I love this product! Mixed with my foundation before hand, it gives me a fantastic glow! In a nice natural way! Great product! The texture is amazing too. Exactly the look i wanted to achieve, a great smooth sheen for a healthy alive look. I really want to try no. 6 now for summer.

I really like this, i don't use it on it's own, as i feel i don't have the type of skin or look that can get away with wearing this on it's own, but mixed with foundation, it really brings out a nice glow to my skin, nice texture and sheen in a natural way. Thumbs up.UPDATE: swapped it away, couldn't deal with the glow anymore, it was too much.

Foundations -Chanel - Pro Lumiere Professional Finish Make-Up ] [DISCONTINUED]
rated 4 of 5
TinaGreece 4/29/2006 6:29:00 AM

Well, for starters, I have this in #15 Opaline, and it is the EXACT colouring of my skin, which is great. However, it does tend to be abit dry if i use this on it's own, (I have dry/normal skin) but if i apply with mac's strobe cream, or Stilas all over liquid shimmer in gold, (mixed together before applying) i have no problem. Not a bad foundation, doesn't crease into my lines or make me oily, but will not re-purchase.I feel I can find abit better.

Mascara -Christian Dior - Diorshow Mascara
rated 5 of 5
TinaGreece 4/29/2006 6:24:00 AM

I bought this because I love mascaras with really fat brushes, i think it helps if one has sparse eyelashes. Now, as for quality, i have mixed feelings, sometimes it leaves my lashes thick and voluptious, other times abit straggly, i guess it depends on how i apply. What i really love about it is that it never goes on my upper lids, no matter how many applications! And that's a big plus in my book. It doesn't leave you with spidery lashes, and it does give them a nice look, i apply many times over when i want a more dramatic effect.Overall, a nice mascara, but will try Yves. St. Lauren Faux C. next. EDIT: I tried YSL- see my review (horrid) and tried a few others also, nothing compares to this one, it's definitely my HG mascara! Full lush lashes!

Makeup Brushes -MAC - #168 Large Angled Contour Brush
rated 5 of 5
TinaGreece 4/29/2006 6:19:00 AM

This is the PERFECT blush brush! It has a black handle and white soft bristles. The angle is has is fantastic for applying on blush in the perfect manner! It's like you just apply and it will do the job in getting the angle right for you without having to worry if you're applying right! the texture is amazing too, it just glides on! a real winner! UPDATE: I still like this brush, but i have since discovered the #187 and i find it immensely better!!!! 2nd UPDATE: Hmm, i don't seem to reach for this anymore, seeing it just seems too small for me now, yes, it's incredibly soft, but i find that it doesn't blend my blush well because of it's size, i think i just have gotten use to (besides mac 187) more bigger fluffier slanty brushes like EOB, and Stila's. Will try out MAC's 116,136 though also.

Eye Primer -Urban Decay - Eyeshadow Primer Potion - Original (UDPP)
rated 5 of 5
TinaGreece 3/29/2006 6:42:00 AM

Yep, read the reviews and had to purchase! I'm so glad I did, seeing applying foundation or concealer and setting it with powder before putting eyeshadow was getting too tiring. Also, trying on various "paints" did absolutely nothing but crease immensely and just "sat" clumpy on my lid. This is a very nice product, in a beigey concealer like colour, and i can tell it must be effective, seeing when I remove my eye makeup, this sucker doesn't budge easily :) Overall, my eyeshadows have lovely staying power, and most importantly, no crease! I love the exotic look of the packaging, but i hate it comes in a sponge applicator, and too little product comes out, as though it's empty. But will repurchase definitely.

Nice pump packaging, cheap (12.50 euros) but crap as hell. I have very dry hair due to chemical elements, and this did absolutely zero. Whether i put this on or not, absolutely NO DIFFERENCE. Crap crap crap. And the search continues....

Treatments (Eye) -Reviva - DMAE & Alpha Lipoic Acid & Vitamin C Ester Firming Eye Serum
rated 3 of 5
TinaGreece 3/28/2006 2:37:00 AM

Mmmm, nice eye product. I had read the reviews and I was woooed, so I decided to order this. It's cheap and you get a lot of product! It leaves a nice creamy base around the eye area, making it feel very supple and moisturised, without feeling heavy and oily. My concealer goes on nicely afterwards. As for a difference, (have been using about 25 days now) I haven't seen any dramatic results, but I haven't seen any worsening either, my eye area seems fresh and bright, so I guess that's good, and in general, it looks polished so I suppose it's doing something! (FYI I'm 32 with a few lines under eye.)

