'll pass this along to someone with thicker hair. This would probably work well for someone with medium or thick hair. *edit* I tried the dual personality volumizer plus leave-in conditioner instead & it works much better on my fine hair. I use one pump intead of two like the label suggests. It's more like a leave in conditioner, though, so I concentrate on the ends & I'm careful not to get too close to the roots. It leaves my hair soft, shiny, and pretty.

Cleansers -Bath and Body Works - True Blue Spa Good Clean Foam
renia22 4/19/2006 9:47:00 AM
This is a very basic, average, citrus scented facial wash. I purchased it on sale for $3, but it's normally $12. In my opinion, I don't think it's worth it unless you get it during one of the sales. It does leave skin sqeaky clean, but that's about it.

Moisturizers -Avon - Retroactive+ Repair Cream
renia22 4/18/2006 4:47:00 PM
This light gel-cream formula is marketed by Avon for women in the 25-34 age group. I'm 34 and still have problems with break-outs, so I use this instead of the Anew Force extra for the next age group up. This cream is good for use before bed since it's too shiny to use during the day & takes a while to absorb. It smells a bit strong, which is a minus for me. But I do like that with continued nighty use it makes my skin look fresher and younger. This can be purchased on Ebay for much less than retail price. This one's a keeper for me.

Styling Products -Garnier - Garnier Fructis Style Volume Inject Mousse
renia22 4/18/2006 3:08:00 PM
My hair is brown, shoulder length, layered and slightly wavy (unless I blow it dry). It doesn't take much to bring out the shine in my hair, half the time I don't even have to use conditioner. I thought this mousse would be perfect for my hair. Unfortunately, it wasn't. It made my hair dry, frizzy, sticky and looking just awful. This is going straight into the trash!

This fragrance free hand cream leaves hands looking soft and pretty. It absorbs well too, which is nice. Good basic hand cream.

Lip Gloss -Revlon - Sheer Lipglide - Mauve
renia22 4/15/2006 11:41:00 PM
I have this in the strawberry, which I really like, so I thought I'd try another color more on the berry side. This went on a bit too pigmented & is too shimmery for a 'sheer' lip gloss. The color is definitely mauve like the name says, not berry like some of the reviews state (at least not on me). The packaging & clicker application is something that I like, but the shade wasn't for me. Luckily my sister really liked it so I gave it to her.

Skincare - Body -Dove - Anti-Perspirant
renia22 4/14/2006 11:44:00 PM
The Dove deodorant solid in Original clean is my favorite. The new formula they have out now doesn't stain at all (ultimate clear). I can finally wear black without worrying about deodorant stains. The original clean is a nice, pleasant scent, but I noticed that the unscented doesn't work as well & I need to reapply mid-day. From now on I'll stick to the original clean.

Shampoo -Neutrogena - Anti-Residue Shampoo
renia22 4/14/2006 11:17:00 PM
This is one of my all time favorite shampoos. I love the smell, so much cleaner than those fruity smelling shampoos out there now. It also makes my fine hair very clean, shiny, and full of bounce. My hair can even tolerate it for daily use, but they don't seem to make the large bottles anymore so I only buy this once in a a while now.

Treatments (Eye) -Avon - Anew Ultimate Eye Cream
renia22 4/14/2006 10:59:00 PM
I'm 34 years old and I'm starting to notice fine lines around my eyes. Though this cream is formulated for women over 45, I thought I'd give it a try. Luckily I bought samples off of ebay for a cheap price, because I ended up not like this eye cream at all. First of all it smells awful, like nail polish remover or something. It also is not misturizing at all. If anything it made the skin around my eyes even drier, and it didn't absorb well. After several weeks of twice daily use, it had no effect on my fine lines.

Lip Gloss -Rimmel - Volume Boost Liquid Lipcolour
renia22 4/14/2006 10:50:00 PM
I bought this in clear. This is a thick, shiny lip gloss and nothing more. It tingles briefly, then wears off rather quickly. No volume boosting that I noticed.

Scrubs -Neutrogena - Deep Clean Invigorating Foaming Scrub
renia22 4/14/2006 4:57:00 PM
I bought this foaming scrub to use in the morning to give me a bit of a pick me up. It's slightly cool & minty, but not very exfoliating. A good basic cleanser, though I probably would not buy it again.

Shampoo -Bath and Body Works - Botanical Nutrients-Yucca Aloe Purifying Shampoo
renia22 4/14/2006 4:53:00 PM
This clarifying shamppo works very well on my fine hair, and I found it to be gentle enough for daily use ( I have virgin hair). Too bad they don't make it anymore.

Primer/ Corrector -Maybelline - Maybelline Coverstick Corrector Concealer
renia22 4/14/2006 4:42:00 PM
This is the best concealer to cover blemishes & minor skin discoloration & imperfections. The 'light beige' (#2) is a good match for my skin, though in the summer I choose the next darkest color up. It doesn't have a scent, which I like, and I've never experienced any kind of reaction to it. I've tried other concealers since I enjoy trying new products, and yet I find myself coming back to this one time & time again.

Lotions/ Creams -Bath and Body Works - true blue spa shea it isn't so foot cream
renia22 4/14/2006 4:33:00 PM
Thick, greasy, doesn't absorb well, funny smell. It's also is expensive ($14) for what you get, unless you buy it during one of the sales, in which case you can catch it for a good deal. I would not buy this again.
