Eye Shadow -MAC - Nocturnelle Eyeshadow

Just lovely. Beautiful color, warm purple with pink sheen, extremely flattering for green eyes! I mostly use it as a crease along with shale on the lid and beautiful iris under the brow for a simple yet feminine look or with woodwinked on the lid and seedy pearl as a highlighter- very glamorous! Will repurchase

Lip Gloss -Lancome - Lancome Juicy Tubes

Very average product, not worth the price or the hype. I have 3 of these, only one had a nice smell and all of them were colorless and not more long lasting than cheaper glosses I've tried. Won't repurchase.

Fragrances -Lancome - Hypnose Senses

I really tried to like this but since I first put it on my wrist I felt it's not ''me'' at all, I constanty had the strange feeling that there was another woman somewhwere close to me that smelt this way. Like honey, roses and powder for start. I almost convienced myself that this perfume is romantic and elegant but there was still something annoying about it which I couldn't figure out. I bought a small bottle anyway. Later I smelt something dirty which is supposed to feel seductive i guess, the draydown was not appealing to me at all... I continued to wear it a few times to see if something changes but nope, I couldn't stand it and gave it away.

Eye Shadow -MAC - Woodwinked - veluxe pearl

I like this. But I would like it more if it the colour of the pan appeared this way on my lids instead of that copper/gold/orange shade. I believe it compliments my eyes but not my skin tone. Really good quality product, though. Goes well with browns, purples and greens and I believe will be amazing for warmer/darker skin tones.

Fragrances -Escada - Taj Sunset

I find this pleasant but all I can smell is mango and more mango from the beginning to the end. It's quite sweet and delicious but nothing extraorinary or complicated. Nice plain fruit salad with sugar. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy this but can get the same effect by using The body shop mango body butter (plus: moisturised skin!)

Mascara -Maybelline - Volum' Express The Falsies
rated 3 of 5

Nothing extraordinary. It's a decent dragstore mascara though. The color is nice, it comes off quite easily and holds the curl well. If applying a second or third coat when still wet it doesn't clump much but I haven't achieved dramatic results in terms of volume and length even though I use primer first.

Fragrances -Hugo Boss - Essence de femme
rated 3 of 5
stls 8/4/2011 4:29:00 PM

I love the original femme, it's absolutely lovely, so soft and feminine, I gave it a five though the lasting power isn't great. I bought essense de femme because I thought it would be the same fragrance, only more long-lasting. It wasn't. I don't think it lasted any longer, the idea between them is similar but this one is heavier, sharper, not so ballanced, it feels like something went wrong, I don't know... I gave it away and bought the original femme again.

Top/Base Coats -Seche Vite - Dry Fast Top Coat
rated 2 of 5
stls 8/4/2011 4:19:00 PM

I don't really like this. Sure, after application the nail polish dries FAST and there is a nice glossy shine but the smell is horrible, it became thick too soon and it was hard to apply evenly. In addition the nail polish peels off in large pieces the next day or after two days and it's not a cheap product. I expected somethig more effective.

Lip Treatments -Nivea - Light Kiss
rated 2 of 5
stls 8/2/2011 4:01:00 PM

Ah, the rating is really low here! Well, this lip balm is not meant to heal dry lips, but for a hint of hydration during the day it's fine. I like the refreshing watery feeling but I don't mind the smell. It leaves a subtle shine on my not so pigmented lips but I think it looks actually transparent, not white after application. Packaging is nice and the price is ok

Moisturizers -Clinique - Dramatically Different Moisturizing Gel
rated 3 of 5
stls 6/25/2011 9:31:00 PM

I purchsed this a couple of times and I liked the gel texture. Hydration is ok if you don't have special needs, didn't have negative effects on my skin, but overall it's nothing amazing.

Lip Treatments -The Body Shop - Lip Butter - Passionfruit
rated 2 of 5
stls 6/25/2011 9:21:00 PM

I don't find it quite hydrating and thats major con for a lip balm. But the packagine is nice and smells delicious, although a bit strong. I use it only during hot months, since it feels more creamy (in the wintertime it's kinda solid which I detest) once in a while just for the smell. The pinky-mauve colour is not bad either. Overall I feel that it sits on the lips for a while, hydrates a bit and smells good. Won't repurchase, there are much more effective lip balms out there.

