Eye Primer -Urban Decay - Eyeshadow Primer Potion - Original (UDPP)

This stuff really keeps your eyeshadow in place. My only problem with it is it dries out after a while and becomes hard to apply. But I like that it's sheer, dries quickly and prevents my eyeshadow from moving. Love this stuff.

Primer/ Corrector -NARS - Makeup primer

I noticed that I needed primer when I use my mineral foundation. In the morning when I'm in a rush to put on my makeup, I rush applying my mineral foundation and it gets that "cakey" look because I don't let my moisturizer set long enough. So I use NARS SPF primer and it's all right to use it once in a while, but not necessarily all the time. It smells nice and I can wear it alone if I don't want to wear makeup and just need sunscreen. This is my first primer so I'll update when I try new ones out, but it won't be too soon because I still have a lot of this primer left.

Powder -Laura Mercier - Mineral Powder SPF 15

I am somewhere in between Real Sand and Rich Vanilla during the winter, and during the summer I'm pretty much right on Rich Vanilla. Looking back at pictures where I'm wearing Rich Vanilla my skin looks flawless. My skin is pretty sensitive and LM's mineral foundation doesn't irritate my skin. I get really good coverage when I apply with a kabuki brush. I get a lot of compliments when I wear it. It lasts all day and I love it. I do hate it when I spill it all over the counter or carpet. Update (6-25-08): I'm having issues with my Rich Vanilla color, it doesn't look as good as it used to, so I've switched it up and went with Chanel's Vitalumiere or Teint Innocence Compact. It still feels really light, but the color looks muddy and dull. Perhaps I should use more Real Sand than Rich Vanilla. Update (8-08-08): I tried Real Sand and layered Rich Vanilla over it today. It looks all right, but it doesn't give me the luminosity that I like with Vitalumiere. I'm just glad it didn't irritate my ultra sensitive forehead. Update (9-12-08): This product is a real love-hate kind of relationship for me. You have to make sure your skin is moisturized enough for your skin to look luminous when you use this foundation. It'll really emphasize your flakiness if you don't moisturize.

Powder -MAC - Mineralize Skinfinish Natural in Light Medium [DISCONTINUED]
rated 3 of 5
sushiomelette 5/14/2008 3:04:00 PM

Overall I think this product works well with m NC35 skin tone. I do have to reapply in the middle of the day to eliminate shininess, but it's a compact and transports well. I do have to say it must be applied with a light hand, too much powder looks gross. It does cover some redness, but not all. I know that it was in Real Simple's Top 20 Beauty Products. I don't like the way it settles underneath my eyes, but it's a good powder and I will buy again. Update (7/21/08): I reduced my rating from 5 to 3 lippies because I put it on today and the powder just makes my pores REALLY stand out. It may be that I'm putting too much on, but I think the powder should be more forgiving. I'm sticking with Chanel for powder.

Eye Shadow -Chanel - Stage Lights

The purples in this eyeshadow quad are gorgeous for my skintone. In particular I really like the medium purple to highlight my lids. The color last for a long time. I'm thinking of mixing these colors with MAC dark purple eyeshadows for a cool evening look. For reference I'm MAC NC35, Chanel Beige 2.0.

Blush -MAC - Cubic

I think this blush is a really great neutral colo to wear everyday. I can pair it up with all kinds of eyeshadows without the colors clashing like they sometimes do. The texture is smooth and the color is buildable, and it looks great when paired up with a highlighter like BB shimmer brick or LM shimmer block. For reference I'm a MAC NC35.

Eyeliner -Laura Mercier - Tightline Cake Eye Liner in Black Ebony
rated 5 of 5

I have this eyeliner in Black Ebony and Bleu Marine. I've bought BB's cream eyeliner and it smudges by the end of the day. I have little asian eyes and whenever I open my eyes, the liner will smudge onto my lid unless even when I use waterproof liner. But LM's eyeliner stays on all day and doesn't move. I apply it with MAC's pointed eyeliner brush so I can get in between my lashes and can draw as thin or thick a line as I want. It does kind of smudge when I apply on my lower lashes, but to make it stick I use Benefit's She Laq or I'll use Chanel's stylo yeux waterproof eyeliner pencil (also another great eyeliner). I will definitely buy LM's eyeliner again. Update: I love BB's gel eyeliner too. It just took me a while to apply it right, but it also doesn't smudge on my lids and it looks more intense than LM's eyeliner.
