I have shade 'ivory' which is perfect for my vampire-esque complexion i may buy the next shade up to maybe mix the two n make my own blend maybe not since winter will b here soon?.. Consistency feels like a body butter has orange scent which goes rite away it blends nicely.. I dab teeny dots of this on my face (sometimes i dab few dots of another foundation to use up what i have) then i spray brush with homemade fix plus then stipple With Elf studio powder brush stipple all over face then blend really well with same brush it gives lite to med coverage dependin on what else i used. I really like this my skin looks healthy not paley or cakey.. Blend slightly under/round jaw bone to blend harsh lines if any visible.. fair shade is light neutral tone great TM.. Only prob i had was i duno if i did it but i must have squeezed too hard and it was comin out aroumd tip.. No biggie.. I placed it in mini jar with tight lid i love it anyway a little last im not even 3/4 way thru 2 months later.. Its $1 id pay lot more bc its very light.. U could even use these like i do; alone or to mix with foundations that are to light or too dark or to even contour i suppose i may get dark shade to try contouring.. Ill update later- So try this in ur shade i love it!

Makeup Brushes -E.L.F. - Eyeshadow Brush
rated 5 of 5
Christinaann5 9/17/2010 10:35:00 PM

Best brush ever! Ever! I know u may like HE brushes but im content with all my elf brushes esp this one. Its the reg line white handle brush compard to mac 239. Its versatile. I use it to pack on color pull color up into outer v and blend colors in crease. It does so much that i have 8 of them so that i dont have to clean them daily i rotate them. And still only cost me $8. CRUELTY FREE! :-D i love elf for not testing makeup on animals which is absurd and also i wonder why cant every company do the same. I never want animal fur that has been taken by skinnin these beautiful creatures alive (yea like these comps take dead animal fur come on.. Either way id rather use my finger than have an innocent animal die so i can apply shadow it seems rather unfair to me) sorry bout my rant but elf proves with every wonderful product that its Possible! I get compliments on my makeup achieved with these gems! Just beware every brush i have is slightly diff in how many bristles or thickness. What i do is at store rummage thru each brush and you can see or if u need to pull it up to check i dont mind bc the denser ones have uses as well as the less denser ones do too. I did get rid of 1 out of 10 bc it was a dud.. It wouldnt quit shedding and couldnt be saved but all other ones are the best.. I love all elf brushes hope u do too..

Blush -E.L.F. - Shimmering blush in Glow
rated 5 of 5
Christinaann5 9/17/2010 7:19:00 PM

My favorite blush EVER! i own all $1 elf reg line blushes and fav of them and top 3 of my huge stash of blush.. I have very pale skin and pink undertones so most blushes are too much.. I want a 'blushed' look not 'blush' look, if u know what i mean.. This gives me a nice natural glow.. Its a little powdery.. I use my elf studio complexion brush i tap the side of brush into blush lightly (it is loosely packed) then tap off excess then apply along cheeks.. Its perfect glow and shade to make me look like i just ran a mile not that i put clowm makeup on.. Get all $1 elf blush and all the $3 studio blush theyre all great.. Find one that suits ur skin tone im sure u will also the lid SLIDES open like a dresser drawer push lid up the blush tray will be comin toward u i havent had any problems it slid rite off just like a drawer u put it back on track and slide close.. I actually like it PRICE/AVAILABILITY- this blush as well as the other Natural Radiance Blush are from the Elf Essential Line meaning $1 price- they are cheap but I believe the product doesnt speak for the price, these can be found on the eyeslipsface website as well as some Targets, Sears & some times Dollar Trees. SHADE/FORMULA- Glow is one of those universally flattering blushes that would look great on all skin tones. I love this for its slighty pinky coral color with a slight glow as the name states. it does provide a blushed look w/ the glow being natural. I dont use a highlight w/ this since it can be a bit much sometimes. i feel this leaves my cheeks looking fresh and youthful. it provides a sheen that makes me look like ive been sunning. The formula is nice. it could be pressed better since i do notice some loose powder after tapping my brush into the blush but nothing too bad. so dont dig your brush into it, you dont need to. these are soft & smooth blushes that w/ any blush brush will apply very nicely to the cheeks and they blend out without any grabbing or chalkiness. soft & nice. I like the $1 blush better than their $3 pigmentation wise. i feel these apply less chalky & have more pigmentation. The shimmer or glow in the blush itself is not a glitter, it just provides a nice glow. this shade has been compared to Orgasm but i think its a lighter shade than orgasm but it will provide the same effect just not as dark. PACKAGING- i know some hate this packaging, its not the most practical but i find it works. i explained above it opens/slides like a dresser drawer. i dont have problems with them it just couldve been executed better. the pan size it decent and you get a fair amount of blush. with almost daily use, this has lasted me quite some time, over 6 months without hitting pan so it will last you awhile even though it dont look so big. great value. Overall, i really love these blushes esp Glow its gorgeous for everyone! everytime i use it i think- wow! i really loev this blush- very pretty coral pinky shade with that nice natural glow!

