Eye Shadow -Estee Lauder - Pure Color - Candy Cube

a great pink eyeshadow. every other pink shadow i've ever used just looked really weird on me but this looks nice. i make of point of wearing it when i'm particulary tired because it makes me look more awake, but its also nice for an everyday natural look. it's expensive but it lasts a long time. i'll probably buy more when i run out because it is something i reach for without having to think about because it is so versatile. EDIT: this looks good sheer but i've found that it's very easy to overapply, resulting in a very weird look. i still think it's a nice shadow but i doubt i'll rebuy. i'd rather find a shadow that i don't have to be so careful when i apply it.
Eye Shadow -L'Oreal - Illumination Loose Powder Shadow

dissapointed with this product. i bought this in sky and it just looks white/silvery on my eyes instead of light blue, and it also comes off too easy. the worst part is the brush, its horribly stiff and with the one i bought the bristles were already bent in different directions before i'd even used it! maybe mine was defective i don't know but i don't think i've ever bought a product where it was messed up before i even opened it.
Concealers -L'Oreal - True Match Super-Blendable Concealer

i have this in cloud. i bought this to go along with my true match foundation and it works well. its not the best concealer ever but for a drugstore concealer its pretty good. and of course it goes great with the true match foundations if your buy it in the right shade.
Bronzers -Sonia Kashuk - Loose Powder Bronzer -Golden
genica 8/10/2006 1:17:00 AM
WAY too much glitter. i think this product is just pure bronze glitter. i really wanted this to work for me because it's a loose powder bronzer and pressed bronzers are too much for my super-pale skin, but all the glitter makes this horrible.
clumps too much. it adds nice length and volume but i can't stand the clumps. i wipe it off with a piece of tissue and i STILL get clumps. not terrible but nothing i will be buying again.
Liquid -L'Oreal - True Match Super-Blendable Makeup SPF 17

i'm giving this a 5 just because l'oreal makes a foundation that actually is light enough for me (the w1 shade) and has spf 17. if you have the same problem of not being able to find a foundation light enough, give this one a shot. i used to buy lancome dual finish but that was just too expensive for me and also didn't contain spf, so i turned to the drugstore. i'd been buying foundations that were too dark for me but that had sunscreen because i absoultely cannot wear sunscreen under my foundation or i'm greasy after 30 minutes and break out like crazy. but as you can imagine that got old really fast. then in frustration i'd given up on sunscreen because i couldn't stand wearing foundation that didn't match my face. i reached for the true match because its the lightest foundation at the drugstore and lo and behold now they are putting spf in it! i've been wearing it for about a month now so my initial elation has died down, and this foundation certainly isn't perfect. it's more sheer than i would like, has a tendency to look chalky, and you have to blend it quickly. this is not my hg foundation by any means, but its not terrible. i'm going to keep buying this until something better comes along. in the mean time at least my foundation matches my face and i get spf protection. EDIT: i got tired of the extra effort it took every morning to try and make this look good so i gave up and went back to lancome dual finish. this also had a tendency to sink into my pores and make them very noticable. and from what i'm learning about spf, since i didn't apply much of it to my face i wasn't really getting full spf protection. oh well, i'm satisfied with my lancome. :)
Lip Gloss -Lancome - Juicy Tubes Pop - Chai Freeze

this is the most moisturizing jt i've ever had, and i've owned around 8, so i love it for that reason alone. it doesn't feel that moisturizing when it first goes on but give it a chance and you'll feel it. the color is also very pretty. i had my doubts because it looked like the light milky beige might wash me out, but it goes on sheer and neutral with some shimmer. very natural and pretty. also smells/tastes like bubblegum, which took me by surprise since it's called "chai freeze", but i like it. a great jt!
Lip Gloss -Estee Lauder - Pure Pops Brush-on Color 'Blackberry'

the packaging is so horrible i'm not even going to review the actual gloss. do not waste your money on this b/c you won't have it but about a month until the packaging turns on you. all that keeps the gloss from spilling out everywhere is this flimsy plastic cap that doesn't snap on securely at all. the first week i had this i opened my purse to find the cap had fallen off and gloss had gotten everywhere. i didn't think much of it but then it happened again. and again. and again. about that time the brush applicator was so bent with the bristles going every-which-way that i threw this away in disgust. i've never paid so much for such crappy packaging. this is estee lauder, they can do better. and i am not the type to be rough with my makeup, i love it too much to be rough with it, especially if it came from the department store. like i said don't waste your money, buy a juicy tube or something with a cap that won't come off for no reason.

i love this, it's my hg highlighter. it's a bit pricey but you get a lot for the money. i don't see this running out anytime soon and i've had it for about a year. it gives me the perfect glow. and the bottle is adorable. defiently worth a try if rosy-gold colors don't clash with your skin.
i agree with the previous two reviews. this is just so dissapointing its unbelievable. maybe my expectations were high but this is a well-known perfume so i assumed it was well-known for a reason. what a let down. so generic, it reminds me of those knock-off perfumes you can buy at dollar stores that have way too much alcohol in them, thats how uninspired this is. total waste of money.
was not impressed. it's not horrible but it's not great either. it smells a little too sweet for me, and i usually love foody sweet scents. i prefer tutti dolci products from b&bw, they smell better and give me a sugar fix better than this does.
this is one of my least favorite jt's. i've only ever given two jts away and this was one of them. it is so thick and sticky, way more than other jts. the smell and the color are nice, but the consistency is awful. it's a tacky mess. i literally had to bear down and drag/push the applicator across my lips in order to spread the color. it was a struggle just to get an even application! perhaps i got the occasional bad tube, who knows. such a shame since the color was so pretty!
this is not one of the better juicy tubes imo. it isn't bad by any means, but if you're going to spend $17 there are better jt's that you could get. it does have a nice grape smell, and leaves a sheer interesting tint. but its not that impressive to me. just so-so.
Lip Gloss -Lancome - Lancome Juicy Tubes Gloss in No Reserve

this is a transparent lavender/pink with specks of glitter. it has the same consistency of other jt's so if you like that then you won't be bothered by this one in particular. i love it. it has a really yummy grape smell. the color it leaves on my lips is hard to describe. it's not clear, i can see the the lavender/pink tint, but it's not very pigmented either. a very sheer tint is the best way i can think to describe it.
i got a deluxe size sample of this. i thought it smelled alright until i put it on one day and asked my s.o. to smell it to see if he liked it. he told me i smelled like cleaning product. i don't know if i'd be that harsh but i can see where he's coming from. this smells so artificial.