Mascara -MAC - Zoom lash
rated 2 of 5
stls 6/22/2011 1:05:00 PM

I think this is the most dissapointing MAC product I've tried so far. The first time I used it I thought ''Do I really have mascara on my lashes?!'' And it's considered to give dramatic results! How can it be?? The only difference was that my lashes looked darker and heavier than normal... I rated it with 2 because the colour is quite dark, the price is ok and sometimes (with lots of luck and practice I guess) I achieved satisfying results. Plus, I have friends who tried it and loved it, so I guess it can be appropriate for some. But for me it didn't work and I will not repurchase. (Oh, and the worst part is that the saleslady accidentaly gave me 2 - though I was planning to buy a black zoom-lash and a brown pro-lash, so I stuck with 2 of them!)

Lipstick -MAC - Lustre in Syrup
rated 4 of 5
stls 6/22/2011 12:46:00 PM

I love this lipstick. My first by MAC! It's pinky-mauve lustre, quite glossy, not overpowering, compliments my skin tone beautifully, looks polished yet natural, smooth texture, glides easily, lovely vanilla scent, sleek packaging... Particularly good paired with mauve e/s for a romantic, yet sultry look! I'm NW 15, but I think it would look good on anyone. I didn't rate it with 5 only bacause it wears off quickly (but that's the case with any lustre I've tried) Try it!

Fragrances -Escada - Pacific Paradise
rated 3 of 5
stls 6/17/2011 6:26:00 PM

It's a delicious, fruity fragrance that settles kind of musky. It lifts my mood and reminds me of holidays... The draydown saves it from being totally childish, I enjoy using this. Non- offensive smell, nothing ground-breaking and not exceptionally long-lasting. If my chanel chance resembles the little black dress, pacific paradice resembles the fluo top. I enjoy having it around just for fun! :)

Liquid -MAC - Studio Fix Fluid SPF 15
rated 3 of 5
stls 6/17/2011 6:05:00 PM

I've repurchased 4 times already, so I think it's time to share my experience with this foundation Pros: 1) Very good buildable coverage 2) Wide color range 3) Long lasting 4) Matt but not over the top 5) Controls oil quite well (but I also use matte base and blot powder) 6) Price is not bad 7) A single bottle last for a while Cons: 1) Might cause breakouts 2) You have to buy an extra pump 3) Might be heavy for those who prefer lightweight sheer coverage foundations 4) During hot months tends to ''melt'' 5) It's quite obvious that you wear foundation (unless you have already a good skin with not much to cover and apply a tiny bit) 6) Weird smell For a very long time I thought this foundation was my godsend holy grail. I had acne since my teens and tried every medical treatment available and many many foundations without luck. I was looking for a foundation with excellent coverage, long lasting that would match my skin color -and believe me, that was hard to find. Studio Fix Fluid fullfilled all my wishes. I apply it with the 187 brush for a natural look or with a flat brush for more coverage. It worked wonders and used it every single day for years. Even when my skin was absolutely terrible I knew it would cover all the scars, pimples, blemishes. When freshly applied, combined with blot powder and Fix+ my skin looked closer to perfection than ever... The only reason I think I might not buy again is that I feel that it's not the healthiest for the skin. Although I wouldn't like to admit it my skin is visibly clearer during the periods I don't use it often. And I never went to sleep with this on my face. Now, since my acne has improved I don't need heavy coverage and I suspect that it contributed to keep my skin that way for a long time. Now I use it every now and then and there's no problem... Overall, it's a decent foundation -with some flaws - but I haven't found anything closer to my personal HG yet! Update: I've moved on at last to experiment with other foundations and I won't look back. First of all the color match wasn't as perfect as I wanted to believe. In fact it's nowhere near perfect as I realized. NW15 is way too dark and orange and NC15 too yellow. Unfortunately MAC doesn't have a color for pale cool toned girls. Second, full coverage foundation won't look natural. Ever. I used to think ''the fullest coverage the better'' Wrooong! Light is fine, medium is fine. you can always spot conceal imperfections- that looks way healthier than covering heavily your skin. Third: no foundation is worth causing acne. Now I know- I still love MAC eye shadows and lipsticks but I wish I hadn't used studio fix fluid for so many years!