Eye Shadow -L.A. Colors - Mineral Eyeshadows All Colors
rated 5 of 5
Christinaann5 9/17/2010 3:18:00 PM

I wish i would of been able bc i wouldve bought every1 there.. I have all the available shades i found at dollar tree.. Two of each they were $1 and theyre great.. The purple is the less pigmented but still great for a light purple. I love em all i wish my dollar tree would carry them forever bc just incase i ever run out id like to be able to buy again but the last trip they were all gone.. The shades im lucky to own and the mac dupes (my belief feel free to correct me.. I dont own mac im a poor makeup addict) Biege- stila kitten Black- carbon or black tied maybe typograhic Teal- kelly or one off Gold- goldmine Purple- nocturnelle I also own two of the duos Secret (gold &brown)- goldmine or ochre style last sadly Graphite (black & white)- print or typographic and gesso or white frost PRICE- these single shadows are a huge $1!! :) i cannot believe the price on these since they are so amazing & look expensive! with all the shadow you get, its def worth so much more. i pick these up at my local Dollar Trees. I have seen them at my Dollar General & Family Dollar. some LA Colors products can be found on cherryculture as well. PACKAGING- i love the sleek & sturdy packaging. its a clear hard plastic compact that snaps shut. the LA COLORS logo is imprinted on the lid and on back is the rest of the labeling as well as shade name. they open & close easily. what i find to be the best part is how big the pan of eyeshadow is! its so big- ill say about the size of a covergirl cheekers blush. yea this $1 eyeshadow is the size of a blush. so with how pigmented they are- these will last forever & ever & mineral makeup last longer since bacteria dont grow in them. i love how simple & clean these shadows look & also makes it easy to find the shade you are looking for since i own a few. SHADES/FORMULA- i have already named my dupes above which may be incorrect but nonetheless, there are 5 single mineral eyeshadows available (sadly, i wish they would release more id buy them all esp matte shades) all have great pigmentation & the shadows are pressed well, pick up on brush well. they go on to lid great & blend great too! they are soft & smooth & PIGMENTED! they work great alone on the eye area. will stay put for hours & thats w/out a primer so if you use a primer & add a cream base- for real, these are going nowhere!! they last 8 hours without any dulling or fading. ive never had them stick or look lumpy. they blend out so nicely like an expensive shadow does. The Gold & Beige have a sheen to them while the others are matte. I was shocked by how pigmented they are. better than some drugstore eyeshadows ive tried! Gold- is a true gold. shows up great esp with a golden base & looks great all over the lid wow! if you want a true gold shade- this is it! Beige- like Kitten, this is a champagne creamy color. so pigmented & versitle. can be used as a wash all over lid. looks great all over esp with a old hollywood glamour look w/ winged out liner, wow! this is my fav of them all since i can use it all the time. even as a highlighter on my face. it provides a nice champagne/pinky color- this is def a staple in my collection, reach for it alot!! bought a backup for sure! Purple- this is the less pigmented but dont let that fool you since it still shows up as a bright lilac purple shade. great for a color pop on lash line. i love using this w/ my brown eyes. it can built up which i love since its more on the brighter side. its a great contour/outer v shade too. ive used it to jazz up neutral looks. its def worth the $1 and i love it alot! Teal- this is a true teal aqua shade. great for color pop on lashlines. if you are a fan of bright colors, this is it! its not neon bright, its more of a darkened teal but its def for those who love color! i love it even though im more of a neutral girl. it looks great on all skin tones/eye colors. its dark enough to define or to use all over. its so unique i dont own anything even close to it! its super pigmented what you see in the pan is what you get! but in the crease, it somehows transforms to a dark green teal! its amazing! Black- this is a matte black color that everyone should own. instead of running out & spendin $14 on Mac Carbon- for real pick this bad boy up! its a matte black- every makeup girl/boy needs one & this one does all the jobs a black should do. from being able to define outer v or crease work. its dark enough you dont have to build up but if you need a tad bit of darkness it will work w/out lookin like wow she got black all over, great as a eyeliner, great wet/foiled. its just an all around work horse eyeshadow. i use it a ton & still havent made a dent. its my fav black since i got pale skin some blacks tend to stain my skin but this one dont but yet still does the job the others do :) I wish i could have more colors or be able to buy 100 more since i use all shades alot but i dont think i will find em again so snag em up if ur lucky.. Two additional great perks: they are cheap and most importantly their Cruelty free! i will forever love this shadows. wish i could have more shades to own but im lucky i got these. they will last me probably years & have made some pretty eye looks! Oh LA COLORS IS THE BEST!!