Treatments -Zia - Ultimate C Serum
rated 4 of 5
TinaGreece 3/28/2006 2:30:00 AM

Hmm, I actually like this product quite a bit. I have been using it for about 20 days now, every morning after I cleanse my skin and before I apply my skin care products (moisturiser and refinisher). It has a pleasant orangey scent, and has not turned the slightest bit brown etc. (It's a sweet yellow creamy colour) I keep this in it's box and in a dark cool place so it will keep in perfect condition. It's rather expensive for the amount you get, but my skin has smoothed out nicely and it offers a nice healthy complexion. (I've already noticed it has reached halfway of the bottle!) oh well, very nice product though. (FYI i'm 32 with dry-normal skin)

Primer/ Corrector -Christian Dior - Capture R-Flash
rated 3 of 5
TinaGreece 3/28/2006 2:19:00 AM

Hmmmmm, mixed feelings with this one.....I really thought that this was going to be my HG, seeing that when I tried this on my hand I felt like Meryl Streep in "Death becomes you" when she tried the potion on her hand first. Oh well, it comes in a nice pump bottle, it has not caused me any breakouts etc. whatsoever, but I do think it smoothed my hand out better than my face..... It goes on rather nice, but does fell a tad bit sticky, and the thing is, I just expected more glow and smoothness, and I didn't really see anything special....not bad, will use it but will not re-purchase. And 50 euros is expensive for this. (FYI I have dry-normal skin, 32 yrs old) Update: I went back to this after my Clarins instant smooth perfecting touch finished- and i love that one- and i can now say i don't like diors at all! it just leaves a sticky film/texture on my face. Rubbish.

Concealers -La Prairie - Light Fantastic Cellular Concealing Brightening Eye Treatment
rated 1 of 5
TinaGreece 3/12/2006 6:38:00 AM

Yes, it does come with a refill, so that was good value. But that's about it. The pen is too chunky, it made my under eye area crack (I looked 10 years older) and it dried my skin. I ran and bought Mac Select moisture cover the next day asap.

Treatments -Avene - Ystheal+ Creme
rated 3 of 5
TinaGreece 3/10/2006 3:41:00 PM

(FYI Dry skin, 31 yrs old with a slight dull forehead, and some fine lines starting to show on my cheeks when I smile)which is why I bought hoping to see a difference, and some firmness, oh and some radiance wouldn't be too bad either! :) Hmmmmm....I use this 3 times a week seeing I was told here I should ease my skin into this, and I only wear this at night seeing that this is supposed to not work well with sunlight. I also chose this specific one seeing 1. It's for dry skin, and 2. I have rather clear skin and have never had a problem with acne blemishes etc. It has caused no tingling, irritation, burning feeling whatsover, it feels like a regular moisturiser. Makes my skin feel supple and nourished. I use about five pump squirts (yes, I want that rich feelin, otherwise I feel it's not adequate for my skin). I haven't seen any difference, but then again, I have only been using for two weeks. Will update some time in future! EDIT UPDATE: I saw no optimal results with this...didn't make my skin worse, but not better either. Am currently using the Ystheal Emulision, and again, nada. Will try the Ystheal Gel next.

Cleansers -Avene - Cold cream ultra-rich cleansing gel
rated 3 of 5
TinaGreece 3/10/2006 3:31:00 PM

I'm pleased with this cleanser, it does not irritate, and I really like it cause it gets off all my days gunk- I wear makeup daily- in one go. It does leave my skin a TAD bit dry afterwards (I have dry skin though) but it's nothing my moisturiser can't help with afterwards. I rarely need to use a toner when using this. I don't use it everyday, cause I like using a cleansing oil too for my dry skin, but I do use it often. The tube bottle it's in isn't very handy, cause once you take the lid back, alot of amount comes out, so I just place this on my bathroom shelf upside dwn, and that works fine. Also, there is ALOT of product, and you only need a tiny amount! So, I'm sure I will have this for ages! Also dirt cheap! 9.70 euros! UPDATE: Was leaving my skin too dry :(

Moisturizers -Clarins - Multi Intensive super Restorative Day Cream
rated 5 of 5
TinaGreece 3/10/2006 10:27:00 AM

Well, I tried this for a week (sample) and I must say, just the scent would make me purchase it again! Heavenly! Very nice texture, left my skin supple AND matte! The only negative aspect is it doesn't have spf :( Otherwise, a very nice product for a moisturiser. (FYI I have dry skin, 31 yrs old) UPDATE Aug. 2008- I have actually gone through 3 jars (one of them also being the very dry skin version) and I'm very happy with it!
