This, along with Aqualumiere Macao, is the lipstick I am wearing most at the moment. Elegant Chanel packaging and the most perfect texture product. It has a nice amount of shine and stays put for hours without bleeding. On my pigmented lips it goes on a subtle plummy pink colour that is perfect for every day and can be built up if I want it to look more 'obvious'. I love this range and wish they did more colours that suited me, but most of them are too pale. Perhaps they'll bring out more next summer?

I am so happy to have found the Chanel Aqualumieres! Beautiful elegant black and gold tube and I like the smell of the lipstick - pretty enough without being too obtrusive. Macao is a wonderful everyday autumn/winter shade for me. I have blonde hair, brown eyes, medium skin and quite pigmented cool-toned lips. This shade goes on a sheer reddy-pink, slightly warm, which brings my face to life. Although I wear cool-toned clothes I often need a lipstick just on the warm side of neutral because my lips turn many lipsticks too blue. This one is perfect! Stays on realy well, doesn't bleed and has just the right amount of shine! I love it!

Concealers -Becca - Concealer compact

This is an outstanding concealer. Firstly, it comes in a phenomenal range of colours so that you can match your skin tone exactly. Secondly, it comes in two different weights of concealer within the same compact so that you can use the heavier one for spots, scars etc, and the lighter weight one for undereyes. The coverage is superb - it really does cover EVERYTHING - but you will need to use an eye cream first around the eyes as the texture of it may drag delicate skin tissue. The concealer is long lasting, non-irritant and comes in a dinky little compact with mirror. IMO it is well worth seeking out a beauty counter where you can have a SA match it exactly to your skin tone for you. (Space NK at Harvey Nicks did this for me and were excellent.) Great product - best concealer I have ever used so worth the price. Oh -and make sure you buy a little concealer brush to put it on with!!

Mascara -Maybelline - Full 'N Soft Mascara

I have tried about 20 different mascaras, and this one, along with Lancome Definicils, is probably the best. I have fair, medium length, very fine eyelashes, and this mascara gives them a great deep black colour. It makes my eyelashes look much thicker and also gives curl and length. It comes off easily too. It is very easy to apply, largely I think because of the very soft and thick applicator brush, and this is the one mascara I can't go wrong with. Outstanding!

Lotions/ Creams -Palmers - Palmers Cocoa Butter Formula

I have only just discovered this wonderful body moisturizer! I bought it as an overnight cream to put on my very dry hands in the winter and the results after only a couple of days are amazing. My skin is noticeably softer and silkier overnight. I do not wear a body moisturizer all over usually, but this stuff would be excellent for putting on my legs after I've been on holiday to stop them drying out! Gorgeous real chocolate smell - absolutely delicious! - and dirt cheap. I use the solid pot and tend to use it overnight only as it is so greasy - but I have to say it's truly magical stuff!

Fragrances -Stella McCartney - Stella Sheer Eau De Toilette

This a an beautiful scent for rose-lovers and one of my absolute favourites! It's only available in edt (limited edition too, I believe) and comes in a very pretty frosted purple bottle. Stella Sheer is a fresher, more rosy version of the original Stella, with less amber, but with great staying power - it lasts at least 4-5 hours on me. The rose note is outstandingly beautiful and remains true throughout (but some people may not like that the scent does not evolve much.) It does not bother me in the slightest! Wonderful for the spring and summer (well, anytime actually!) Buy it before it disappears from the shops! Edited: After I had worn this for a few months, it started to smell too ambery and fruity, so I swapped it away!

Fragrances -Cartier - Must de Cartier

This is a beautiful, comforting, warming winter scent. The packaging and spray are a little masculine in style but don't let that put you off (also, the initial spritz produces an acrid 'twang' which only lasts a few seconds until the fragrance reveals itself.) On me this is a very melded fragrance which lasts for hours and just gets better as it develops. I smell some tangerine (not much) and then a divine amber-vanilla-spice accord which is somehow chocolatey as well. Sometimes I find myself craving this scent but it is definitely a cold weather one! I love to wallow in it on winter evenings by the fire! Just wonderful! Edited 15.1.06. I deducted two lippies as, although I still like this, I've been finding it a little too dense and masculine on my skin. I'd prefer it to be just a little sweeter.

Mascara -Yves Saint Laurent - Mascara Volume Effet Faux Cils

This is an excellent mascara, beautifully packaged and in an elegant gold tube. When applied with care it gives outstanding results (it is a very thick, creamy formula.) I have fair, fine eyelashes and it gives length, dramatic volume and some curl depending on how much I put on! As it is a heavy formula it can weigh down fine eyelashes and make them stick straight out, but applied with care (and you don't need very much)it gives great curl as well. You just need to make sure you remove all excess from the wand before you apply. Deep, black glossy colour which lasts all day without misbehaving in any way and comes off easily. Wonderful stuff!

Lipstick -Elizabeth Arden - Color Intrigue Lipstick

I find this to be an excellent range of lipsticks. The packaging may not be quite so glamorous as some other ranges, but the colours are beautiful and very wearable. I have Posh, which is a soft plummy pink perfect for autumn, and Catherine, which is a great 'evening' pinky red. Both colours are very soft to wear, easy to apply, last extremely well and do not bleed. The colours themselves are well pigmented with a slight shine. Well done CZJ!

Mascara -Lancome - Definicils Mascara

Overall, this is the best mascara I have tried. I have fair, fine eyelashes, medium length and curve, and this mascara gives me great length as well as curl and some volume. It is a rich black and does not flake or give me panda eyes AND it's very easy to remove. You do need to take care with getting the application right but apart from that I can't fault it. Oh and I haven't had any problems with it drying out - still going strong after 4 months!

I find that fruit always tends to dominate on my skin as with this fragrance. Started off with a sharp burst of berry that was soon submerged by watermelon - far too sweet for my liking. It completely drowned anything floral there might have been. Dry-down was vanilla-musk, not as sweet on my skin as the fruit surprisingly, but overall Vocalise was just too sweet. Won't be buying it.

Very disappointed in this one! It must be down to skin chemistry but the rose was so fleeting it was non-existent. Worse, the overriding note was earthy, bitter and smelt just like curry powder. Seriously! Kept waiting for it to improve but it didn't. In fact, within an hour the whole fragrance had faded away.

I'm sorry - but I found this to be completely disgusting on my skin. It started off sour and then all I got was dirty, earthy, over-ripe, sweaty patchouli! Someone stole the rose completely. No! No! No!

Fragrances -Les Parfums de Rosine - Ecume de Rose

This is similar to Stella, but somehow softer - not as fresh. I didn't get as much rose as I would have liked - on my skin the amber was predominant and slightly cloying. The fragrance only lasted a few hours on my skin and so I would say buy Stella instead if you are looking for a roses with amber scent that stays!

Fragrances -Gucci - Eau de Parfum II

Big disappointment. Such a pretty bottle, but I didn't find the fragrance at all pretty. All I got was orange, blackcurrant and (I think) raspberry notes that just overwhelmed everything else that might have been there. Far too sweet and cloying for my taste but am sure it must be a body chemistry thing as so many others have raved about it.