Eye Shadow -E.L.F. - Brightening Eye Color - Punk Funk
rated 4 of 5
Christinaann5 9/17/2010 2:33:00 PM

I love all Elf products. I have read others who have been disappointd but with every purchase i havent been let down id pay 4x the price and even be happy. Sad when $1 gets u 4 great shadows compared to $15 for 1. I dont have $ for HE makeup and plus almost all comp. Test on animals and elf is one of the few i have found dupes for all the shades in these quads and have bought backups for most. I found some in stores but this one 'punk funk' i ordered online. I love all colors. Sometimes brights can look clowny on fair skin but with these u can blend and sheer out or pack for intensity.. These dupes may not be rite but this is what mac dupes i found for this one: Blue-atlantic blue Pink- sushi flower Purple- indian ink White- gesso or crystal avalanche Feel free tn disagree or post closer match. Like i said i dont own mac Get all these quads u wont be dissapointed and im sure ull find a use and if not its $1 yea for elf! I hope i get to own all their products someday:-D

Pressed Powders -Maybelline - Dream Matte Pressed Powder
rated 4 of 5
Christinaann5 9/16/2010 9:58:00 PM

A little while ago, i found the older packaging version at my local big lots for only a few dollars. I decided to cave in and buy two since it was so hyped up. I think its a great powder but nothing i have to have.. Here is my thoughts.. ~~~~~~~~~~~ PRICE & AVAILABILITY ~~~~~~~~~~~ The Maybelline Dream Matte Pressed Powder can be found in most drugstores like CVS, Walgreens, Rite Aid as well as mass discount stores like Walmart, Kmart & Target. The Maybelline Dream Products have changed & new products been released and other discontinued sadly but this powder has stayed on the shelves. The Dream Matte powder price will vary slightly depending on where you purchase as well as your location but generally priced around $5-6. If it works for you, the price isnt too bad but ive found a powder thats way cheaper that works better for me but overall, good price. ~~~~~ SHADE & FORMULA & PERFORMANCE ~~~~~ The Maybelline Dream Matte Powders come in various shades. Not a vast amount but a few. They were numbered according to their cooresponding shades in the foundations. I always buy the lightest or translucent shades in powders so i went with Light-0 which is more on the neutral coloring but works w/ my super pale cool skin. The powder is pressed well with little filler making it soft and easy to apply & blend. Whats nice is that it absorbs excess oils on your face as well as oils from your foundations. This is a MATTE powder. I like more natural or satin finishes which is hard to find in a drugstore powder but i do like this for the summer months when i know its hot outside & my makeup may melt off. This can also be used to blot or touch up throughout the day. Its pigmented enough to smooth out any uneveness in your skin but not super opaque that it covers blemishes or flaws. Its great for a setting or blotting powder. Some people swear by it. I think its pretty great. I love using it after foundation to set it so that it wont melt or oxidize. I also like to use it to buff out over pigmented blushes or bronzers. Also makes a great brow highlight since its matte & natural. If you find a shade that works with your skin, great. With most maybelline face products, i find they run dark and more on the neutral to warm side but the lightest shade can work on my cool skin. I dont have oily skin, more on the normal to dry in winter and this does help any oils from breaking through and it doesnt cling to any dry spots either. Now with too much, it will accentuate dry spots so I dont reapply since i dont need to. This wears a while at least 6 hrs or more so it does a great job. ~~~~~~~~~~~~ PACKAGING ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The Maybelline Dream Matte Powder comes in a circular compact thats beige/tan in color. The logo & product name is located on the see through window on top of compact. The back has a sticker with shade name/ingredients etc on back. Inside, the compact bottom swivels out to a mirror & also included is a flat sponge. Its convenient if you need on the go touch ups. The packaging is on the tad too bulky but nothing super bulky. Id rather get more powder but some may like this setup. Its def unique and compact. The pan size is decent. The size of my palm. It took me quite some time to even hit pan even with daily use. It must mean i like it alot since i do like to switch up makeup so i keep going back to this. The packaging is great for slipping in your bag for touch ups throughout the day. I use a powder or kabuki brush to put on a dusting of powder but the sponge could def work. & also the mirror does come in handy. Overall, this is a pretty good powder. Ive since found my LA Colors pressed powder that i feel in love with but thats bc i dont have oily skin. I think this powder is def worth a try. Would i repurchase? yes IF THEY QUIT TESTING ON ANIMALS :( why maybelline? when i first got into makeup, i didnt realize the animal testing procedures like i do know so im more educated & will repurchase. Id suggests those who feel the same way to do the same. But i think this is a good powder overall!

Makeup Brushes -E.L.F. - Studio Powder Brush
rated 5 of 5
Christinaann5 9/15/2010 6:35:00 PM

Best brush EVER! this brush has changed my life.. How? I liked makeup but never could get it like i see on videos.. I dont have bad skin but i like to hide uneven skin blemishes occasionally but i like foundation and how it looked on others and reg foundation brushes always left streaks on my drier skin or pushed it off in spots but with this brush u tap the top tips into ur cream or liquid foundation and then stipple on like a mac187 then u could blend like a mac109 with the most 'airbrushed' and flawless look.. I have never got a shed of hair ever and use elf daily brush cleaner spray them and wash them every other day. it holds rite amount of product distributes evenly and blends awesome.. This brush is amazing and soft as a babys bottom.. Best thing its ANIMAL FRIENDLY! Yea! So for $3 it should be a crime! Haha.. So get online and order as many as possible.. I have 4.. 1 for liquid or cream foundation- 2nd for powders - 3rd for blush and 4th for whatever when 1 of them cleaning/drying .. No matter what u use it for u will b astonished.. It blends anything like no other!

Eye Shadow -Wet 'n' Wild - Color Icon Single in Brulee
rated 5 of 5
Christinaann5 9/15/2010 6:04:00 PM

I love these little suckers! I can tell you as a DS makeup buyer its not all that often you find everyone excited bout a 1.99 shadow but this wnw color icon single in Brulee is amazing. Its a multi-purpose shadow. I use it for all over wash before other colors to even out skin tone, for a neutral look u can wash this all over with darker crease color, a matte highlight or a blending shadow.. All these uses for 2 dollars! Buy this i promise u will find a use for it! It has a butter smooth texture and great pigment and last all day (with or without base on normal lids) all the new color icon collection is AMAZING! so run dont walk to get these diamonds in the rough.. Hope Wnw comes out with more, tons more i will own em all! *update Brulee has become a STAPLE in all my looks now. i cannot go without it. i love using it all over when i need an even lid, helps w/ pigmentation of my shadows since it evens it all out, but i use this daily as a blending color for my crease shade to my brow bone. esp since i use shadows on lid that are somewhat shimmer or sheen to them so i always like a matte highlight under the brow (very seldomly do i use the opposite but i do luv shimmer h/l (sometimes) but i always use this that way. from my crease shade to blend it out and under my brow. i will be buying a 1000 more, i know it and at $1.99 i can afford to esp since i wait for bogo 50% off sales since drgstores cant have real BOGOs sales anymore :( so im telling u if you need a great creamy gorgeous multipurpose affordable matte skintone highlight, RUN dont walk to pick up Brulee. PLEASE WETNWILD MAKE MORE OF THESE AMAZING SINGLES ESP MATTE SHADES! theyve rocked my world! *update* This is the only shadow in years that Ive actually hit pan on.. I hit pan and now its cracking or breaking a little bit since the shadow is soft. So i have to be really careful when i open or close or bring it with me. I cant live without this shadow since i use it EVERYDAY as a brow highlight. I love it to for blending out other shadows or placing along the outside of my shadows to make them look neat & clean, Its like a powder concealer. Its amazing pigmentation. Its almost the same shade as my skin but more neutral as I am very cool toned. But it works for so much. It covers my veins & discoloration on my eyes. I love it so much! i will always repurchase over & over since I use it more than any shadow & i own alot of shadows & this is the most used!

Mascara -Maybelline - Volum' Express The Falsies
rated 5 of 5
Christinaann5 9/15/2010 5:21:00 PM

I like this mascara alot... I just have really long semi straight lashes so i want a mascara to hold a curl and this does that nicely.. My only complaint is that sometimes its really clumpy then sometimes its perfect.. I thinks its due to the wand.. Its a curled wand and i use the u shaped part first that fits naturally into lashes and coat then turn the brush opposite way that looks like rainbow shape and apply again to build and seperate lashes even more.. I hope that makes sense.. I got this on sale with a coupon for around $5 and will repurchase maybe.. I like collosal too.. I will have to update later once i get thru further into tube.. But its really good mascara im not sure if i use it rite or not i hope.. def would recommend it! *update* im absolutely head over hills for this this will b the 2nd macara ive repurchased (elf lengthing/defining is incredible) im not sure if at 1st i was applyin it wrong or if its had time to dry out a teeny bit but i cannot leave my house w/out mascara now! i use to think u have long lashes already, it be ok w/out not now, ive got askd so many tmes now if i started using false lashes again (long story ripped lash line ;o so not for awhile!) my lashes basically touch my brows i gotta b careful for a min to let my lashes dry bc theyll mess up my shadow bc their so long! i can finally see my lashes thru myglasses! an this is for the reg version (wp formula is to dryin 4 me) the black is black! thnk u maybelline 4 rockn my world! So if ur having doubts about this, id suggest letting it dry up a tad & too see if ur using this the right way.. the directions are on the packaging & i followed them which i normally dont but im glad bc at first try, it got clumpy but i went back & i love it!

Eye Shadow -E.L.F. - Duo Eye Shadow Cream
rated 5 of 5
Christinaann5 9/15/2010 5:02:00 PM

I love these! I have all available colors.. I wish these didnt get low reviews bc i love them. I havent tried using them alone bc i love using cream shadow them topping with powder shadow i use them as a base after primer. i put lighter color on brow bone them halfway on inner lid and darker color on outer 1/3 lid and up into crease to start definition or i use one color all over. Dont pile a whole bunch on or they will crease i dont have oily lids but if u top it with powder and use a very thin layer i believe they will work 4 anyone.. Theyre a dollar and just as good as revlon cream e/s. I wish they had new colors bc id buy em all no kidding.. I have found em at kmart or target or dollar store i think but i got all but two online i love elf too bc theyre cruelty free which is so important and as a poor makeup addict its hard finding budget and animal friendly makeup Go and buy these asap some can even be face highlighter too! it makes me sad the low score of these since i wish it'd work great like they do for me for others bc i know why some people hate em..but i know theyre my fav cream bases & i really hope & pray Elf would come out with more shades in these! their studio cream shadows would def be a great base too if you didnt like these! theyre amazing! better than my mac paintpot for helping my shadows stay perfectly put but i love these duos! always will!

Blush -Wet 'n' Wild - Color Icon Blush 831E Pearlescent Pink
rated 5 of 5
Christinaann5 9/15/2010 4:40:00 PM

Love this blush! I have both versions the older one with silver packaging (lucky me it was only 1.94 so i picked up two) and i have one of the new color icon black packaging which is sleeker and nice (but to me as long as the the product rocks its no biggy) this is great on my really pale skin if used right otherwise omg! I use the E.l.f. Studio complexion brush (or blush brush works too) and i tap the side or flat side of the brush lightly very lightly and tap off excess and i even tap onto skin then tap on cheeks and blend along cheeks ( i use a cream blush first then my powder) if its to much u can top with a lighter pink blush or powder) u will love this if u use it rite otherwise u may think its cheap the newer version is not chalky its butter soft and i cant believe its so cheap! Try them all theyre amazing

Foundations -Maybelline - Dream Matte Mousse
rated 4 of 5
Christinaann5 9/15/2010 4:22:00 PM

I love this... I also have the liquid version (which i like slightly better) but this mousse blends beautifully! I would give it a 5 if the color was a bit lighter. I am pale! Some say ghostly pale so its hard for me to find a light enough foundation thats not to yellow or too pink. i am pale with slight pink undertones so the lightest option is light ivory light 0. How i use it is i spray homemade fix plus on E.l.f studio powder brush and on face (after lotion sets in) and 'dab or tap' lightly very light into jar just enough to see brush tips coverd then i stipple in middle of face and work out then swirl to buff in. If its winter i mix in a bit of a light foundation (like CG trublend liq foundation ivory) so its not to dark. This gives me med to full coverage covers all imperfections and matte finish. Its wonderful the price is awesome i just got a backup bc i had a coupon and it was on sale so i got it for $5 or less. Get it now one of the best foundations ive tried.. The liquid is great and the powder works great on top to set love it all *update- i dont suggests this for anyone suffering really dry skin since this tends to pick up on any dry skin on your face & make it look alot worse. So make sure to exfoliate & moisturize but i know for me this is a very thick formula & a little goes a long way so dont pile it on. I like to dab a dense fluffy brush like the Elf Studio Powder Brush & dab & buff into skin for the best coverage. I like to add some moisturizer onto my skin along with this since i like a lighter coverage & i find that way works best esp for blending it out for a nice coverage. It works best for me. I like the coverage but i am extremely too pale for the shade which is the lightest available so it sucks. I do put it on the natural contour of my face & mix w/ a lighter foundation that way i dont look too orange. I wish they made a lighter shade bc id def repurchase but so far i may not. i cant believe they d/c'd the concealer which had amazing reviews & was my favorite ever but left this & the powder but took away the concealer? i dunno why they did it

Christinaann5 9/15/2010 4:02:00 PM

I love this quad. It was one of my 1st maybelline products and gets used alot.. I have found mac dupes for my extensive shadow collection.. Ill share mine with u.. Maybelline Chai Latte Lid=wedge or some say satin taupe but i say more wedge Crease= tempting Brow=brule or vanilla Outer corner= brun or style war riors I love this quad. U can use it as the words are imprinted into shadow and it gives a natural day eye or add a bit more darker shadow to outer v for a nite smoky eye.. Pigmented some better than others but i love it and will repurchase if i ever use it up.. Xteeener and another you tuber did great tuts for this just search 4 them if ur not sure how to use it.. It was simple enough that i learned how to place shadows great i get so many compliments with these and they also helpd me learned the placement and how to pair other colors together... Get asap! U wont be disappointed.. I recently got coupons for a dollar off maybelline eye product and i purchased a backup for only $3 great buy
